- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2021This book reminded me of the bedtime stories I was read as a child. I'm so thrilled to be able to continue the bedtime tradition with this book! The story was sweet and adorable and the illustrations are beautiful and soft. The perfect children's bedtime story!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2019This book is an amazing resource that addresses death in a very real way. It focuses on the feelings that death brings and it also addresses some ways that one can cope with those feelings in a healthy way. I read it with my 7 year old and he was very engaged. It opened up the door to some great conversation in a non-threatening way.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2021Seriously, this book is absolutely darling. My daughters (ages 8, 6, and 4) really enjoyed reading this book together. Ishkabibble is a young monster who is afraid to go to sleep at night because of the humans that could be lurking on the other side of his closet. His mother reassures him that humans don’t exist, however, Ishkabibble hears noises and decides to check it out himself. And what does he find … a human boy asleep in his bed and just as afraid of him as he is of the human. Through precious rhyme, the author does a fabulous job of teaching children that there is nothing to be afraid of and we are not alone in our fears. I love how the human and monster became friends. Such a sweet ending. I highly recommend for your child’s home library.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 28, 2020This is a very heartfelt story of a little girl who loses her beloved grandfather to cancer. The story revolves around a the young girls feelings and gently addresses how to cope with death for a young child. I was choking back the tears as a I read this story. It is a great tool to help young children better understand death of a loved one and that love actually remains forever, even when your loved one is not physically there.

5.0 out of 5 stars Such a fun twist to the monster under the bed story!
This is a cute story about fears that offers a twist that may help a little one better deal with some of those fears. As always from this author, children can connect with the characters and the emotions and enjoy the great illustrations.
