    I really love this series, “Hot on Her Trail is some hot reading with tons of passion. If you listen to the audio the narrator will keep you taking deep breaths as he brings to life this wonderful hot mess of a read. It has just the right about of passion, caring with some wonderful characters that you wish you could be part of their family. The author pulls you in and the narrator takes you away.

    Jacob has changed his ways, he use to be somewhat of a playboy but now he is ready to settle down and start a family. The only issue is he can’t find that one woman who turns him on like no other that is until he finds a nude women in his barn. One look was all it took for him to know he found the women of his dreams. Now he has to get her on the same wave link as his thoughts so he can marry her. Is it love or lust at first sight?

    Jessie has had a hard live, it is about to get harder. She is pregnant not knowing who the father is. A family hired her to have their baby, that didn’t go as planned when they found out she was given the wrong sperm. She is off to find the real father of her baby, her baby needs a father and the father should know. She doesn’t want anything from this family just wants to do what is right.

    The question is how will Jacob take this news? Will the family of the child she should be having let her walk away? What will Jacob’s family think of all this? Is it love or lust? Who is causing all the trouble around the ranch? So many question with not to many answers and time is running out.

    She has her hands full from the start Jacob has his hands full trying to keep this little hot number. The author gives you and outstanding read or in this case a listen to. She puts just enough passion to keep you hook as she twists and turns her story. I bet you will be hooked from the first page I know I was. This is one book you do not want to put down. You will laugh so hard at the mess this family makes of their life’s as they fight against the clock to protect one of theirs own. You might want to keep a tissue handy on this listen I feel sure you will have tears in your eyes before you are done. Sable is an outstanding author who brings must to each of her pages with her smooth, humor, and her real life issues. I doubt you can walk away from one of her read and not feel the great emotion she puts into it.

    The narrator was great, I love his voice, he does put a lot of emotion in his read. The only problem I have with him is at times he take a swallow and you can hear it. I didn’t care for this but that is the only issue I have with him. He has a smooth sexy voice you could listen to all day. He really did a wonderful job.

    I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to Sable adding more audio’s to this series. I will be first in line to buy them. It is truly an outstanding read by an outstanding author.

    Ok... Here goes.. Love Jacob and Jessie, Jacob kept calling Jessie a doll but he was too me,he was sweet and kind and yummy and amazing ,insta love with the shifters or Vamps. Or any paranormal needed... But he needed to be a lot more Alpha at times, he sounded like one Hell of a lover but Jessie deserved more of a fighter! What jackass Noah pulls near the end of the book was nearly unforgivable,he's prejudiced towards Jessie from the get go, is ignorant of her and her past and Never tries to get to know her or enlighten himself, makes a snap judgement and later not only his mean and kinda cruel to her ( making a almost month pregnant woman walk from their ranch into town but his action almost get her killed after thanks to him she's kidnapped.. As loving as uber sweet as Jacob is Noah is the exact opposite and No matter how much Jacob loved his Brother he should gave Noah a Major ass kicking for just sticking nose in and cruel int lying to her much less what it lead to... What kinda man forgives what all Noah does at all ,much less that easily ? Is ridiculous....and while I like Jessie,she was just WAY TOO NICE and neither she nor Jacob should have forgiven Noah anytime soon... Soo what Noah put tot her the babies room thanks to Noah there almost was a baby ;( and I'm sorry Sable why I'm loving this series per say , why between book 16 ( where I started and by ok 1 and this book and from I can see book 3 at least as well why are all your men rather experienced or even whorish and the women are uber sweet,sometime naïve innocent virgins ? Why? Do the women either have to be either scheming, gold digging sluts or innocent naïve virgins ? Hello! Most us true women are somewhere in between, we're not sluts but we're not virgins either, we're not naive but we're scheming either and we have backbone and sass...

And speaking of sweet, it wasn't sweet to see Joseph is really such a shallow jack ass or that Jacob and Jessie's story ended at 80% to start the back story for Joseph and Cady's , that Oooo I don't know ,aaaaaa should be in book three the one THAT IS Joseph and Cady's story ?
    That bit ! I being this story at 80% to give us material that DHOULD be in the next book not this one!!!

    Jacob McCoy is the second eldest of the McCoy brothers. Physically, he's the biggest of the brothers. He also has the biggest heart. He is a philanthropist, community leader and lover of animals. Jacob is a wealthy man who has come to a point in his life where he would like a wife by his side and a family in his home to fulfill his life.

    Jessie Alexander is young woman who has a difficult past. Her loving father died when she was young. Her mother and step-father made her feel lacking and having dyslexia has contributed to her low self-esteem. Being poor, uneducated and being a housekeeper left her feeling undesired and unwanted.

    Jessie is given the opportunity to make money by being a surrogate. Unfortunately, the couple who hired her are less than savory; especially the husband. After a mis-up at the clinic, a discovery is made that the baby does not belong to the couple. They insist Jessie get an abortion. Instead, Jessie escapes to find the true father of her child. This search brings her to Jacob McCoy.

    Jacob is instantly attracted to the curvy Jessie. Although she feels the same, she doesn't feel worthy of his love and attentions. Eventually Jacob's determination, strength and commitment wins out and wins Jessie's heart. Together they share steamy and passionate loving.

