Shy teacher's assistant, Maud, has a sensible job, clothes, love life… and an overbearing ex who can't seem to move on. Being persuaded by a friend to enter an art competition, she's shocked to win an invite to a prestigious art event with super-sexy, reclusive artist, Nate! After tripping over and falling into his arms, the last thing either of them want is the instant attraction they feel.
Nate’s sister, Dot, should fit in with her flamboyant and slightly eccentric family of talented artists, but somehow, she is an anomaly who can’t paint. She tries to be part of their world by becoming an art agent extraordinaire, but dreams of finding her own voice.
Smoulderingly sexy, Nate, is adored by everyone. Women worship him, but a tragic event in his past has left him emotionally and physically scarred, and reluctant to face the world again... until a captivating stranger lands in his arms.
Someone is leaving exquisite little paintings on park benches, with a tag saying, ‘If you love me, I’m yours’. The art is so fresh and cutting-edge, that it generates a media frenzy and a scramble to discover the identity of the mystery artist. Review
I honestly didn't think Ninja School Mum, by the same author, could be beaten. Yet this story has layers and depths that make the book completely unputdownable. If you enjoy romantic novels with enjoyable and relatable characters you will LOVE this book. I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. And now I'm going to reread it all over again. Lizzie Chantree is fast becoming one of my favourite authors.'

- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2019A sweet story. I loved the theme of the notes saying, "If you love me, I'm yours." I won't say what they belong to, so as not to give away the story, but it was clever. There were certain things the characters said that made me laugh out loud. Good chemistry among characters. I like having the additional point of view told by the artistic sister. She's probably my favorite character. Sassy and says what she wants. My one complaint is that I would have liked to have seen more of the scenes acted out, rather than having them summarized for us the day or days after they took place. It made it less personal that way. But overall, I enjoyed this story.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2020I started out loving this book. It’s an interesting story about a young women who, despite her mother’s constant demeaning, decides to pursue a possible career as an artist. She becomes involved with a well-known artistic family who encourage her pursuit. I really like the premise of the story and found the setting interesting.
The characters, too, were quite interesting in the beginning. However, by the end of the book, they had become less so. It felt like the last part of the book was rushed, and the character development was less focused. Unfortunately, I began to lose interest in them and their story. I would probably give this author another chance, though, as this story started out with so much potential.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 5, 2018Fell in love on page ONE!!
The characters are well developed and quirky as all get out. I enjoyed getting to know them! (I wish they were my friends!)
Loved the art and culture. Bemoaned - along with the characters themselves - the family relationships. Why does it have to be so difficult to be understood!? This will be relatable no matter how "normal" or "weird" you think you are, or your family thinks you are, haha.
Plus, dreamy brooding artist? Yes, please. *swoon*
I read this start to finish on a plane ride, and it was the perfect read to snare my attention and keep it.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2018I liked the characters but there were holes in the story that made me less invested in the relationship between the 2 main characters. The author has the main characters make vague references to the time they spend together, but that is really all there is in terms of the relationship development. I found that I was ambivalent about whether or not they ended up together. So for me, this book was ok but not a page turner.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2018This was a fun and lighthearted story about a girl named Maud stuck in a sensible life. She’s a teacher who loves to paint. Only her best friend Daisy backs her talent, not her sensible parents. This leads Maud to an art gallery opening after Daisy submits her painting. The night changes her life and leads her to a new friendship with Dot and a new love interest. I love the relationship she develops with Dot. It is changing as they both change within it. She also finds herself with two love interests and a few surprises along the way. The book’s title is how Maud expresses her talent by leaving gifts of her work for others to enjoy, which made me smile. It was fun being immersed into the world of art. I recommend this story especially if you like a good love story with friendship and self-growth mixed in--I know I enjoyed it.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 8, 2019If You Love Me, I'm Yours follows several characters: Dot, Maud, Nate, Tom, and Elliot. Dot and Nate are siblings from a family of artists. Unfortunately, Dot struggles to find her own voice in art, and she feels as though she has to try very hard to fit in with her family. This causes her to develop a persona that seemingly "fits" with her family; however, it isn't true to her true self. Similarly, Maud is living the life of a closeted artist. She is a teacher's assistant by day, artist by night. Her parents have never supported her interest in art, so she hides her passion. One day, Maud decides to leave paintings around her small town, as a way to get feedback on her paintings. This secreted passion gains notoriety through the press, piquing Dot's interest. Having met at an art exhibit of her brother, Nate's, art, Dot seeks out Maud to (1) help her identify the mystery artist and (2) find her for her brother, Nate. Due to their similar trials, Dot and Maud become friends. Through their journey of friendship, they each come to find their true selves, while finding love too.
