Vivica, a young woman is trying to find herself. She moved from NY back to her home in Dahlonega GA. Living at her Aunt's B&B, she finds that her deceased parents left her money in trust. She searches for a career and decides that she will open a needed florist shop named The Black Orchid, her mom's favorite flower. The flowers are to be grown by her and will be delivered on a bike! Not making too much sense to me at this point. How do you personally deliver or grow enough flowers to make a living. Delivering flowers, she runs into a major problem. The story ends. Perhaps I missed the fact that it was a short story told in increments. (Or my Kindle messed up.). A tad frustrating. That said the author writes well although her characters are typical - old law officer boyfriend and mean girl high school enemy. I am reading the next increment to see if the author moves forward as she develops her main character.

When I saw the cover for this read ,I knew I would likely love it. Sure enough Vivica and her Hound have me hooked.I love the concept of her new business venture , using flowers from her mom's garden and delivering them by bike.I also like the characters Aunt Mildred and Winnie as they are a hoot.Look forward to reading more of this series.

Misused commas, misspelled words made this story less enjoyable. No depth to the characters or story. It was a short, quick read....nice start.

Not a bad story if you like cliffhangers which I don't. This story was good starting off. There were a few typos and words misused. The premise was the same, girl moves back home, love interest who is in law enforcement, mean school nemesis. Of course she also has a best friend and faithful dog. She then finds a dead body. Yada yada blah blah but nothing new.

I bought Hidden because it is set in a town I love, Dahlonega. This is a great beginning to a truly cozy mystery series. I enjoyed all of the characters and found them very likable. By the end I truly cared about the main character and her family and friends. Looking forward to book two!

She has had enough of city life and has returned home to her only living relative. Her aunt is showing her age and she feels that she has made the right decision. When she is given a cheque, a trust from her deceased parents, she is unsure what to do. A decision is made for her - flower shop. Her community doesn't have one as she found out when she tried to get flowers for her trip to the cemetery. Her business takes off in a small way, by delivering flowers by bicycle until her flower shop opens. Some of her deliveries are harder than others. Like the mock order from the mean girl in high school and when she finds a dead body. A sweet start that ends on a cliffhanger.
