Drugs. Addiction. I knew those things. I lived them.
Breathed them. So when I met the Prez’s daughter I knew I needed to stay far away from her.
Yet she pushed my buttons and I found myself attracted to her and her mouthy ways.
I learned the hard way that you can’t fix what doesn’t admit to being broken.
And she was broken.

Not your stereotypical motorcycle club romance

Not your stereotypical motorcycle club romance
I picked this up expecting a stereotypical motorcycle club romance. I got a book that made me laugh out loud, cry, and get angry. It was downright gut wrenching at times. I was not expecting to become so attached to Gauge or Dezzy as quickly as I did. I read it in one sitting and stayed up way too late because I couldn't stop reading. Now I'm kicking myself for finishing it in one sitting because I don't want it to end and I want more of their story. I rarely want more from characters when a book ends. This is a rare case where I want to know what happens to them a year after their story ends, then 5 years later, and then 10 years later. I hope we get to see more from both characters as the SBMC Maryland books develop. I am definitely looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Souless Bastards in future books. The book is well written. The character development is amazing not only for the leads but for other members of the SBMC Maryland chapter which is important since this is the first book in a series. It needs to give us enough about the other characters for us to want to read other books in the series. Not only that there was a character that was introduced outside of the club that I really hope to see again. This is an incredibly difficult task to accomplish in a book that is focusing on a love story between two leads but also has those responsibility to give us enough to make us want to come back for more. Erin Trejo has done an amazing job with this book.

This is the first book in a new series called SBMC Maryland Chapter. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. There's action, adventure, drama, danger, suspense, twist/turns, enemies, survival, intrigue, mystery/secrets, surprises, family, friends/friendships, anger, fear, pain, conflict, resolution, confusion, confidence, strength, courage, trust, truths, stubbornness, struggles, protection, heartache, loss, lies, manipulating, obstinate, hatred, abuse (substance), attitudes, hopelessness, healing, trials/tribulations, arrogance, annoyance, torment, memories, tragedy, violence, acceptance, death, insecurities, misunderstanding, tension, turmoil (emotional), frustration, determination, patience, happiness, romance, passion/lust and love.
This is a story about battling addiction and how it effects those around the person with pain, heartbreak, canger, struggles, tears and if your lucky, triumphs!

This definitely was an uphill kind of battle. Some demons inside ourselves take hold, and it's hard to see past those hardships . As was the case with Dez and the SBMC. This was a rough, painful, and eye opening story. Read this with caution. I definitely recommend this book! Great read, Erin.

This book was amazing, I mean just simply amazing. I cried through half of it because I felt for the main character Dezzy. She has had a hard life with her mother and she is addicted to drugs. Then she finds herself in trouble and she reaches out to her father for help. That is when she meets Gauge. She knows she wants him but Gauge is not interested in her. She is his Presidents daughter so hands off. But Dezzy is persistent and Gauge slowly falls for her and he decides he is going to save her from her troubles.

This book is such a roller coaster of a ride I loved every moment of it. I got mad a few times at Dezzy because her decisions were stupid at times and she put the club and her father at risk.

Truly I am all twisted about my thoughts on this book. I started to read it but couldn't get past chapter three at first. I couldn't get into the story. I set it aside and eventually came back to it. I picked up where I left off but couldn't remember a thing that happened. BUT, I decided to read on. By the end I had tears in my eyes.

The characters at first seemed so one dimensional. The h was whiny and the H was whiny but annoying because he refused to open up. By the end I really felt for the h. I was able to identify with her and see myself in her. As for the H was still whiny and annoying. He was rather conceited. As if he was the cause of other people's actions and pain. He had a saviour complex but refused to give any of himself until the end. When he gets called on it he turns blame to the one who calls him out, his love our h.

The steam was ok. The plot was ok. The characters were ok. Overall just an ok book. I want to say that there was more to the characters and if they were fleshed out a bit more I could have really loved the book. As I said, in the end I really cared for the h, Dezzy and identified with her pain.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gauge is the VP and is tasked with getting the Presidents daughter home. On the way he figured out it won't be that easy. Once they get back to the club house he learns more about her, he's not sure he should be around her at all. But if not him then who? This book has everything heartache, love, loss, and action! I couldn't put it down!!

Dezzy the long lost daughter of the SBMC President Sly is in trouble so she called her Dad, the same Dad she hasn't seen or spoken to in 5 years.
Gauge tired from a run has to accompany his Pres to pick up his daughter who he's never met on the journey home sparks fly.
Betrayal, violence and drug addiction but with a HEA.

Wow! The first book in this new MC series was one hell of a ride. I read all in one go.

Gauge is VP of the SBMC Maryland Chapter. He’s tasked with picking up Dezzy, the club’s Princess. She hasn’t been home for years, so Gauge hadn’t met her before now.

When these two characters meet sparks fly. It’s like fire, meets fire. Their chemistry is off the charts hot.

Will they give into their feelings? Can they fight the demons from the past and the present?

Not giving any more away. You will have to read to find out. I really enjoyed this story.
