    This is the 20th book and the final nstallment of the amazing "Hell Squad" series. I have read and reviewed each and every one of these books over the last few years, waiting on the edge of my seat for the next to come out and now that this is the final I feel so many emotions. I'm so sad that this amazing thrill ride is over all of these characters have become friends that I looked forward to seeing every few months when a new book would come out. I've been angry at the Gizzida and cheered each time their evil plans were brought down in flames. I've laughed, loved, discovered passion and made so many friends over the course of this series that it's really hard to see it come too an end. But like all great and wonderful things nothing can continue on forever, and it there has to be an end this was an awesome way to conclude one of the best action, sci-fi romance that I have ever read.
    Selena was stolen by the Gizzida a long wild one ago and tortured and experimented on we first see her in Shaw and Claudia's story. She and the fiery hell squad soldier are held together and form a bond of friendship. Selena has unique powers that our planet over time has just enhanced and she has become a part of this planet and considers the humans in her life her new family. She will not let the Gizzida win and hurt her new family the most important being Tane the leader of the berserkers . He The biggest badass of them all and we've been seeing the attraction between these two blossom for awhile. In this book their attraction explodes and turns into a love and passion that surpasses anything either of them has ever know. I don't want to give anything away but this book does not disappoint. The action is fierce and intense. Their are moments of noooooooo, and your heart will beat straight out of your chest and you'll cry thinking is this how it truly!y and to be only for the action to continue and steel your breath a away. And the passion between Tane and Selena is an inferno that blazes brightly never to go out but to strengthen and grow with ever passing chapter of this book. The best in the series and a well deserved ending for the weary hero's and heroines of a post apocalyptic Earth. I'll definitely be revisiting my friends from time to time and looking forward to Anna Hackett 's next thrilling action adventure romance ride 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

    Over what to rate this book. On one hand the ot was a 5 and on other less.
    The couple finally coming to together was great (5) bit the conclusion of the story needed some work.
    One what happened to the female head and the ship that was supposed to be in space? Where she was controlling everything? And why they went through planets was not explained. If so advanced and not able to mate to give birth, all they need is to stay on one planet, and slowly mutate species. Unless they were hive or disease like species hosts.
    Also wished they wrapped up with reps from around the world on newly set up communication systems. Having spread tech, news and set up new global building.
    Definitely would have welcomed some of their families being found alive and at the wedding.
    Lastly the wedding should have some of his native people traditional dance, music. With the reps from other 3 settlements that survived the changes.
    Frankly would love a series, set 20 to 30 years in future.

    I couldn't wait to get to Tane and Selena story, could tell from previous stories that there was an attraction from Tane, but he was resisting.

    Serena did a lot to survive her, taking from her home and being used as a test subject by the Gizzard. Tane was very protective of her, but she didn't want his cushioning she wanted to experience what she was feeling for him. So Tane listened to his brother Hemi and let go of struggling with how he was feeling for Selena, his alien attraction. So he woed her and had a good start and showed her intimacy with a man. Good thing she had the same physical attributes as humans! So to thwart the Gizzard and the bomb they planned to change humanity in one go to infect the world, Dr Emerson and Noah with help of Selena, found her blood could be antidote. Tane is not happy with her being poked and hooked up as an experiment but Selena stands her ground to help.

    Next mission is to go back yo Blue Mountain where the 3rd bomb is and get antidote inside the liquid. Tough mission as they have hundreds of Gizzard to go through and fight. Selena decides to sacrifice herself to save her new family and her love by jumping into the bomb before it explodes, but Tane does not let her go alone so both there energy is added to antidote and a bright light and green haze expands across the globe to neutralize the bomb.

    I loved this story of Tane and Selena it had hope, love determination to concur the enemy and fight to end and be a Victor.

    I'm a huge fan of Annas book so i dont really understand why i took me so long to start this series....maybe it was the setting of horrible aliens while all other aliens from Anna are good and sexy and honorable. Whatever it was i finally started and guess what - i LOVED it - read the whole series in a rush one after the other never able to stop for longer than a
    few hours. Strong women and matching partners encapture the reader in their world and makes you turn the pages over and over.
    I will miss the squads but looking forward for more books and stories and worlds to discover!
