Sam reminds me of the horses we rescue. Scarred, skittish, and…strong. Beautiful.

He’s a bit of a hat-stealer, and, truth be told, I’m a little leery of his chosen profession. The things he does in front of a camera... Well, it makes me blush just thinkin' about it. But if that scar on his face is any indication, he could use somebody at his back. I aim to be that person.

And yeah, some of my parts get confused by the fact that he’s all delicate and sparkly, but that’s not important. Even if the good hand lotion has somehow made it into the tack room.

I just hope he knows that he’ll always be safe with me.


It's official. I now identify as Wrangler-sexual, and it’s entirely the fault of Trip Goodnight. He's the strapping cowboy next door and will someday be the father of my two-point-five children. He just doesn't know it yet.

We’re an unlikely pairing, what with him being a straight cowboy and me being a gay sex worker, but those, darling, are mere details. When he saves me from a literal nest of rattlesnakes, it’s nothing if not true love. I’m aiming for a spring wedding.

In fact, I’ve stolen Trip’s cowboy hat and used it in one of my videos, so I’m already well on my way to making him mine. Besides, he’s the first man outside of my found family who’s made me feel safe. Protected.

    This was SO dang good. I adore Sam and Tripp. Like, might be one of my all-time favorite couples. Sam was just sunshine in a person? even with all the BS that life had put him through! He was so incredibly resilient. I loved his family and his brothers (I need to read their books). The Farm and the family he'd found just warmed my heart.
    Tripp..I'm like halfway in love with that man. He has the biggest heart and he was just so soft and quiet and cowboy-y?? IDK I'm obsessed with him. I liked the gentle touches and caresses between him and Sam in the beginning it was SO sweet. like I was kicking my lil feet reading the book.
    Tripp realizing he is attracted to Sam and Sam kinda helping him realize he might be interested in more, it was really good. I'm glad that the drama in the book wasn't around them getting together.
    There were some hard/uncomfortable parts of this book but I thought they were all handled well. It was really heartbreaking that Sams bio family was so awful to him but the found family he's made is 1000x better. This was such a good love story and honestly, I wish I could re read it again for the first time! It was so fun.

    I love Trip and Sam. These two are so much fun and fantastic together. Sam is so confident while also healing from being hurt and not trusting of most people. Trip is there to save Sam while also encouraging him to be himself and not hide.

    I like the one moment that caused Trip to open his eyes and his mind to all the possibilities that available to him. He is so sweet and cute to Sam once he decides to stop stalling. Sam is great with Trip and he keeps him out of his head while having the time of his life.

    I liked the characters at the ranch and I can't wait to see how the stories progress. I hope that Desi and Wyatt's story is last so that Wyatt has to get his head out of his...you know what. I had fun getting to meet everyone and I want to know more about the farmhands and the rest of the inhabitants of the ranch.

    I have been so excited for Sam to get his happily ever after. Trip certainly was worth the wait. Talk about the sweetest cowboy known to man. I love that while he was a little freaked out by his new discovery about himself, he took it in stride. He was everything Sam needed and deserved. I also loved watching how much the Bashes adopted him into the family. He fits in perfectly! I am anxious for the rest of the series.

    I didn't know what to expect from this book. Knowing how much I love everything else by Kelly Fox, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed no matter what - but was it going to be more emotional like her Wrecked series? Or more snarky with a whole lot of dark humor thrown in like the Guardians? I figured with Sam involved there would be a whole lot of snark, but what about everything else? Let me tell you...this book is the absolute perfect combination of snark, emotion, humor, swoon, and sexy times, with just a hint of danger. I don't know how Kelly does it, but her books just keep getting better and better.

    I'm a big fan of a size difference between MCs, and Kelly is the absolute QUEEN at writing them. Now, Sam isn't necessarily small but he is definitely femme, and Trip is a big ol' cowboy, and they fit together so dang perfectly. I'm sure I have mentioned this in a review of Kelly's books before, but one of my favorite things about her writing is that her men get together and they stay that way. There's no 80% miscommunication and breakup, there's no back and forth, there's just two men, who fall in love organically, and do everything in their power to hold on to it.

    I knew from his first introduction in Full Contact that Sam was going to be someone special, but I was not prepared for Trip. That man...he is a giant teddy bear and I couldn't get enough of him. He's swoony and dirty in the best of ways, and it's no wonder Sam fell for him immediately. I am so, so impressed with this book, and Kelly in general. This series is going to be fantastic - we have so many characters to look forward to. Desi, Wyatt, Warwick, Sparrow...I can't wait to see how everything at Rebel Sky Ranch plays out.

    Oh and I can't forget to mention that epilogue...sexy AF, swoony AF, adorable AF. Just so good!

    Cowboy, or should we say Camboy? When you find love while being swept off your feet. This was a great on the ranch type of book. I love a good cowboy book. Loved that Trip didn’t have a freak out moment. That he was able to lean into and explore. That helps when you have great parents. Well a great parent. Jury is still out about how I feel about Wyatt. I wish there was more anger about being lied to. I’m starting to chalk that up to the fiction part of stories. The oh I did this thing to you, lied to you, but it’s ok I forgive you. But it was hyped up the entire book that it was this big thing. Yup fiction. The writing was great, the smexy was HAWT, and I loved the crazy side characters. Excited to learn about sparrow.

    Trip is only missing how he labels himself. Sam being super femme isn't a big push. Maybe it would have felt full circle if Sam was a similar 'type' to the ex-girlfriend, but there's no mention of Trip having any preferences, really. Honestly he felt like a big blank, and it didn't improve much over the course of the story. And there weren't any of those small moments of connection that really make a relationship pop. I was looking forward to this story, but ultimately it was a struggle to finish it.

    This one scored a ten out of five on the romantic scale for me. They’re clearly both drawn to each other from the start. I loved how they took the time getting to know each other, savoured the sparks flying, and let the attraction grow and bloom into love.

    I loved the gradual build up, and the way Kelly builds tension, is just, wow. Things don’t get physical till around the halfway mark, but when they do, it is fire. I won’t spoil it for you, beyond saying this:

    We first met Sam in the Wrecked: guardians series as a truck stop sex worker.

    He's been through some tough situations and still remains an absolute delight so I am so happy to see him get the cowboy he's been lusting after for a while.

    Trip is a true southern gentleman and I love how he goes all in with Sam.

    This is a slow burn romance and the mcs don't get together until about 60% in so if you want something more fast pace this isn't for you.
