    One of the things I liked the most about this one is the strong story line. The plot is solid and rich in detail. It brought the characters to life and made the relationship between them more engaging. The steam and spice were also fantastically written, and they weren't the same scene on repeat. I'm excited to dive into another series with a shared setting and characters I can come back to.

    This is the first book in a series Club Exposure by Ivy Nelson, a dark romance. It features a CIA secret service agent, Peter Mercer, who is protecting Director of CIA Corbit Upwood, after several attempts on his life. Also you will read about a journalist named Carrie Davenport, a high energy, feisty young woman, out to get her story, regardless for her own safety. When Carrie and Peter meet sparks fly and an instant attraction for both are formed. There is one problem, Peter doesn’t like or trust journalists and that can be a big problem for the both of them. From the very first chapter the book had everything you would want to read in a book, from action, corruption, murder, kidnapping. Throw in BDSM and love, and you got a very interesting book that you will not put down until the last page is read.

    This book has everything you want in a solid, riveting, smoking hot story. Exactly as you'd expect from Ivy Nelson if you've read her.

    Strong spunky female heroine, with rich and interesting details about her job that twist right into the plot.

    A plot that is interwoven into sizzling scenes. You won't get bored with the characters, the sex or the plot. (I hate predictable...this is NOT)

    You can see the secret service guy open up and change as he interacts with our heroine. Love feisty women and the men that adapt and get better as the story morphs.

    As the first book in this new series, a stand alone, with only a few cross references to others (ex: Lance Moss, from her Diamond Doms series).

    It took me a little bit to sort out the characters in the first few pages, but persist... once the story line grabs you, you are likely to read straight through!

    I am already looking forward to the next one!

    This can be read as a standalone and is also now part of a Boxset, the first of two featuring Club Exposure.
    Another first in a series of interconnected standalones and a great read. Peter Mercer is working for the Secret Service and running protection for the Director of the CIA.
    Carrie Davenport is a journalist working on a piece about Human Trafficking. The two meet at the new Club Exposure when they are both asked for input into the opening of the club.
    As Carrie delves further into her story it becomes apparent that the very people Peter is protecting have something to hide and that The Director Peter is protecting is heavily involved with a strip club from which women are disappearing. Carrie is putting herself in danger and Peter is drawn into keeping her from being killed.
    Carrie is in a relationship with another woman and is also keen for Peter to "play" with them at the new club. As they explore the BDSM world within the safety of the club, the dynamic of the relationship changes and Peter and Carrie are drawn further into a dangerous world that could see them both killed.
    If you like a mystery/thriller with a lot of spice thrown in, this is the book and indeed the series for you. There are many other characters within the story that have so much potential for their own Club Exposure stories. Why not grab this book within the new box set where you will meet more of the people who play at Club Exposure.
