    Book 6 of the Guarsed Hearts series, is dip in the dark end of the pool, as Gael, faces his tormentor and Elijah fights to save his fated mates. Sexy and steamy and dark. As always readers with triggers read with caution, dub/con non/con and violence are heavy themes in this story.

    I love this series, and I've really loved each of these books, but I think that this one may be my favorite of the series. That's because I really like Gael.

    I know that he has gone through so much and he's still going through so much, but there is just something about him that I really like. He's been so hurt and he's so fragile, and he really needs to have someone just love on him so much. Of course, that means that he has to let someone in to let him do that, but that's a whole other story.

    I do think that Sam is really good for him, and for Elijah and James. She sees the world in a very mystical way, and that lets her see things in a direction that other people wouldn't necessarily see.

    I like the addition of James into the dynamic. I think that Elijah, Gael, and Sam really need to have the foundation that he gives them.

    Elijah is just a sweetheart.

    Every time I think these two authors cannot top their last book they top it! I’m so glad I got to read and review this book because it started my 2021 reading off right. This is the darkest and most delicious book of the series IMO. Gael has been carrying a dark and potentially deadly secret and has been for a long time. He doesn’t even open up to Elijah, which is his partner and always keeps him at arms length. When they meet their fated mate Gael has such a hostile reaction that it drives Elijah into the arms of another. Sam has her own secrets and abilities. Will Sam and Elijah be able to save Gael from the clutches of a monster? Buckle up readers you are in for a wild ride!!! Welcome 2021!

    Sam’s story was very intense and very dark, but l couldn’t bring myself to put it down. I had to continue to learn more and more about each of the characters and become so ingrained that l felt as though l was part of the story.

    Sam, Gael, Elijah and James have one hell of an amazing story to tell - you only have to choose to take the ride with them. There was lots of action, and every single emotion possible you’ll experience while you read this. The authors didn’t let us down and the story was not rushed in any way. If you have lots of time to spare to soak in this amazing story, have everything available to you so you wont have to leave your reading cocoon.

    I had to be on my toes, not to miss anything in this story were Sam enters. It was a bit more complex with four persons in a relationship and not to forget Gus. Bring in Etienne in the pot also... Time flies and suddenly the book is finished and you don’t want to put it down.

    This is the sixth book in the series and like the other books, is another engagingly dark read. Gael has been through the ringer with everything that transpired with Etienne and now has a new partner in Elijah that he wants nothing to do with. All Elijah wants is to be loved and turns to James for comfort. Sam is a psychic who aids in solving crimes with the assistance of her dog. As she winds up teaching a dog obedience class, she runs into Elijah and Gael. The way the authors spin this mesmerizing tale with these four characters will leave you speechless. With each storyline, new secrets are revealed and one cannot help but fall. This is one exceptionally well written story that you will not be able to put down! I cannot wait for the next book.
