I Knead You Tonight: Enemies-to-Lovers Romcom (Slice) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 1,167 ratings

I hate Drew Woods, and she hates me.

I'm a cold jerk half the time, and she's way too mouthy and prying.

But when Drew's down on her luck, I have no problem moving the single mom and her baby into my place...until her sarcastic barbs and curves become something I can't ignore.

Giving in to the temptation would be painful for both of us, and I'm already living in agony.

But I've never been one to follow the rules...

I Knead You Tonight is a sassy, standalone single mom/enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy that's sure to make you laugh and swoon.

Fun, sweet and sexy hate to love romance!
I enjoyed Winston and Drew’s hate to love story in I Knead You Tonight. Emphasis on hate, because dang these two DID NOT like each other in the beginning. It’s been a while since I read a book with this much antagonistic behavior between the two main characters. But even as they were having a go at each other — and I don’t mean in a sexy way — there was undeniable chemistry between them. I knew it was going to get good (and hot) when everything finally exploded. I wasn't wrong. I've got to admit, I was a little unsure about Winston because quite frankly, he was a dick to Drew at times. But, he totally won me over and it really only took a few chapters. He was quite sweet under that prickly exterior. He was dealing with a lot and probably not doing it in the best way. Drew was good for him. Winston's time with Drew (and her son, Riley) helped him grow up. On the other hand, I adored Drew from the very beginning. She definitely didn't have the easiest life, being a single mom trying to support a baby, but she was driven and had a good heart. Winston's comments to her hurt MY feelings at times, with some of it bordering on bully romance. I'm just glad that didn't go on very long. My feelings about this book would've been very different if it had. But thankfully, it was resolved relatively quickly. Drew and Winston ended up being a really good match. Once they let go of all the nasty banter anyhow. They brought out the best in each other. I Knead You Tonight was funny, sweet and sexy. I've enjoyed what I've read in the Slice Series. (Side note: Teagan Hunter has THE BEST punny book titles. I'm obsessed.) The characters in this series are so fun and quirky. I hope to see more of them soon!

After meeting Drew and Winston in A Pizza My Heart, I eagerly awaited their story. These two are outrageous together and mix as well as fire and oil. But all of their mutual supposed hatred and sniping only serves to build the tension between them, turning up the heat, and it provides for one glorious, wild ride!

Drew Woods has her hands full as a single mother, and her stubborn independence precludes her from accepting help from friends, even when it's offered. So it's really no great surprise when her best friend's brother, Winston, takes matters into his own hands when Drew’s car breaks down.

Winston is a bit of a conundrum. He comes across as a laid back, irresponsible, ne'er-do-well, but this guy has layers. It's delightful entertainment to watch Drew peel back those layers while Winston pushes Drew’s buttons and gets under her skin. Drew does her own amount of pushing and all of it serves to make them both better people. When they realize that all that hatred is just the flip side of the love coin, well let's just say that the shock of that realization and the ensuing fear can cause people to behave unpredictably.

Clever and fun, humorous and heartfelt, this is romantic comedy at its best. Be prepared to laugh out loud, fall in love and have your heart squeezed in the best of ways. Don’t pass up the chance to visit a quaint beachside community, get introduced to the craziest pizza toppings you'll ever come across, and meet these amazing characters that will abscond with your heart. This book is an easy, quick, fun read about two people who have known each other for years and aren’t quite friends nor enemies. The heroine needs help, the hero takes charge (because he’s been pining for her for years) and they build something through this change. The ending seemed rushed, but for me the books wrote by this author seems to do this. At least she wraps things up though, no cliffhangers (for those of you, like me, who detest cliffhangers). The characters in this book of the series weren’t nearly as sassy as the characters in the other book, but still a fun, short read.

‘I Knead You Tonight’ is such an amazing addition to the Slice Series. This book centers around Winston and Drew, both of whom we met in ‘A Pizza My Heart’. Drew is a single mother who works her butt off to provide for herself and her child, however it seems like life just keeps trying to knock her down. To her Winston is a lazy stoner with no ambition or drive. When Winston moves Drew and her son into his house to help them out, both of them learn there is more to the other than meets the eye. They are quick to hate, but people always say there is a fine line between love and hate, and Drew and Winston are walking a tight rope between the two.

This book gave me all the feels, and proved once again why Teagan Hunter is one of my go to authors. The quick wit and the banter between all of the characters had my laughing out loud throughout this book. I also really loved that we got more background on Winston, he intrigued me so much in the first book, that I was stoked when I found out he was one of the main characters in this book. Watching Drew and Winston fall in love was so amazing to read, and it was so organic. I didn’t feel like anything was forced, it was all just super sweet and easily relatable. I hope this series continues because I know I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters yet!

Teagan is one of my all time favorite authors, and this is the couple I was most excited about when she introduced her new series!

Drew is a single mom who is seriously down on her luck. When the father of her son bailed as soon as the stick turned blue, she has been trying her hardest to support herself and her baby boy, but life keeps kicking her while shes already down for the count. Until she finds help in the most surprising person: her best friends brother, Winston.

Winston is a complicated character, and even though he gives off the vibe of being a lazy stoner, there is so much more to him than meets the eye. He's always felt more for Drew than he's let on, but because he feels like he's not good enough for her, he pushes her away at every turn.. until it becomes impossible for him to shut her out.

This is one of my all time favorite couples that this author has created, and seeing Winston really turn into the man he always wanted to be, while falling in love with both Drew and her son was so heartwarming. Even though I wanted to shake the man at times, I loved every flawed part of him!

Teagan is an automatic one click author for me, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

    I'm loving this series!
This book is fun, unique and sweet! It's a quick and easy read, mid to low levels of angst. Lots of funny moments.
The reason I gave it a 4 star is that Winston (don't love that name) acts like a serious jerk on several occasions and I just wish he'd been nicer. I also wish we saw more bonding between Winston and the baby!

When I first was introduced to Winston in the first book I absolutely thought he was going to be one of those bum brothers who was always so annoying it was ridiculous. But upon reading this book Winston has won over my heart. He shows his Alpha male protectiveness over Drew from the very first couple of pages and I was hooked on him from then on. I loved how their attraction to each other was so deeply hidden but yet so openly out there, and their witty, sexual banter was just hilarious and oh so steamy at the same time. Throw in that Drew has a baby by another man who wanted nothing to do with her once the two pink lines showed, I loved how strong she was in keeping the baby and working her rear off to provide for her son.
This book will make you laugh, blush, and swoon and it's just perfect. Teagan Hunter is one of the few indie authors I really follow and read and I absolutely love her writing.

Drew and Winston hate each other. Or do they? They both work at Slice, the family pizzeria. Drew being Wren's best friend and Winston being her brother keeps throwing them together time and time again. Then Winston "saves" Drew, and life takes off in a completely new direction. Very emotional topics at times, as both main characters went through some extreme hardship at some point in their life.

I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. I fell in love with this author during her Texting series, and the Slice series is turning out to be as wonderful. It's funny, the characters have depth, it leaves me wanting more. I need Sully's story!! I love books that can make me laugh and cry and Teagan delivers. This book was fantastic.

This one had my two favourite tropes single parent/enemies to lovers and it was way more amazing than I could have imagined. Winston and Drew have all the snark and sass and their banter is so fantastic. I can’t wait to re-read this one. Teagan has become an absolute must read one click author for me.
