Hatchet

My life was a series of horrifying moments and sleepless nights that caused me to become a suspicious person. I learned to trust my gut and not be afraid to defend myself from the monsters that scratched at my door.  But as time went on, the things I'd seen and experienced shaped me into someone I considered to be broken, damaged, and beyond redemption.

I never expected the stranger staring down the barrel of my gun would be the one to save me. He saw through the armor I had encased myself in and silently vowed to set me free. He showed me that I was worthy of love and gave me everything I ever wanted but didn't think I deserved.

When one of those monsters from my past comes calling, threatening to drag me back into the darkness, secrets are exposed and my world is ripped apart. Will he stand by my side as I embrace my nightmares, or will I be forced to walk away from the only person who's ever shown me love?