    The second installment to the Hell Yhea! series, Sable Hunter has written a story filled with hope; where love wins out.     Jessie Montgomery hatte sich als Leihmutter von dem Ehepaar McCay anwerben lassen. Doch die Klinik mit den Samenspenden hat die Proben verwechselt und so ist Jessie nicht von Keith McCay schwanger sondern von Jacob McCoy. Die McCays versuchen sie mit Gewalt zu einem Schwangerschaftsabbruch zu zwingen und Jessie flieht. Auch deshalb weil ihr Keith nachstellt und sie mehrfach nachts in ihrem Zimmer belästigt hat. Sie findet Jacob McCoy und schleicht sich heimlich auf dessen Familienranch, wo sie zwar Lebensmittel stiehlt aber durch Arbeiten wie Unkraut jäten oder Ställe ausmisten ihre Schuld abarbeitet. Niemand ahnt etwas von dem geheimen Besucher - bis der Jüngste, Nathan, sie eines Tages beim Baden überrascht und Jacob holt.

    Jacob ist fasziniert von dem hübschen Mädchen und als später herauskommt, dass sie von seinem Kind schwanger ist, ist er entschlossen, für Mutter und Kind zu sorgen.     Schöne Weiterführung der Geschichte, die quasi nahtlos an das Ende des ersten Bandes anschließt. Allerdings gab es hier für meinen Geschmack ein paar zu viele Übertreibungen. McCay und McCoy - wirklich?!? Also das hätte die Autorin besser machen können. Auch fand ich etwas unglaubwürdig, dass Jessie sich als Jungfrau zum Austragen eines fremden Kindes überreden lässt. Keine Frage, im Großen und Ganzen fand ich die Geschichte wieder toll aber manche Details waren einfach für meinen Geschmack etwas zu viel. Welcher Mann schließt denn ohne irgendwas in Frage zu stellen eine Frau in die Arme, die behauptet sein Kind zu bekommen? Das ging mir etwas zu schnell, auch wenn ich fand dass die zwei ein schönes Paar sind.

    Jessie hat in ihrem Leben nur Zurückweisung erfahren. Ihr Vater starb als sie noch klein war und ihre Mutter hat sie immer dafür kritisiert, dass sie nicht so perfekt aussah wie sie selbst. Ihr Stiefvater war abgestoßen von ihrer Legasthenie und hat sie deswegen abgelehnt. Seit Jahren hat sie den Blick in den Spiegel gemieden in der Überzeugung zu dick und zu hässlich zu sein um irgendwen zu gefallen. Doch Jacob ist vom ersten Augenblick an völlig von Jessie bezaubert und will sie haben. Seit Aron Libby gefunden hat, möchte er selbst eine Familie haben. Er zweifelt zu keiner Zeit an Jessie und ihrer Geschichte und lehnt es sogar ab, Jessie irgendwelche Papiere unterzeichnen zu lassen um sich finanziell abzusichern. Das fand ich etwas merkwürdig.

    Auch hier darf der Leser schon wieder erahnen, um wem sich die nächste Geschichte drehen wird. Bereits im ersten Band ist Joseph McCoy nach einem Unfall von der Taille abwärts gelähmt. In diesem Band bekommt er eine Frau aus New Orleans empfohlen, die mit ungewöhnlichen Methoden große Erfolge erzielt. Cady kommt auf die Ranch um zu helfen und wird von Joseph direkt beleidigt. Es ist klar, dass die zwei im nächsten Band zusammenkommen und man darf auf das WIE gespannt sein.

    Alles in allem dennoch eine schöne Fortführung der McCoy Geschichte und ich bin schon sehr neugierig, wie es auf der Ranch weitergeht. Auch bei den Brüdern Isaac und Noah scheint sich schon abzuzeichnen, wer für sie bestimmt ist. Trotzdem ist die Geschichte schön geschrieben und ich möchte auf jeden Fall wissen, wie es weitergeht.

    Fazit: Nicht ganz so gut wie der Auftakt aber auf jeden Fall lesenswert. Die McCoy Männer sind einfach zu sexy!

    Hot on Her Trail by Sable Hunter is one such story. It's about Jacob McCoy and Jessie Montgomery, two individuals who come from opposing sides of the track. One rich, one poor, but both with the same belief in the importance of family.

    Jessie has a disability which limits her options of making her life better. She becomes a surrogate for a couple but by some fluke, the donor is Jacob McCoy. Already feeling that something is wrong with the intended parents, Jessie flees to Kerrville to look for Jacob. Her intention is not to blackmail Jacob, but to get his promise that he will not seek custody of the child growing inside her. However, when they meet, sparks of the sexy kind fly and that's where the next chapter of Jessie's life begins and ends with Jacob McCoy.

    Ms Hunter has a knack of dealing with issues that stare us in the face. But we either refuse to acknowledge them or feel uncomfortable in doing so.

    One is surrogacy. Despite all the legalese that makes surrogacy iron clad it cannot prevent the pain caused by the separation of the biological mother from her child, even though she knows the child was never hers in the first place. Neither is it easy for the intended parents when the surrogate mother decides that she cannot part with her child. It becomes a no-win situation.

    Another is a misconceived perception that people from the wrong side of the tracks are money-grabbing individuals or gold-diggers. Noah McCoy proved himself to be an ass here when he jumped into the wrong conclusion as to why Jessie was with Jacob. He was just too straight-laced to see that it was his brother who wanted Jessie in his life. Noah refused to listen to Jessie because she just didn't fit in. There is a back story here as to why Noah is protective to a fault and you need to read the story. But this brings one question to mind. How many of us are not guilty of the same mindset as Noah's at one time or another in our lives? Food for thought.

    Hot on her Trail is an erotic romance and a happily ever after story. What girl wouldn't want to be wooed and cherished by an upright, sexy hunk of a man like Jacob McCoy, who presses all the right buttons? What girl wouldn't want to be treated like a princess?

    Ms Hunter has also placed a spanner in the works with regard to Jessie's baby. Quo Vadis?

    I'll leave that to you to find out when you get to read Hot on Her Trail. But I have to tell you this. Once you've read the book, you won't look at love in the same way again.
