- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2019There are many things one may expect when going in to meet with one's child's teacher. That said teacher will be your child's other parent is not usually one of those things. Jarrett and Brent had a night eight years before and then they lose contact. When Jarrett calls Brent in to talk about some issues with his daughter they are surprised to find out that they have more in common in relation to the well-being of this child than they realized. This was a cool second chance story not only for the parents but it is a chance for the child as well at a more complete family.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2021This is the first book in the series from the world building of Preston Walker and Liam Kingsley. A spin off but still a standalone series. It's a trilogy involving a set of three Alpha brothers. The Ewen brothers each eventually getting their own book. The first surprisingly is focused on the youngest of the brothers and a Single Dad. He's prone to wish upon what may have been, but his brothers and best friend keep him grounded. As does his little Alpha daughter.
She's a young girl really starting to feel her emerging Alphaness and at times is difficult for her Omega father to control. If only he had that Alpha and his life to help raise her and teach her how to behave properly by controlling her Alpha impulses. Trouble at school brings the Omega Brent full circle. After a shaky encounter he truly begins to believe in destiny.
FURBITTEN PREQUEL Unexpected
If you get the opportunity read the FURBITTEN Prequel. Fortunately I had it in my Kindle library. Am I ever glad I was able to read it before the First book in the series, because it made the story arc more cohesive.
It explains in detail things just touched upon in FURBITTEN TEACHER. Getting to know both Jarrett Ewen and Brent as younger men explained a lot. Learning about the family curse, meeting Jarrett's other two older Alpha brothers, and friends was humorous. I definitely recommend this PREQUEL if you are able to find it before you begin the first book FURBITTEN TEACHER.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2019This book gets 2.5 stars rounded up to stars. This series is set in the same world and town as the Howling Hills Heat series by Liam Kingsly. Sadly the authors never sat down to define this world they were writing in so there would be continuity across each of their series. Characters from Mr. Kingsly's series appear briefly in this book. Sadly that is all that is shared in common other than the location for the story. One problem is that in Mr. Kingsly series gestation is about 3 months, yet the wolf shifters in Mr. Walker's book take 9 months to give birth. On top of that there are so many editorial issues that I was tempted to highlight them all and send a copy to the author. No book should be release looking with this many sloppy stupid errors. At one poit there is even a single quote mark between paragraphs. There were also spelling mistakes that a simple spellcheck would have caught. I will continue with this series in the hope this crap will be rectified in them, plus I already purchased teh rest that are available. Plus I really like these characters and the overarching storyline. My issue are only with the quality of the editing not anything else! The book feels like it was rushed out rather than allowing for the time to actually do some quality control.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 15, 2019Fate stepped in to help Jarrett and Brent meet at the club but fear tore them apart. Fate brought them together again eight years later when Jarrett was Emery's teacher and discovered he was also her father. Brent had spent so much time trying to find Jarrett after that night at the club, he was thrilled and shocked that Jarrett had been so close for so long and their paths had never crossed. Nosy busy bodies, trust issues and a lot of stubbornness nearly kept them apart forever. Emery's lack of being able to keep a crucial secret helped heal her family. The scene that Jarrett and Brent walked in on at the reception involving Tate and Chasen had me laughing so hard at Jarrett's reaction.
'I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2019I enjoyed this book alot. The beginning of the book started out different with the backstory, but was necessary for the story. I loved Brent for an Omega, he was much more decisive than Jarrett. Jarrett wasn't too much of an Alpha until he was pushed to anger. But I can see why the author wrote him that way. There were a few grammatical errors but they didn't take away from the story....all in all, this is a good book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2019First thing I have to say, for the next series I do not want to see the word leant. However it was enjoyable. I love when I can experience the love between the characters. I am happy that Jarrett finally grew up. I am looking forward to the rest of the series. I love reading your books thanks Coe such great entertainment. It's funny serious and most of all the loving is awesome.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2019Jarrett missed out years of his daughter's life but also missed out those same right years of being with his mate as well. When they find each other they were so happy but there were people trying to keep them apart. But you can't keep dates mates apart.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 18, 2019This is a sweet story with a bit of predictability on the part of one main character. Both Jarratt and Brent are fully realized and likeable characters. There are some editing, grammar, spelling issues but they don't detract from the story. I have a quibble with Jarratt's work situation which isn't resolved, at least not in print, after he and Brent get back together. This seemed strange after the school leadership and some staff were so hostile.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice easy read story
Brent and Jarrett's story was sweet happy read. Perhaps they're slightly unlucky to live in the same town for eight years and not bump into each other. Will read book2.
A few spelling editing errors, which didn't impact the story tale.
I read via KU.
