A bachelor party on a cruise ship. What could go wrong?
When private detective Francie is hired to spy on a groom-to-be as he and his bachelor party set sail for the Caribbean, she thinks she's landed herself a week of paid vacation. Between lounging in the sun and sipping margaritas, she just needs to--best case scenario--report back that he's on the up and up,or--the unfortunate, more likely scenario--snap a few photos of her target in compromising positions, buy a box of sympathy chocolates for her client, and then collect her pay along with a nice golden suntan.
Blame it on the island breezes or the alcohol, but within hours of setting sail, Francie's leisurely vacation gets complicated when she starts making careless mistakes. Like accidentally becoming friends with the groom and falling for his best man.
Can she get herself and her mission back on track, or has she blown her cover and possibly even her career?
If you love romantic comedies by authors like Sophie Kinsella, Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner, and Helen Fielding, you'll adore this sweet, quirky novella!

Praise for Run Away Baby:
I thought Run Away Baby was an amazing book, it captured my attention immediately. I felt I was sitting in front of any of my clients over the years hearing her story. Holly Tierney-Bedord captured the true nature of power and control brilliantly. She showed that it doesn't just happen to poor or disabled women. Most importantly, she showed how easy it is to want to ignore your intuition when someone offers you away out, often leading women into another abusive relationship. She has a fan! Can't wait to read the rest of her books.

In a life of abuse and isolation, escape can seem impossible. In Run Away Baby, Abby finds her hero in a most unexpected place...the mirror.
-- Tracey Osborne, Daring Woman ~ daringwomaninc.com
(In Run Away Baby, Holly Tierney-Bedord)..."illustrated well how domestic abuse (physical, mental and emotional) cuts across all economic classes and how truly challenging it is for these women to escape their abuser."
-- Jane, JLWOS
This book was unpredictable. ...This was a great thriller and a very fast-paced read. The premise of the book was fascinating. I would recommend it!
-- Elizabeth of Chick Lit Chickadees
I have to congratulate Holly for being brave enough to cover the theme of domestic violence within this story.Holly has portrayed a very realistic relationship between the characters with compassion and accuracy.
This is one of those books that I am praying becomes a movie because I would definitely go to watch it. Abby is a likeable and I felt invested in her from the very beginning. Although she is a trophy wife, she remains genuine and humble throughout.
Although the scene of violence made me uncomfortable, the reader instantly becomes aware of the need for Abby to be away from the situation. Holly has done a superb job of integrating this scene delicately but also in a way that makes it realistic.

"Just as you settle into the quiet, wrenching character study, you bank sharply into your first twist, then a turn - as secrets from the past zoom into suspenseful danger in the present. The twists keep turning until the very last chapter, making the read both satisfying and chilling! I cannot recommend Surviving Valencia highly enough."
--Geralyn Corcillo, author of Queen of the Universe

- Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019Summer brings on thoughts of vacations and lighter reads. This is one of a collection of books, written by various authors, set on a cruise ship, the Oceanic Aphrodite. It reads well as a stand alone and can be read easily enough in one sitting or lounging.
While Francie's assignment is to keep tabs on a certain groom-to-be, this cruise is designed for singles. As her own thirty-second birthday looms, Francie begins to question her own relationship status. She attempts to remain professional and blend into the background, a tactic that was never difficult before. This time, however, she finds herself closer than she could ever imagine. As a result, all aspects of her life choices come into question.
When a P.I. is hired, where do your sympathies lie, with the person accused of doing someone wrong or with the client doing the accusing? Francie gets all sorts of information on the subject and his friends, but begins to learn more about the woman who hired her. As the reader learns more, your sympathies may redirect. It is difficult in a short novel to build depth and show growth in characters but Author Holly Tierney-Bedord does a great job of making this a character driven story. Even secondary characters, such as an elderly brother and sister, show fun personalities.
It was difficult to feel too bad for Francie's own alleged fiance but in case you do, the author takes care of that as well. In the end I got a feeling that everyone has the potential for happily ever after, just not as in the original plan.

REVIEW: I enjoyed this novella, but I want more. This novella is a fun, clean Rom-Com about a Groom and his Groomsmen going on a ‘Single’s Cruise’ to celebrate the bachelor’s party. Francie is hired by the bride-to-be to try and catch her intended being dishonorable. Add in a Rockstar who has the same first name and similar features into the mix and mass confusion occurs, not to mention Francie falling for one of the Groomsmen, making what should have been an easy ‘working paid vacation’ not so easy.
It’s a perfect LUNCHTIME READ and a definite RECOMMENDED READ!

