Another amazing story by Tracy Lorraine, honestly this series keeps getting better and better and I can't wait for what's to come next. Poppy and Zayn's story is a rollercoaster of emotions from page one. The level of suspense, drama, sensual tension and unpredictable surprises keep me at the edge of my sit begging for more. My heart goes for Poppy and everything she has to endure at such of young age. Her life is full of responsibilities and in top of that she feels rejected by Zayn and its constantly tormented by Preston. Zayn broke Poppy's heart a few years ago, and he has regretted that day for a long time. He feels an attraction towards her that he hasn't experience with no one else. When he sees Poppy is in trouble he is there to help her. Day by day their chemistry gets stronger and instead of her tormentor Zayn becomes her protector. The twist and turns in this book are just WOW!!!! I don't want to reveal too much of this story because you really need to read it. I can just tell you that "Hunter" is another hit on the Rosewood High Series.

    Tracy Lorraine really knows how to write a story that draws you in and makes you read all into the wee morning!

    This is Zayn Hunter and Poppy's story! Two kids who are crushing on each other but do not want to show it. Two kids that for all intents and purposes hate each other's guts. Yet, there is a connection between them that is waiting to be explored. This story is a must read!

    The supporting characters are also as interesting! Look for some mystery and suspense along with the romance. In this series, Thorn has continued to be my favourite, but man!!! Zayn has arrived and knocked him into second place.

    Reasons I enjoyed this book:

    Action-packed, Easy-to-read, Entertaining, Haunting, Page-turner, Steamy, Tragic, Twisted, Unpredictable, Wonderful characters

    Hey Tracey, I'm reading this series out of order and already read Letty's story. Does it make a difference? No. Each story is a great read on its own. The Hunter family is fascinating. Their mom is something else, but the real reason potential readers are scanning this review is to figure out whether they should dive in or jeep reading. That would be a resounding, "Yes."

    The story is dark and angst filled with more than a few storylines running through it. Each one just adds so much to the total story. There's an obsessive guy who has no boundaries, a girl who feels no self worth or love, a family trying to survive and a love that's almost thrown away. Still, it's a story about loyal friends, the family that loves you, and the boys and girl who drive you crazy. Even with all that, I have not given anything away.

    For those who need to know, Tracy never disappoints with the spice or her writing. Enjoy.

    I will never read another book with someone referred to as "Pops." I craved Pops cereal the whole book long.

    Speaking of long book... it was too long. I felt like 1/3 of the first half could be removed without affecting the story.

    Poppy has always had a crush on Zayn but a disastrous game of seven minutes in heaven as youngsters makes him her enemy. She won't forgive him for what he did.

    Zayn always wanted Poppy but said something on the spur of the moment that made Poppy hate him.

    Love and hate aren't mutually exclusive.

    I'm so glad we get Zayn & Poppy's story in Hunter. Poppy is Jake's cousin. If you're read Jake's book then you'll remember his Aunt & Uncle's house, the one that he was forced to live in the backyard of. I loved the general idea of this story that appearances aren't always what they seem to be. Poppy may live in a nice house but the inside is anything but. In addition to a troubled home life she has some very particular trouble at school. Hunter is told with dual POVs and contains unexpected elements of suspense and some high angst drama. It wasn't my favorite in the series but I couldn't help but get sucked in by the characters and what would become of them!

    This one was my favorite from all the Rosewood High. I am always so scared of the boys of Rosewood because they are so promiscuous, and we all know that Zayn had a reputation but things are sligher. The hook ups and conversations between the school are softned and not so intense as before, which was a great point. Be prepared for one thing, though, they are damaged, like really. Poppy got so many issues with everything, it is so sad to see her struggling alone. And from the past books I didn't knew how much family troubles Poppy had going on. Seeing her caring about her siblings was really cute and amazing. Poppy is an incredible woman.
    The book was a lot better from the others, more softned, without so much drama and I loved it! I expect something like that with Fury too! But in the end of the day they still teenagers and there is always a little bit of drama, bad decisions and sad days..
    One thing I don't like at all about this serie though, is the fact that they are always getting drunk and wasted, which is sad and so wrong. I believe that this is something for Tracy Lorraine to reflect. And call me crazy but I am waiting for Harley story, cam we expect book 7?

    She's been burned by Zayn a few times, but falls for his charm everytime. Hating that he has that effect on her. She trys to avoid him.
    But Zayn notices that something's not quite right with Poppy. Not that he's interested in her in that way, it's more curiosity.
    Does he continue his concern about Poppy? He does know that someone is hassling her.
    She is his Captain's cousin after all.

    Can Poppy stay in the shadows?
    Will anyone notice?

    This is such a gritty page turner. Full of twists and turns, some you don't see coming.

    Such a gripping read.
