**ARC REVIEW** Love this Series!! Wow Giselle's story was so unexpected!! It was a total 360 for me. I thought I had a good glimpse of her in Book 1, I was totally wrong. In a good shocking way!! Giselle is struggling... She's having major issues with her mom's health situation, Younger Sister attending college and Father MIA... She's having to take on the burden of her family and at the same time keep a veil on so no one in her inner circles know exactly what's going on. Especially her BFF. Juggling all the home expenses and her personal expenses lead her to unexpected territories she must sacrifice for. Oh my dear Killian!!! Talk about being such a jerk at times! It's like a defense mechanism with him! Jeez he can be brutal. He's going through his own secrets and keeping his inner circle at bay. He has gotten small glimpses of Giselle's situation but has no idea the real truth! After several unexpected meet ups, Killian and Giselle begin to start something that either one of them expected will end well. The problem with Secrets, they always come to light! "I'm serious. Committed. There's no stopping what I feel for you. I'm running down the field to catch the ball. I just need you to throw it." Giselle and Killian will not disappoint!

    We first met these characters in Nick and Olivia story, The Pickup. And while I liked and enjoyed that story, this book makes me want to gush about it effusively and sing its praises for days. Killian and Giselle's story was so much more and grabbed me from the first page. Maybe it was the enemies to lovers romance. Or the fact that Killian was a bit jaded by past experience and saw all women through myopic eyes but is self-aware enough to evolve and admit when he makes a mistake. Maybe it was Gillian's character, doing everything possible, including something considered unseemly, to take care of her sister’s college education and her ill mother.

    Killian and Giselle are both broken. Her from a lifetime of being the parental role and dealing with a mentally ill mother, and him from a breakup ten years ago that shattered his soul and changed the way he views and interacts with women. Although their best friends are engaged, Killian and Giselle barely tolerate each other's company, but circumstances intervene, causing each to see the other with fresh eyes. They find depths far greater than they expected, secrets they long to uncover, walls they're determined to demolish, and a kindred spirit equally as damaged.

    Their story is compelling, their journey captivating, and their victories poignant and inspiring. Easily one of Ash's best works and the best book in this series so far, these characters will own your soul and stay in your heart long after the last page. If you enjoy enemies to lovers and sports romance with a ton of heart and a side of steam, you’ll love Killian and Giselle's story!

    First off I'd like to say that the city I live in made it into a book. I was super excited. I live in Charlotte, NC. It was such a nice surprise. I actually know where the Ritz Carlton is. Haha.

    Ok, I'll start with the negatives, well actually it's just one... Giselle sleeping with other men. I can accept the fact that she wanted to do it all on her own but becoming an escort just bothered me. She was having sex for money and that actually lost points with me. I can see her being a companion for money but not having sex. That kinda grossed me out. It actually brought my review down from a 5 to a 4. I hate it when the H or the h have sex especially when they've already been together.

    So now for the positives. I fell love with Killian. He was the nicest guy. He actually waited 10 years to be with a woman because his high school sweetheart broke his heart. That says a lot about the man and his intentions. He was waiting for that someone to make him whole. To unbreak him. He found that in Giselle. And the lengths he went through to get her was phenomenal. I loved their relationship, especially after Giselle quit being an escort. "Because when you're around I don't feel so broken or lonely". Talk about swoon worthy. I loved their chemistry. I loved this story. It actually put things into perspective. My mother could be diagnosed as bi-polar but she doesn't meet the qualifications 100%. But I understand the mood swings. The extreme highs and lows. I understand the screaming. The hate. The fear. I went through it growing up. It's probably the main reason my mother and I do not get along. We see the world differently.

    But this ended up being a really great read. After getting past the whole escort issue. I was so into their relationship. I throughly enjoyed their intimate moments, their interactions. I had a great time reading this book.

    Yesterday I read the first book in this series and I didn’t connect to it as much as I wanted to but decided to continue with the series and I’m so glad I did because I loved this one!!
    Killian and Giselle definitely did not like each other- they both had preconceived notion’s they had to get past. Giselle had the weight of the world on her shoulders- she was taking care of everyone in her life and didn’t want to accept help or be more of a burden to her friend (though Olivia wouldn’t consider her a burden). She has resorted to work at an escort service to make ends meet- though she was still struggling.
    After Killian got through her tough exterior he was able to see just how genuine, strong, and beautifully broken she was. He wanted to help support her but she had a hard time accepting it at first. He had his rude moments in the beginning but he truly was a cinnamon roll for her.
    I really enjoyed the progression of the story, just the right amount of angst. So many swoon worthy moments and delicious steamy scenes.
    I’m excited to get a peak inside Celeste’s head because she’s been a tough one to root for so far.

    Going Deep is the second book in the Imperfect Love series and it’s got me itching for more. After The Pickup I didn’t think this series could have me any more invested but boyza, was I proved wrong!!

    The lengths that Killian went to to show Giselle that he saw ‘her’ and not all her issues was wonderful and you could slowly see her begin to start seeing herself, and him, differently.

    A without doubt 5* read. I cannot wait for the next instalment to see what’s going on with Celeste!!!

    Giselle is a interesting FMC, it touches on her mothers mental health issues and the struggles she had growing up with such instability.
