About the authors
From USA Today Bestselling Author Apryl Baker...
So who am I? Well, I'm the crazy girl with an imagination that never shuts up. I LOVE scary movies. My friend Chazz laughs at me when I scare myself watching them and tells me to stop watching them, but who doesn't love to get scared? I grew up in a small town nestled in the southern mountains of West Virginia where I spent days roaming around in the woods, climbing trees, and causing general mayhem. Nights I would stay up reading Nancy Drew by flashlight under the covers until my parents yelled at me to go to sleep.
Now, I live Huntersville, NC where I entertain my niece and nephew and watch the cats get teased by the birds and laugh myself silly when they swoop down and then dive back up just out of reach. The cats start yelling something fierce...lol.
I love books, I love writing books, and I love entertaining people with my silly stories.

Fallen Sorcery is a coalition of authors who write in various shared paranormal romance dystopian worlds. You can learn more and view all the current collections at www.fallensorcery.com
Many years ago, the Original Sixteen witches were able to contain an outbreak of demon-like creatures from overtaking the earth. But doing so came at a cost. For the human race to survive, the world had to be divided into sixteen sectors, trapping the ravagers to the outer lands beyond, and trapping the humans in.
The Original Sixteen served as regents over each of these sectors, and when they died, the strongest of witches took their place, using their own personal enchantment abilities to protect their sector. In the process, communication was lost. The only solace that remains is the knowledge that if another sector fails, their own may still survive.
But what happens when your sector is the one to fail? What happens when the world inside your walls is just as bad as the one outside them? In this collection of sixteen dystopian paranormal romance tales, each and every one of the sixteen sectors is about to find out.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseOk so I'll be honest it took me way longer to actually give this book a chance than it should have. I found book after book to read while this one stared me in the face each time I opened my kindle. I am a huge Apryl Baker fan and it made me so mad I struggled to get into it. Then 1 day ago I decided I would give its 3 chapters if I still wasn't hooked I would admit defeat. Boy those 3 chapters were FANTASTIC. I couldn't put it down. I devoured this story and loved every freaking minute of it. The love, compassion, alpha males, betrayal, and the unknown all take you on a delicious journey with Katya. I loved it so much! Seriously read it. You won't be disappointed.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI am not a huge fan of books about shifters and vampires. That said, I live Apryl’s books so I wanted to give it a shot. It did not disappoint. I enjoyed the female lead’s strength and sass as much as I enjoyed the strength and dominance from Roman.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseReally liked this one. Easy to read and relate to the characters. What I really liked is that the villain actually had a personal vendetta against the heroine and that the oppression that resulted was actually personal. No vague lust for power, this had a definite cause and effect for the main character it also ultimately would have doomed the whole section. I loved the concept of the main character becoming more powerful with her transformation and that she has support to handle the challenges ahead.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 24, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseA fun short story - part of many by different authors in the same vein (forgive the pun!) with Vampires and humans fighting a battle against 'Ravagers' and sometimes each other! Each story is set in a different 'sector' protected by magic against the Ravagers. Katyia's and Roman's story is a very good one and their 'battles' fun!! Apryl Baker weaves words so well you can just 'see' what is happening - I will be looking for more work by this author as well as the rest of the stories of each 'sector'!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseOh, yes, this is truly the kind of series I am constantly looking for. The first book on Sector One set me on the path to acquiring the rest of the series. Oh my, Sector Three is so exciting! Katyia's story is thrilling, full of magic and mystery, death and destruction and painful betrayal, but also so sweet and sexy and full of love, of family, of friends and fellow countrymen, of a mate found, of acceptance of new powers. Love it! Any hope for a sequel?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI loved the concept of the book. It was completely new something i haven't read before. Which is hard to do since I'm an avid reader. This book was written about things that have been done over and over. Vampires, witches, love, forgiveness, pain but i can honestly say it is a one of a kind. I only gave three stars because of its simplicity but that will be good for a younger reader. I would recommend it.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2019Format: KindleVerified PurchaseI've never been one to read the romance novels but this one took me to a place I've never been. It was exciting, thrilling, heartbreaking... I cried, giggled and I felt a fire light up and a turn on I haven't felt for a while now. Loved the novel, love Apryl Baker and I can't wait to read what she delivers next.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 23, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseSolid characters and story telling make this one of my favorites in this series so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars The trinity of power.
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt's two years since I read the Ghost Files ,when I'd just started reading and reviewing books. I was mightily impressed then just as I am now. Fast paced and logical story with good dialogue made this an entertaining and "don't put me down " quality book. The way the story unfolds to the ending is very clever. Well recommended