- Reviewed in the United States on August 2, 2019This book is book five in the Oceanic Dreams series. Most of the storyline is set in a week long mostly singles cruise. The main character is a private detective. Her client pays for her to go on a cruise to investigate and provide proof of infidelity. This cruise turns the character's life upside down as she goes through a lot of personal growth and development. Some sweet romantic moments but no sexy heat in this story. For a light vacation type read it works fine.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2019This was one of my rare DNFs. I couldn't like the goofiness of the plot's development or the goofy main character. The humor, though occasionally witty, is mostly just silly & too often cringeworthy. And I have a low cringe tolerance.
*Clean romance level: I only made it about half way thru, but this series is supposed to be "sweet" romances, meaning intimacy can happen but we get to enjoy the romance without the graphic details
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2019Even though this novella is part of the Oceanic Dreams series, I believe it is a stand alone as previous books are written by different authors so really doesn’t matter if you start with this one or any of them in actual fact.
What better setting than on a cruise ship! I’ve got to admit I’ve never been on one but it sure sounds fun. Then again neither has the protagonist in the story, in fact she’s never travelled abroad or anywhere that far from home!
I had to feel sorry for Francie. Even though she is self employed working as a private detective, her new client is one from hell. Never giving her a moments peace with numerous texts and phone calls every day. Some jobs just really arn’t worth the money.
I won’t go to much into the story but it is very much a light hearted read with fun and frolicks galore with a splash of romance added in. I pretty much devoured it in one sitting with the short chapters and engaging story line. I Will Follow Him is definitely one to add to your holiday pile or any time pile as it is a relatively quick and easy read and an enjoyable one at that.
My thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2019Francine Meddling is a private detective, following in her father's footsteps. She accepts an assignment that leads her to the Oceanic, love boat. Little did she know that she was going to be bit. Also the person she is working for is neurotic. I was laughing at some of the antics. I love the name the author came up for her boyfriend. Truth has a way of coming out because love demands it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really entertaining holiday read
From the moment I discovered this series existed I knew I had to read them, and in fact pre-ordered all of the books - after all I love books with exotic locations, and I love cruising, so what could be better than romantic comedies set on a cruise ship.
I Will Follow Him despite being the fifth book, is the first one I have sat down to read, and i have thoroughly enjoyed it. It can easily be read as a standalone, as each book is written by a different author, with just the theme in common, as far as I can tell.
This is ideal for either holiday reading, getting yourself into the holiday mood, or generally when you want to read an amusing novella, that features a Caribbean cruise.
It's a really quick book to read, took me about an hour, and i was enjoying every moment of it. There isn't a great deal of depth, but given its a novella, and a light hearted one at that, it does exactly what the gorgeous cover promises, and gives an enjoyable story, some smiles and generally left me grinning.
Francie is a likeable character who is a private investigator and potentially against her better judgement takes on a job to spy on a fiancee, on his bachelor parry, which just happens to be a week long cruise. The bride is convinced that he is going to cheat or why else would he be going away.
Danielle, the bride comes across as ridiculous neurotic, who appears to be addicted to texting and with an unstable personality. I loved the group of bachelors though, and everything that happens on this cruise.
I could easily have envisioned myself on the Oceanic Aphrodite, I recognise the itinerary, I've done part of it myself, and the ship felt really familiar to the sorts of ships I've been on. Would have loved to have been on board myself.
Overall a highly enjoyable book, that hit all the right notes for me with this sort of book. And I can't wait to read the other 7 Oceanic Dreams books.

4.0 out of 5 stars a quick read that will put a smile on your face
I Will Follow Him is the fifth book in the Oceanic Dreams series. This one is written by Holly Tierney-Bedord and sees Francie Meddling aboard the Oceanic Aphrodite after being employed by Danielle Payne to follow her fiancé Evan whilst he enjoys his stag do. After trying and failing to remain in the background she finds herself suddenly in the middle of the group. From there on she finds her task harder and harder as she spends more time with one of the friends of the person she is “spying on”.
I have to say I like Francie. She has spent so much of her time from childhood to her current job just trying to stay in the background that she thinks that she doesn’t really have anything to offer anyone. Her boyfriend spends very little time with her, and they communicate mostly by email or text. You have to wonder how she has managed to stay in business as a private investigator if her current case is anything to go by and you do get the feeling that her heart really isn’t in it. Danielle was the client from hell, and I spent most of my time hoping that either Francie would find evidence of Evan being unfaithful or she would tell her to just do one and find a way to pay back the money. She is the sort of person who has never been told no and expects everyone to fall in line with her, even the man she supposedly loves.
This is another great quick read that can be read either as part of the series or on its own. Either way you will enjoy it and finish it with a smile on your face.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good helping of light-hearted fun and humour.
I Will Follow Him is the fifth book in the Oceanic Dreams series, each of which is a standalone story written by a different author. This was the first book I’ve read in the series and my first Holly Tierney-Bedford read, and I really enjoyed it!
Devoured in one sitting, the story has a good helping of light-hearted fun and humour. The characters (except for the two the author intends you to be sceptical of) are all likeable – especially the group of bachelors. And while the heroine, Francie, has questionable credentials as a private detective, you can’t help but smile when her mission goes a little awry, and she seizes the opportunity to have some fun.
If you are looking for a book to get you in a holiday mood, joining Francie as she sets sail on the Oceanic Aphrodite, is sure to do the job!
