Holly lives in a little white cottage by the sea. She studied media at university which led to a very glitzy career as a hotel receptionist followed by a even more glamorous two years working in a bank. The moment that one of her colleagues received the much coveted carriage clock for fifteen years’ service was the moment when she knew she had to escape. She quit her job and returned to university to train to be a teacher. Three years later, she emerged wide eyed and terrified that she now had responsibility for the development of thirty young minds. She taught for four years and then escaped the classroom to teach history workshops, dressing up as a Viking one day and an Egyptian High Priestess the next. But the long journeys around the UK and many hours sat on the M25 gave her a lot of time to plan out her stories and she now writes full time, doing what she loves.

Holly has been writing for 8 years. She was shortlisted for the New Talent Award at the Festival of Romance. Her short story won the Sunlounger competition and was published in the Sunlounger anthology. She won the Carina Valentine’s competition at the Festival of Romance with her novel The Guestbook. She was shortlisted for Best Romantic Read, Best eBook and Innovation in Romantic Fiction at the Festival of Romance. She is the bestselling author of 26 books selling over a million books worldwide.     It was interesting to become reacquainted with the people of Emerald Cove. It was great to find out how all of the main characters had a connection. There was a little intrigue involved. It was the way it all wrapped up, in the end.

    Once again Holly Martin has enchanted me with her writing. I was swept away to the other side of the world, into a quaint little village, where I visited old friends and delved into the relationship that was Jesse & Skye.

    And what an interesting relationship it was! Two people that had been hurt in the past miscommunicated and misconstrued events that lead them to a place where, while they were happy to be in each other's company, they were mostly unbearably miserable. Both parties were at fault here, and I wanted to smack them both upside of the head for not sorting things out sooner! The angst was strong in this one and I relished every second of it!

    It was great to get to know Bea and to delve into Sylvia's past too (she had been a bit of a mystery in the past two books). I love the close-knit group from Jewel Island, and while this can be read as a standalone novel, I highly recommend reading the series in order so that you can better connect with all of the wonderful characters.

    While this was an emotional journey for Skye and Jesse there were plenty of light-hearted moments and steamy sexy times to balance everything out perfectly. Another fantastic story from one of my favourite writers!

    There is just something about Holly Martin's writing I can't get enough of. Her characters feel like people you know and could be friends with and I love the charming small town settings.

    Throughout the Jewel Island series, Skye has been a secondary character and there have been references here and there to her relationship with Jesse. It made me very curious to see how they might be able to have a second chance together, and this book did not disappoint!

    Things are not easy or simple as they navigate moving forward from previous issues, living in two different countries, and if they can build something new and lasting. There is a lot of chemistry between Skye and Jesse, and I thought the story and relationship both developed at a nice pace. I also enjoyed getting to see favorite characters from previous books in the series.

    This book is an enjoyable read with an engaging story and I cannot recommend it enough!

    After reading the first two stories in this series, I was crossing my fingers this one would live up to the very high standard they set. If anything, it was even better! I got to know more about the people in the first two, how they moved on to new chapters and enjoyed the rocky romance of the third sister. There are interesting quirky village people, lovely descriptions of a wonderful place to live, and so seamless a story, it was hard to set the book down long enough to enjoy my own happy story! You will enjoy this very much!

    This is the third book in the Jewel Island Series, I love Holly Martin and have read all of her books, they are lovely light reading, Ideal for relaxing when you have had a heavy working week, I look forward to the 4th book in the series. What I like about Holly's books is that there is no swearing, no torrid sex scenes and they give you a good laugh but at the same time you find yourself with tears in your eyes in some parts of her books

    I love Holly Martin books and this was a fantastic read which did not let me down. I read until the early hours of the morning and then felt sad it was finished. It is the third in a series set on Jewel Island (although it is an excellent stand alone read too) and centre's around Skye - her love life, her business , her family (her other two sisters are the focus of book one and two) her past and so much more. There are a few surprises along the way and the love story (which is very much a will they won't they) is told beautifully.
