I want the Rain to Stay Paperback – March 16, 2022
Purchase options and add-ons
I want the rain to stay
So you and I can live once again
Under the tendril drops of a falling rain
Much like the grey clouds that leak secrets buried in their folds, this collection of poems reveals the core of a hidden heart at the very sign of a returning silence, drifting emotion, or a fading memory. Through these innate moments of colorless and ethereal quiet, I hope to evoke a sense of stillness within. Embark on this windswept misadventure as the first raindrop falls.
About the Author:
Swetha is an ambivert who enjoys social interaction, as long as she gets some alone time with a book, tea, or a tree. When she isn’t hopping between coffee shops with her husband, SK, pursuing a perfect latte, she can be found destroying recipes by substituting ingredients or tending to her modest succulent garden, her newest hobby since working from home. Even
as she continues to explore new horizons and interests, one thing has been the same: her love for writing. This book is her way of reminding herself that even the strongest emotions fade, that time is not so much of an ally, and what counts is how far you are prepared to go to find yourself. - Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2022It is such a joy to read this book! Swetha has done an incredible job in portraying even the smallest and most intricate emotions and feelings in a beautiful way.
The blend of prose and poetry certainly makes the read refreshing! I could really connect to some of the experiences and emotions Swetha shares in her book. Some of the pages introduced me to look at life in a different way and to pause, notice and appreciate even the smallest of things.
Overall, it’s a wonderful book and I wish Swetha the best. Looking forward to more of her works in future!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 12, 2022Me being a bookworm, I get attracted to good books. This book took me to an emotional ride of deep understanding with it’s each poem. The most impacted one is ‘Change’ where it says Nothing is permanent but ‘Change’.
Whenever it rains , I remember the quote ‘I want the rain to stay’ and recollect the feelings and emotions that I experienced when I read it. It doesn’t felt like new author for the first book. Waiting for the next emotional ride what this author is going to bring!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 11, 2022Brought a sense of stillness and calm while reading it. Gonna gift and recommend this to whole lot of friends.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightful Dearies
"I want the Rain to Stay" by Swetha Pujari
I want the rain to stay So you and I can live once again under the tendril drops of a falling rain says the author
Her Poems are so delightful as they are the symphony from deep within her heart.
The author mentions in the Preface "I don't write to find my voice;instead,I write to reposition myself as a perpetual observer of the transient thoughts,so that I silently witness them passing"
The first page starts like this
" The poems in the pages belong to no one,but I dedicate them to the infinite universe you hold in your heart"
The narration of her proses is as incredible as watching a movie and knowing that all these poems and proses are from her real life experience will make it more enchanting.
Poems I loved
alive,souvenir,city streets,tenacious,I want the rain to stay,past,a slice of you,to Tabrizi,cruise,last kiss,time steps
Excerpts from the book
a slice of you:
A piece of my hear beats in you everytime you think of me
My breath fades away every time you grieve
My soul heaves a sigh everytime a smile crosses your coast and
Everyday when I close my eyes to sleep,my dreams inch a step closer to you
I want the rain to stay:
I want the rain to stay so you can sweep the clouds and trace my name
I want the rain to stay so I can soak my heart and strum unwrapping a melody
I want the rain to stay so we can live once again under the tendril drops of a falling rain
These Poems are very relatable and will take the reader to realm of her own reflections
This book is a treasure that you can keep it at some place you can see and randomly check a page and go deep within. As the author says it takes you to the stillness within you.Every time you read you feel it like freshness of a fragrance of a flower and tender and warm feeling of a light breeze
Thank you for this tender, gentle and incredible work@brazenwings

5.0 out of 5 stars I want the rain to stay
The writing was captivating. It was written with human fragility and is well crafted. I especially like the part where she describes a place as a movie.
amazing book; do give it a read. It has a unique perspective.

4.0 out of 5 stars I found solace in these pages
I was a part of this book's publishing team. I was lucky enough to witness the amount of love and care the writer put into this book, whether it was the multiple drafts and designs she considered for the book cover or the attention to detail regarding even the fonts and layout of each page.
Sometimes we read poetry to find the words or lines we are unable to form in our own lives. In that aspect, 'Closed Call' and 'Last Kiss' were just what I wanted to read today. The last stanza of the poem 'I want the rain to stay' and the beginning four lines of the poem 'Rare' stood out for me for it's poetic language and sensibility.
I would love to read more short stories from the writer.

5.0 out of 5 stars I want the emotions to Stay
Swetha is always busy and hungry and eager to experience life to the fullest. I can’t recall a day when is she isn’t busy mastering a new skill, or signing up for a workshop or volunteering on weekends or tending to her succulent garden and if nothing else on hand to do, going for long walks. And life and nature in turn are channelling their wisdom through her, which is quite evident in these soul touching poems.
All the poems are a delight to read and suddenly you would stumble upon a poem that touches a chord with you. That’s ‘voices’ for me! It perfectly mirrored the perpetual loop of soundless chatter in my mind. “Waves of Incessant thoughts, diligently digging the past…”
All the poems are a delight to read and once in a while you come across few thought provoking lines which will linger in your thoughts, such as "If her dreams were thicker, than the sieve I am holding, or if my steps were heavier, with my heart unfolding” in ‘city lights’
All the poems are a delight to read and then every now and then you stare at emotion laced phrases which are startlingly impactful, stop you in your tracks and leave you in wonder and awe, like "For who is it my thoughts race, and why is it my heart aches" in ‘quite chaos’
I wish each of you enjoy reading all the poems and find that one piece that echoes with your core and cherish reading them again and again.
On a rainy night, to soak your mind in the myriad of emotions
On a springy evening, to fill your soul with peace and content
On a scorching day, to swing you with its thought provoking lines
On an autumn dusk, to take you through a ride across nostalgic times

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing and soothing!!
The first thing I felt after reading the book was, it takes so much of attention and focus by the author to articulate feelings and emotions in a poetic and rhythmic style. Swetha Pujari has done a marvelous job making the reader indulge into her fantasy world and effortlessly captivating a person to take a stroll into her worldly experiences. If you are a nature lover and loves to cherish small moments of daily life- this is a go to book for sure.
“I want the rain to Stay” is something you will not find too often in bookshelves. Personally for me, this book has given some memories I could connect of. I wish the author all the best and wish to see more brilliant work soon :)
