    I love Anna Hackett's books they always have adventure, lot of action and an artifact that everyone wants to use to take over the world. There's also a lesson in Mayan and the Snake King culture and how they lived before their villages faded back into the jungles.

    Dr. January James is working in Guatemala and has found d two cylindrical objects and the third is current at the Team 52 warehouse so when her plane is taken down by a paramilitary group there will be a race to get Team 52 with Seth Lynch a former CIA agent who always rubs her the wrong way. Throw in a Eco-terrorist who want to revert the world back to a jungle and you've got a fantastic book.

    It a wild adventure with lots of danger, a friends to lovers romance and an object that could cause the eco system to revert back to the dinosaur age.

    This action packed adventure was another amazing addition to the Team 52 series. January was a feisty, independent, and smart hellcat who is determined to live her life to the fullest. I love that she isn’t afraid to defend herself or stand up for what she believes in. She also stands up to Seth, which he needs. January is just one kickass lady with an awesome job. (I always wanted to be an archeologist.)

    After being betrayed multiple times, former CIA agent Seth doesn’t trust anyone. This leads to him making a big mistake with January and almost losing her. He is strong, protective, and emotionally walled off. While getting January out of the jungle safely he realizes how much he likes her. Once he admitted his feelings the dives all into the relationship, which I really liked. I just adored seeing these two finally admit their feelings for each other and make it official.

    “Are you scared?” “Oh yeah.” He gave her a long, soft kiss. “But I know we’ll work this love thing out together, and enjoy every step.”

    I am loving this series as much this second time around as I did when I first read them. I cannot wait to get acquainted with the rest of the Team 52 team.

    This is the second book in the series. It is Seth and January’s story. January is an archaeologist and Seth is former CIA. They love to argue with each other and supposedly can’t stand each other. January found 2 Jade artifacts that could be very dangerous in the wrong hands. Team 52 has to thwart the baddie so that the artifacts can’t harm anyone. It had a good storyline and a HEA, now on to the next one.

    I will tell you that every book I've read, I've loved.

    She brings ALL the things that keeps me entertained. Strong characters-hot men, sassy, strong women and action where good verses bad.

    If you are a fan of the above then you need to try her stories. If you're trying a new author then you have to pickup one of her books and BAM you just might get a new author added to your favorite authors list.

    Full of action and steamy s*x, Mission: Her Rescue was another excellent book by Anna Hackett. January was a spitfire of a woman and she knows how to take care of herself after losing her mother as a teenager. Even after a plane crash January is still holding strong and she'll do anything to protect the orbs from falling into the wrong hands. When theses two first meet, Seth is trying to "acquire" an artifact of January's and she nails him in the head with a pole. I loved that the team is constantly giving Seth a hard time about their meeting but they also recognize how good January is for Seth.

    After being betrayed in the CIA, Seth doesn't trust easily and he makes some mistakes with January because of this. He's hard and stoic but he's also a natural protector and he gives everything he has to get January out of the jungle safely. Though trust issues cause some problems, I liked that Seth goes all in with January once he realizes his feelings. I've loved the concept of Team 52 from the beginning and I can't wait for more.

    Wow! This story moved faster than anything! The Team 52 members are really good, but they are facing bad guys who are really bad, too! Seth is a wonderful hero, always saving his woman, even when they can't agree on anything! They have super chemistry. January is a woman who has been through a lot in her life, but doesn't let that get her down. She never gives up.

    A breakneck pace, intense tone, action oriented storyline with some strong character development and super steamy scenes along with incredibly well developed, vivid characters all combine to make this one of my favorite reads from this year! I can't wait for the next one to come out. Fortunately, it will be out next month! Read these in order. You can even read Treasure Hunter Security before these 2, but you don't have to! Enjoy!

    Ich weiß gar nicht richtig, wie ich meine Gedanken zu diesem Buch in Worte fassen soll... Ich war sehr enttäuscht, dass die Protagonisten nach 34% des Buches miteinander schlafen. S*x ohne Gefühle füreinander gibt mir als Person und Leserin einfach nichts. Ich finde es weder heiß, noch ergreifend oder spannend oder sonst irgendetwas. Außerdem nahm es für mich die ganze Spannung aus der Liebesgeschichte - und da war vorher einiges an Spannung und Knistern, Necken und heißen Küssen. Und dann kam der Sexmarathon und ich wollte das Buch am liebsten abbrechen und habe es nur noch wegen der Abenteuer um die Jadekugeln gelesen.
    Man muss sich als Leser ab diesem Punkt nicht mehr fragen, wann und wie die Charaktere miteinander schlafen werden, wann sie dem Knistern zwischen ihnen nachgeben und wie ihre Interaktion ablaufen wird. Diese gesamte Spannung war nach 34% des Buches weg. Es ging nur noch darum, wer als erstes "Ich liebe dich" sagt (was dann zum Großteil nur auf körperlicher Anziehungskraft beruht und nicht darauf, dass die Protagonisten den Charakter des anderen mögen). Und da man ja weiß, dass das Buch ein Happy End hat, sorgen die selbstverständlichen Worte "Ich liebe dich" am Ende wohl kaum für Spannung.
    Wirklich schade.
    Was dem noch die Krone aufsetzte, war, dass es in diesem Buch so absurd viele S*xszenen gab, dass ich gänzlich den Überblick verlor. Für mich sind er*tische Szenen in Liebesgeschichten ein Muss, aber sie sollten für mich persönlich eine Ergänzung sein und nicht den Großteil der Geschichte ausmachen. Hier dreht sich aber leider alles nur um S*x, die Gefühle und Abenteuer treten gänzlich in den Hintergrund, sodass ich auch nicht mitfiebern konnte und die S*xszenen nur noch überflog.
    Ich habe die Treasure Hunter Security Reihe geliebt, weil es in erster Linie um echte Verbundenheit und tiefe Gefühle zwischen den Charakteren ging und nicht nur stumpf um er*tische Szenen ohne Gefühle. In Band 1 der Team 52 Reihe war dies zum Glück ebenfalls der Fall, aber von Band 2 bin ich persönlich sehr enttäuscht. Ich schaue Band 3 skeptisch entgegen und hoffe sehr, es wird darin wieder mehr Story als S*x geben.
