    I found this book helpful in learning how to write a cozy mystery and deciding if I'd like to attempt to write one. Really does a deep dive on how to structure a cozy mystery and provides lots of examples. The book also has a section on subcategories and where they might fit in Amazon searches. There are a number of grammar errors in the Kindle edition which were distracting and took away from the otherwise enjoyable reading experience.

    I really enjoyed this book. It's lively and packed with good information. And hooray, it uses an ACTUAL BOOK to demonstrate how to plot and outline and not a movie like Star Wars or Harry Potter. Words can't express how tired I am of writing guides that talk about film viewing and not actual, you know, WRITING. It's step by step with a lot of detail on how to set up suspects and clues.

    Nina is a successful genre author so she knows what she is talking about. I thought this was a great guide to mystery writing. Highly recommended.

I feel like Nina Harrington wrote this specifically for people with brains like mine. Exactly the correct combination of information, actionable items, and writing tasks. She dumbed it down nicely.
