In this Curvy Girl & Mountain Man Second Chance Military Romance

Alphalicious Wyatt Ridge feels like something has been ripped out of his very soul... and he's about to find out her name. Again.

What if you made the perfect love connection and then you forgot about it?

37-year-old former Army Ranger Wyatt Ridge doesn't remember much from his past
—including that one week that had finally changed his lonely life for the better.
When he woke up, he was told he had no one, but that wasn't true.
For seven days he had it all, then a cruel twist of fate took everything away from him.
It should be okay since he doesn't recall a single moment of it, but it isn't.
No one would believe that you could feel the loss of something you don't even recollect ever having had in the first place, but Wyatt does: he feels the loss
every day and he has for five years now, even if he has no name for his longing and the ache in his heart.

One bullet to the head should have killed him and he knows he is lucky to be alive, but he can't help the feeling that his injury took
something far more precious than breathing from him.
Now, he is an entirely different kind of ranger and his existence is one of stubborn solitude and hard work in the wilderness of a nature that is the one thing he
does remember loving from before.

What if you were sure to have found 'the one', only to end up waiting for a call that never came?

Five years ago, 26-year-old graphic designer Kenna Davis took a grudging break from studying to go on a brief oceanside vacation with her roommate.
A whirlwind romance with a stranger was the last thing she expected, but she got it all the same.
For seven days she had it all and everything was toe-curling kisses, fast-beating hearts, magic nights, and a head full of a happily-ever-after that she couldn't wait to start living. And then he had to leave.
He told her they were each other's forever and that she was his heart, and she believed him; how could she not when she could feel so deeply that he was hers?
He promised he would call soon, that he would come back for her and Kenna promised she would wait. And she did.

There are hateful days when she wishes she could forget it all, but most of the time she still longs for him. The memories that haunt her have kept her alone all these years, but they are still much sweeter than they are bitter, and she can't let go of them yet, but maybe she can start to move on now.

She's the part of
his soul he didn't know was lost.
He's the part of
her soul she can't bear to forget.
And maybe, just
maybe, the very fate that ripped them apart will finally throw them together again.

Dear Reader:

By saying
'maybe' I mean 'sure it will': this is a full-blown HEA-guaranteed, cheesy-sweet novella after all and Wyatt & Kenna are just too in love not to find their way into each other's arms again.
This NO-cheating, steamy book has it all and does away with all the unwanted annoyances you don't ever wanna see in your cute romantic reads.

So let's see what exactly did I throw into this thing: amnesia, hot insta-love all over the place and sweet second chance romance at the same time, a clueless —
literally— possessive, growly, big alpha mountain man with a beard —of course!—, a sweet curvy heroine with a heart that needs mending, an unexpected inheritance, soap-opera-quality medical miracles, a quaint, small town in the Rockies as a backdrop, a red-hot passion that will set your kindle on fire and a boatload of babies.

Another book to add to my top 5 of the year.
    I. Freaking. Loved. This. Story.
Ok, I know you're probably wanting to know the reasons I've made this one of my faves of the year...and I'll tell you a little bit why but you'll have to read the book to find out more. So let me get to the business stuff first.
    -dual POV
    -virgin h, celibate h
-no cheating - no others during 5 year separation
-epilogues at 5 years and another 5 years later
Alright, the emotions that this book brought out in me...I felt that sh*t. It's not often I'll read a book and go..."d*mn I feel that" throughout the majority of it. The author did an amazing job in describing the turmoil that these 2 MC's went through while being separated.
She also created the perfect mix of a tough, alpha, possessive military man who is also sweet, vulnerable and is just completely gone for his one. Those are the types of H's that I love to read about and Ms. Flint sure did deliver on that here.
And this book was HAWT!! And I mean so steamy. The dirty little birdies will enjoy, I have no doubt. Wyatt and that filthy mouth of his. Mmm...mmm!
So those are a few reasons why this book struck me. It had so much that I enjoy reading about and I had a fantastic time reading it and excited to know what the next page was going to bring me. This will be a multiple re-read for sure.

    I loved this book!

Wyatt and Kenna's story was truly heartwarming and all the soulmate feels.

I really liked that we got to be a part of their story past the typical "find each other again, get married, HEA, THE END.

We get so much more and their love story is definitely worth the read!

Ember Flint’s Hot for the Ranger is the seventh installment in the Hot for Heroes series. In it she chronicles the romantic journey of Kenna Davis and Wyatt Ridge. Kenna is tricked by her nasty roommate to go out with her. Kenna finds herself alone and the object of attention from a man she wants nothing to do with. Wyatt is a Ranger on leaves. He sees her and knows they are meant to be together. He saves her when the guy tries to push himself on her. Kenna and Ridge’s connection is passionate and intense. He gets called away on a mission, gets hurt, and suffers from amnesia due to his injuries. Meanwhile, Kenna searches for him to no avail. Five years pass and Kenna moved on, however, her heart is still with Ridge. She moved to Colorado. Unbeknownst to each other they live in the same town. During this time Ridge keeps feeling he is missing something. Will they stumble into each other? How will she react to seeing Ridge? Will he remember who she is? Can they find happiness? To find out, you must read this quick romantic read.
I enjoyed this is contemporary romantic tale of a girl meets boy story line that is imbedded with ups and downs. The dialog moves the story along as it also helps readers to discover the lead characters’ nature.

I so wanted to like this book, but I wanted to stop reading after Wyatt and Kenna bumped into each other. I liked the way the book started. We are learning about Kenna, her “bookworm” nature, and her complex relationship with her roommate. We also learn about Wyatt, a bit about his military background, and friendship with Jonny. I loved reading about the dynamics between the different friendships. I liked the starstruck moment between Kenna and Wyatt at the beach bar.
Unfortunately, I was thrown off when I did not read about their week together before Wyatt had to return to the Middle East. One moment they are talking on the beach and the next it’s their last night together. I flipped back to make sure I hadn’t skipped any pages.
I continued thinking Kenna and Wyatt would relive those moments once they re-met year later but was disappointed that those memories would not be shared with the reader. I was left wondering: Why were they attracted to each other? What parts of their lives and dreams did they share? What happened during their week together?
The passion was definitely there, so much of the couple’s time is spent in these intimate insular moments. But what I was missing was the romance.
I did finish the book and my favorite section other than the first quarter was the epilogues. I loved reading about them in the years since their second meeting.
There is so much beautiful language in this novel, I just wish the romance was there. The only other minor change I would suggest is make Wyatt closer in age to Kenna. He sounds like a younger man.

P.s. vertiginous is my new favorite word, especially after not wearing heels during quarantine.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Ember did an amazing job with this book even though there was a glitch with the book which has now been fixed. Ember has showed us that not only are her characters relatable but their emotions are real and raw. Wyatt and Kenna's story broke my heart. All the pain and suffering for Kenna and for Wyatt everything he was dealing with and not remembering. There were definitely struggles along the way and one very nasty roommate. I highly, highly recommend this book. You won't be sorry.

Awesome story. Wyatt and Kenna meet a week before he’s being deployed. They make it count and make promises of forever when he returns. Kenna agrees to wait for him and does. But, what happens when he is injured and doesn’t remember her or their time together? She thinks he’s never coming back to her. Can she move on without him?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
