I was greedy with this book that’s for sure. Once I started I couldn’t put it down. The cliffhanger at the end of this book had me like 😨. This is a fast paced, spicy book that’ll have you on your toes the whole way through. Daniella just wants to get back to the normal life she fought to have, and keep protecting the only two people she has left of family. Antonio is all business. He’ll marry Daniella just to honor her dead father and because of the blood oath Antonio and Manuel (her father) made. Things start to get rocky and secrets are revealed….Can Antonio figure out why Isabel and Valentina are so important to Daniella? I can’t wait to get the next two books of this series tomorrow because I literally cannot wait to figure it out!

    I've discovered this series and the author reading Pride and Wrath arcs. And I fell in love with all the characters.

    Daniela is a brave one! I think this is what happens when you end up in a forced marriage with the one you had a crush on. You don't think straight. She could've said no 100 times and hung up the phone when she thought he was inappropriate :))) but nooo, what did she do??? She listened to him because she was curious and wanted to experience it. No shame in that, but come on, if she really wanted to say no and not submit, she would've said it.

    Even if Antonio was a total alphahole, he gave Daniela the freedom to experience and not feel embarrassed or ashamed of what she was feeling. What I liked about Daniela the most is that she didn't care that Antonio is who he is and told him everything to his face. Even if he almost broke her, she still fought for her real freedom.

    Antonio... I can totally see where Rafa gets it. And they really are like father and son. I was so glad to meet a younger version of Rafa, the one with no care in the world. And the way he welcomed Daniela, I am so happy for how Rafa turned out to be. Antonio raised him well and what I love about Antonio is that he will do everything for the people he loves. What I don't like about him is that he's GREEDY!!!!! I can't wait to see Daniela putting him in line :)))

    This book was so exciting to read. Fast moving, kept you interested in the story. Antonio was asked to marry his daughter before he passed away. Antonio wasn't interested at the time to be married. Daniela laid her father to rest. She didn't want any relationship between her and Antonio, she ran away to United States with her friend and daughter. Six years later Antonio decides that's it time for her to come home. He is to marry her and take over grape vines he was promised. Daniela comes back, but isn't happy to be with him. She finds out the deal that her father has made to keep her safe. Daniela tries to leave, not wanting to be kept a prisoner. Antonio finds out what she did and lets her board a ship. At the last minute he gets her and takes her to the winery, to the caves to punish her for try to run away. They are to be married and they go to the church for the wedding. As she is waiting to be married, A bomb goes off killing people. Now Antonio has to find out who tried to kill her. At the last moment they decided to get married. He sends her away while he and his guards try to find who did this terrible job in trying to kill Daniela. Will she ever be safe again? I thought this story was so exciting to read. Enjoyed reading this book, can't wait to find out what happens next in the next book! Their chemistry between them were off the charts. Will they find love for each forever?

    I guessed the big secret in this story long before the author took me to the edge of the cliff but it still felt like a cheap way to get the reader to pick up the next book.

    I was also put off by the hero's insistence (in his mental dialog, meaning he was only lying to himself) that he was done with her only for the author to reveal that he had been following her on her great escape. It just doesn't add up.

    All that aside it is a good story and I'm not sad I read it.

    I was kind of expecting each book to be it's own vices/ set of stories, but it's not. This book leaves on a cliffhanger - and unless you really enjoyed this book, not a big enough cliffhanger to read the second in a series of five. It wasn't terrible, but it was difficult for me to get past Antonio for sure.
