And that’s not even the worst of it.

My friend Raquel didn’t pull any punches when she warned me about my brand-new costar and his notoriously player-esque ways. Apparently, my most important mission on my first role in a feature film is to stay immune to his charms.

Are you kidding me? Production costs on this movie are in the hundreds of thousands a day, and staying away from a panty-whispering, vajayjay-charmer is supposed to be at the top of my list? Pfft. Puh-lease.

It doesn’t matter that he’s annoyingly attractive, uber rich, crazy famous, and lusted after by ninety percent of the female population; Andrew Watson is trouble with a capital T—especially for a woman like me.

As a preventative measure, I’ve decided to go ahead and hate him.

Don’t worry, you guys, I’m completely in control. There’s absolutely no way I’m going to do something stupid like fall in love with him.

I can hate the player but still secretly love his addictive game.

I mean, it’s possible to hate the player while still loving the game, isn’t it? I have to give Hate the Player 5 Hollywood Stars. There is NO WAY you can hate Andrew Watson. Andrew May have been a player until he encountered Birdie Harris. A couples first meet is a HUGE thing for me and Birdie and Andrew do not disappoint with their hysterical first meet. Their story gets funnier and sexier after that fateful day. Your favorites from Taming Hollywood’s Baddest Boy and Winning Hollywood’s Goodest Girl have their appearances. Along with an hysterical bridal shop experience that had me flashing back to my time. Max Monroe I would love to know the secret of how you come up with all the various names for the male anatomy throughout your books. I have lost track of all the different names but I salute you for coming up with Staff Sargent Dick Richardson. Keep them coming!

    Birdie Harris is a country music star who has just been given the opportunity to star in her first movie. Her family warns her off her infamous co-star. He likes fast cars and beautiful women. She needs to keep her pants on around America's Sexiest Man Alive to keep her reputation intact.

    Andrew Watson's mission becomes Birdie as soon as they meet for the first time. He may be wanted by women around the world, but he only wants the one that's keeping him at arms length. He loves to rile her up and she makes it so easy. Starring alongside her will be nothing but fun for him. These two are witty and snarky with their banter and it makes for some laugh out loud moments.

    The chemistry between Birdie and Andrew is smokin' HOTTT! On screen they sizzle, but off screen she can't get far enough away from her tormentor. Andrew knows what he wants and he's not going to stop until her gets her.

    This was a fun read that I enjoyed from the first to the last page. Andrew went from jerk status to full blown swoony boyfriend material. The man knows how to sweep a woman right off her feet. The build up was well worth the wait because when they broke it was fireworks! And props to Uncle Tim for the constant comic relief. We all have one in the family.

    My favorite author duo continues to bring us lovable characters, unending humor and lasting love. A great read and another couple to love. And that ending....Romance Gold.

Birdie and Andrew, the lead characters in this book, together are snarky, crazy, electric, outrageous and fun. This is an enemies-to-lovers, workplace romance with a bit of a forbidden romance edge. Max Monroe always excel at creating characters who are multi-dimensional, and writing dialogue that is clever and true to the characters. This book delivers that all perfectly.

    Birdie is ready to make the leap from country music star to movie star, in a role that seems perfect for her. Her co-star, Andrew, is a box office star already, with a reputation as a total playboy. The people closest to Birdie warn her vehemently to not get personally involved with Andrew. Andrew, however, has sides to his personality that people don’t know about. He is also a much better person then his reputation would indicate. She intrigues him for multiple reasons, including some he himself can’t understand.

    Luca and Billie (Taming Hollywood's Baddest Boy) and Rocky (Winning Hollywood's Goodest Girl) have important roles in this book, but you do not have to know their stories to completely enjoy this one. It’s fun when characters from other books appear! The only flaw in this story is that I want to know how the movie ‘Grass Roots’ did at the box office, and what about the 2 albums??

    Max Monroe … ladies … please give us another story in this book universe!

    This is the first book I have read from this duo and I’m so glad I did. It was great. Loved the premise and loved the banter. I found myself laughing out loud maybe times throughout the book.

    I was hooked from the first chapter and loved both main characters. The chemistry between them was off the charts and I loved seeing them go at it verbally.

    It was also fairly light on drama which was nice. I thought I had the twist pegged from early on. The player gets caught in a compromising position and the good girl walks away thinking he betrayed her, but that wasn’t it at all. I appreciated the authors not going with the easy plot.

    I absolutely loved Andrew. He was hot, alpha, but also a teddy bear with an amazing heart. Loved seeing how he treated her throughout the book. I mean technically from the very start he was doing things to help her, even if she didn’t realize it.

    Amazing book. I’ll definitely read the others from this series.

    How does Max and Monroe do it? Every single book they hook me in from practically the first sentence and Hate the Player is no different.

    I absolutely fell in love with the two main characters, country music star Birdie Harris and Hollywood star Andrew Watson. They are just perfect for each other!! Birdie, as Andrew aptly called her, is a firecracker! She quick to temper, so freaking sassy and just straight up hilarious. If you've read Taming Hollywood's Baddest Boy (and really it's a must read), you know he's a notorious playboy and Birdie has been warned. But trust me there is way more to Andrew than just his playboy ways.

    So what happens when Birdie is set to costar in her first movie with Andrew? Hilarity ensues!!! She is determined to hate him and he has quickly figured out what makes her tick. Good lord does he love to set her off. Gah!!! These two together are absolute enjoyment!

    From hate to secret to lovers to true love this book is a MUST read!

    Another fabulous read from Max Monroe. He is a fully fledged Hollywood heartthrob who likes the fun of the ladies but not really into the relationships they want. She is country singer from Nashville. They come together for a film (she has never acted) he Germany films under his belt.

    They meet and let's say sparks fly but in more of an antagonistic way.

    This story is funny, heart warming and will leave you smiling. Max Monroe just statehood characters with witty retorts. Never disappointed.
