    All the characters were so vibrant and alive. There was a lot of struggle, but also so much love. Not only of the lover's variety, but the love of family was such a strong theme throughout. These books mixed just the right amount of love and cheesy romance. I feel like they had the right amount of serious, angst, and humour. I don't think I can bring myself to read Johnny's story right now, cause I already cried a bit reading Owen's and don't feel like more tears right now. I will be checking out the spin off to this series. I have to say, I liked the bonus stories, but I would have liked to have read them afterwards as the timelines were a bit off reading them between books. Also, I am a bit disappointed about Dani, she deserves to have her story finished with a Damn good HEA. All in all, these were great books. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

    Heathens Ink became my obsession once I started Rescue Me – I instantly became enthralled with all the characters and their romances. It was wonderful to revisit them all within these box set that contains all six books PLUS short stories and bonus materials. This box set does not contain the spinoff books within the Inked series.

    Heathens Ink is a contemporary romance series revolving around the men who work at tattoo shop called (not surprisingly) Heathens Ink. Each of these men have their own baggage and demons, but through the support of their friends and family, and the love they find with their significant others, they are able to find the happy ever afters they sorely deserve. A lot of heavy topics are discussed in these books, so make sure to check the trigger warnings. Other topics contained within these series are poly relationships, transgender issues, and found family. Plus, I really liked the small crossovers with the Downward Spiral men from the Replay series. I highly recommend this series.

    I have never read trans romance OR poly romance before. Additionally, I try to avoid themes of suicidality, drug use, and ex-cons. But damn, did KM Neuhold change my mind about all of that. Everything was handled so well! I got this box set two days ago and have not stopped reading since. I was brought in by her four bears series, thinking it was about M/M shifters, and I just cannot stop reading her content now. 10/10 would read again, despite some heavy and controversial themes. Totally worth it.

    If you haven’t read the Heathens Ink series take this chance to grab them all in one collection...plus some fantastic bonus material. K.M. Neuhold is a fantastic author and this really shows in the Heathens Ink books. Every single character is well formed, and fully fleshed - and with the amount of characters that is impressive. Every book is different too...there’s no formulaic cut and paste romances here - everyone has their own issues to overcome and even if forced to I couldn’t pick a favourite.

    Set around a tattoo shop - the series follows the tattoo artists and piercers and their lives and their loves. The writing will keep you needing more and when you finish one book you’ll immediately want the next. They’re also definite rereads (and rerereads).

    Overall the series can be summed up with one quote: ​"Dear God, thank you for beautiful men who love other men. Love Royal, Amen.“
