As a twelve year old, I borrowed a book from the library that I thought was a vampire novel. It turned out to be the true story of British "vampire" serial killer, John Haigh (amazing the things they'll let a 12 year old check out!). Nonetheless, I was fascinated, and even though the librarian wouldn't let me take out any other books on the subject, I became a true crime junkie, burning my way through True Detective magazines by the dozen.

Forty years later, I feel as though I've investigated more cases of murder than most homicide detectives, studied more serial killers than your average profiler, and spent more time than a conference full of psychologists trying to understand what every true crime buff really wants to know; Why do they do it?

My books feature the cases that interest me most. I hope that you will find them equally fascinating.

Great book about 30 Human Beings from around the world who can only be described as monsters, due to their horrifying cruelty. Fifth in a series of 5 books
  • Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2019
There are 30 chapters about serial killers, varied as to time and place, and each one is a monster. They must have had a tremendous amount of hatred for the human race and for the world in general.

There are no wives who poisoned their husbands for the insurance money. There are no men who snapped and punched a child too hard. These monsters are dedicated killers who seemed to take great pleasure in killing, regardless of the victims' age, sex, or social status.

As for motive, when one was noted, one woman murdered her friends and used their fat to make soap and their blood to make teacakes.

Each of the cold heartless killers were so real for me. . Most of them I have never heard of before. Monster is way too nice a word to describe them. Great book.

An average book. Short & sharp. Straight to the point. Other than that, basically a well written book. Keep up the good work Rob & keep those good books coming in.
