How to Lose a Girl in 10 Texts (Digital Dating Book 4) Kindle Edition
Sophia Whittington is the girl next door.
And Dillon Cunningham hates her with the fire of a thousand suns... Only, it's not hate as much as... something else. The things that happened between them in high school, coupled with the loss of his dad, are a big part of what drove Dillon to decide that his future would be far, far away from Solano Creek, his family, and especially, Sophia.
So when his brother Boston's wedding brings him back to his hometown, and circumstance throws him together with the girl he once thought might be THE ONE, he does everything in his power to avoid her.
Sophia has a plan too. Her lingering feelings about Dillon have gotten in the way of everything else she's tried to do with her life. She's going to banish him from her heart for once and for all. And it will only take ten texts.

About the authors
I'm USA Today Bestselling author Delancey Stewart. My contemporary romances run the gamut of settings and setups, but they always deliver humor, heart and heat. It’s a guarantee.
I write from my home in Denver, CO, where I manage a household full of boys and men. Okay, only one man. The hubs. But two boys. I mean, three if you count the hubs. (You see why I do words and not numbers. I was told there’d be no math in this bio. Someone lied.)
I grew up in California and have had more jobs than anyone on earth (personal trainer, pharmaceutical rep, copywriter, tech writer, marketing director, wine seller, elementary school teacher… I’m not kidding. The list. It goes on.) But the one I love the most is writing, in part because I get to meet people who love books and stories as much as I do! Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to say hello, and don’t forget to join my newsletter!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2021This was a quick, fun story that I read in just a few hours. I came in late to the series and this story makes me want to go back and read about the other Cunningham brothers.
Dillon Cunningham and Sophia Whittington grew up together and were the best of friends until one misunderstanding split them apart. Several years later, Sophia needs closure and takes the advice of her psychologist BFF and decides to send Dillon ten texts disclosing her not-so-positive attributes hoping to drıve Dillon out of her heart and mind. Except the texts don’t have quite the result she was looking for.
If you’re looking for something light hearted and entertaining, this is the romance for you. It's sweet and witty, charming and tender, and guaranteed to put a smile on your face and a happy sigh in your heart.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2021Expect the unexpected is the best description for this series. Each story is full of so much fun and laughter, while bringing forth the emotions to add that extra level. Sophia and Dillon, along with the rest of the crew, will have in fits and then fanning yourself as they try to fight any attraction. Will they finally get their happily ever after? Or will the last continue to interrupt their chances? A great addition to this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2022What a great story with Dillon and Sophia, great love does strange things when you are young and things get misinterpreted. At least Sophia and Dillon have time to finally find out what happened all those years ago and fences got mended. I love the story and the HEA!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 12, 2021I'm really enjoying this series and getting to know all the Cunninghams. I loved Sophia and Dillon's story. A really great second chance romance that captivated me from the beginning. I was really routing for these two and I'm hoping for more on Jacques and Mom Cunningham.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2022I love when I can relate to a character in the book I'm reading. I think I related to Sophia so much that it could be embarrassing. But, I loved that she managed to get a second chance with Dillon...warts and all. I love the family and friends and how supportive -- and a little eccentric -- they all can be. The grand gesture at the end is always the best part.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2022Sophie has had a crush on Dillon forever, so when he asked her to prom she was over the moon until some information came to light and she stood him up. Both were left with hurt feelings. Years later Sophie is ready to put everything in the past but first she needs closure with Dillon refusing to talk to her texting is the only way. Cute story.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 10, 2022More family fun with the Cunningham’s! The text that caused the Prom fail was the start of the love hate relationship. Some of the story got pretty farfetched and the Big Conflict lacked reality enough to feel contrived. Nice touch throwing in Claire Kingsley, Lucy Score, Pippa Grant.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2021What an amazing final book in this series! Loved every second of this book and of course all of the previous books. I highly recommend this series and love the way the authors handled the new way people connect online. The authors also take into account all of the ways this new online dating and communication can both work and fail at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved!
I absolutely adored Sophia and Dillon! I have absolutely LOVED this whole series but there was just something about Sophia and Dillon's story that just had me love them a tiny bit more!
Growing up Dillon and Sophia were really close, she was the girl next door, they were looking forward to going to prom together but a misunderstanding led to Sophia not turning up and Dillion in the dark not knowing why. Now he avoids her at all costs and focuses on his company in San Diego.
But enough is enough Sophia wants to hash things out, but with Dillon running or jumping at every chance he gets she needs help!
It's been such a warm, fun, light hearted series to read, I have enjoyed every single minute of it. I really hope Marika and Delancey decide to write another series together as I know it will be every bit as amazing as this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely feel good story.
Sophie is trying to cure herself of her unrequited childhood crush. He won’t speak to her. After a collaboration with his twin and mother they convince Dillon to come so that Sophie can get this misunderstanding out in the open. With the help of her therapist friend she starts to send texts about the ‘negative traits’ she has. Unfortunately, this just makes him love her more.
Loved the main and secondary characters, they made for an easy to read and witty story.
My favourite part is the prom where Pippa Grant, Lucy Score, Claire Kingsley and Whitney Dineen make an appearance 🤣
