    Galactic Gladiators book 3. A crazy great mix of Spartacus and Star Wars. In this book Rory and Kace fall for each other through the battling of the enemy and trying to find another crew mate. She's a human and engineer. He's a badass gladiator but also a soldier from another planet. This book is crazy, funny, dramatic, angsty and sexy.

    --What’s Going On--
    Engineer, Rory Fraser, has been kidnapped off her space ship, been held captive by evil aliens and now she's been rescued by the House of Galen and her friends. But someone wants Rory dead and she has no idea why.

    --What are the Issues--
    Rory is trapped on an alien planet with no way to get back home and now she has to adjust to a new life with the House of Galen. Kace Tameron is at Kor Magna Arena for a 2 year training contract. He comes from a military planet that trains from birth to protect their people and suppress all emotions -- including love.

    --What I Liked--
    I loved Kace's strong honor and loyalty and watching him learn to love and accept emotion was great. He starts out incredibly stoic and dedicated only to his training and his home planet but he can't resist Rory no matter how hard he tries. They have some rough spots as Kace works through his issues but he eventually gets it together. I also enjoyed seeing more of the District since we hear a lot about it. There was even an appearance of Rillian who I'm definitely curious about and hope will have his own book. We get to see some more of the other gladiators, Saff and Lore, who have been more in the background up to this point. Anna Hackett also threw in another human -- a guy this time -- who was taken from the space ship and is now being forced to fight in the deadly underground arenas.

    --What I Would Have Liked--
    This was focused on more actions outside the arena and Rory herself is not a gladiator. There was really only one arena fight and some training that Rory is working on. I really enjoy the gladiator theme so I wish there had been some more arena fights.

    Raised on a military world to be a soldier, Kace Tameron is a disciplined and trained warrior. He has a two year contract with Kor Magna to train and hone his skills in the ring. He lives to protect his planet and fight, until he meets the beautiful engineer Rory Fraser.

    Rory was rescued by House of Galen at the end of the previous book, Warrior. She is a tough, spunky, and smart woman. She has been fixing things since she was a child and can fight her own battles. I really enjoyed this smart and dangerous woman. I loved how determined she was to break through Kace’s rigid exterior and find the real man underneath.

    Kace has basically been brainwashed since he was born to be a supersoldier. He knows nothing about love or relationships. He repeatedly tries to push Rory away but that feisty redhead refuses to let him. Their relationship was a lot of fun, especially since they were total opposites. I just love seeing these big brawny men fall for their human women.

    If you are looking for an action packed, romantic, and alien filled read, pick up this series. Hackett does such an amazing job at mixing action and romance I will always recommend her series to people.

Kace is a military alien on loan for two years to the Arena so that he can home his fighting skills, he never thought anyone could pull him from his duty. The more I get into this series the more I'm getting hooked on these characters, and I love the surprise at the end. I would highly recommend the audio book companion!

    This one follows Kace and how Rory draws him out of his hardcore millatry shell.
    Her personality was as magnetic as her fiery red hair is described and loved how she was able to look at her circumstances and move forward. In some moments she had me laughing especially when she caught Kace off guard.
    Kace is here to improve his fighting skills so that he can help his fellow Antarians in their fight against their enemies. Rory manages to shake up and break through his rigid persona.
    Together they try to figure out why someone wants her dead.
    I loved the chemistry, plot, action and pace of the novel. It kept me thoroughly entertained.

    Ich habe mich sehr auf Rorys Geschichte gefreut, da sie eine starke, temperamentvolle, energiegeladene Protagonistin ist, mit der man einfach durch die Geschichte rauscht, lacht, weint, kämpft, liebt. Ich mochte sie ab der ersten Zeile.
    Und Kace... Ich wusste zunächst nicht, was man von ihm zu erwarten hat, aber wurde positiv überrascht. Anfangs war er regelrecht eine kalte Maschine, abrr Rory hat mit ihrem eigensinnigen, lebhaften Verhalten ein Feuer in ihm entfacht, dem ich nur zu gern beim lodern zusah. Beide passen einfach perfekt zusammen, obwohl sie so unterschiedlich sind. Ihre Liebesgeschichte entwickelte sich großartig und das Ende rührte mich zu Tränen.
    Auch das ganze Setting war mal wieder spektakulär und die Kampfszenen grandios. Es gab reichlich Spannung und Action und ich bin gespannt, was noch gegen all die Sklavenhändler auf dem Planeten unternommen wird, welche die Menschenfrauen entführten, festhielten oder kauften.
    Ich kann Band 4 kaum erwarten!