So, I really wanted to love this book. For one, the cover is cute, and I was hooked by its title. The blurb for this book drew me in as it is focused in the world of art, and I've yet to read a romance placed in this type of setting. The problem with this book is the POV changes often between Maud, Nate, and Dot. Even more, there is a tiny part when Elliott has his own space. it makes it a bit confusing for the reader. Even more, we are given every detail of the story, with some of those details being unnecessary to the story. From the time of Tom's betrayal through the revelation of Nate's interest in Maud to the end, there were moments that seemed to prolong the story instead of focusing on the development of Nate and Maud's love and the eventual HEA.
The ending is probably my favorite part; however, getting to that part seemed a bit strange. There are never any true declarations of "love" by Nate or Maud. There is interest for sure, but the ending didn't necessarily fit with the chronology of the story.
If anything, the journey of Dot and Maud and the development of their friendship are the best parts of this story. These are women who have struggled to find their place, their purpose. Both are hiding their true selves. This is the power within the story. I worry that it gets lost at times through the ancillary details. If you like this type of story, women finding themselves and each other, then you will enjoy this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2020I was captivated by this story, from start to finish! Ahhh! The ending was beautiful, I was silent screaming for days! The story of these artists, their transformations, and their loves. I will definitely be reading this book again and recommending it to so many! It was all very well written, and I could relate to Maud! Thank you, Lizzie Chantree! I will for surely be checking out more of her stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favourite book from this author
My new favourite book from this author! I love the premise of this story - an artist leaves paintings on park benches with the tag 'If you love me, I'm yours'. It's these paintings that ultimately draw all the characters together. I particularly enjoyed that this was a story about friendship as much as it was about romance, with the main character forced to navigate issues with an old friend while forming bonds with someone new. Throw in some problems with her parents and a couple of hunky men and you have quite a story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh my, what a wonderfully sublime book; my heart soared.
I stepped outside my normal genre comfort zone of crime thrillers to read this book; it had been recommended to me and I had my eyes and heart opened. I laughed, I cried and had a precious insight into the life of people who on the surface appear, okay.
This is a story of repressed feelings. Yes, it is a love story and on so many fronts, but first and foremost it is about the delicacy of self-esteem. It is real. It is about dreams and nightmares.
The characters are ‘real’; Maud, her artistic flare crushed by domineering parents. Dot, a wonderfully crazy lady, dressing eccentrically because she comes from a famous artistic family – it is what she feels expected to do as she is continually informed she has no talent. Nate, Dot’s brother, a famous artist and reputed rake and, a whole host of players who play parts that appear to be at best benign, supportive, but come with an underlying desire to address their own ego.
I cannot reveal the plot because it is life and you need to live it in this book – I did, and finished feeling both wrung out and wretched and yet, elated, at the same time – I didn’t want it to end.
This is not a roller coaster ride so much as a ghost train of soul searching and I defy anyone not to feel a part of it, the central characters, to recognise something of themselves – I did, and, love it and it is you.
I have bought another book from this author and started reading it immediately – such exceptional writing.
I do not hesitate to recommend this book.
Love it, and it’s yours – 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Emotional. Wonderful. Must Read!
This book had my heart from the beginning. Not only does it have a strong female lead, the book is filled with powerful females who support and love each other. It demonstrates the value of friendship as well as forgiveness. To be a whole person is to find your true passion and have a loving supporting circle to share it with.
The emotions coming out of the book are as if they are alive on the page for you to grab on and feel yourself. It keeps you wanting more.
I think this may be my all time favourite novel by Lizzie Chantree.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very British, very sweet
This was a Stuff Your Kindle find and was overall an enjoyable read. Sometimes it was a bit confusing as the third person writing allowed the author to focus on the thoughts of different characters in the same paragraph. It read like a classic British rom-com movie, with the same sort of humour and tangled story lines. Ultimately it was about two women who had to find the courage to be who they truly were inside, regardless of what their families wanted. It was definitely worth the read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot, sweet and sentimental
It’s hard not to get entwined in the lives of Maud, Nate, Dot and Elliot as they slowly discover what it means to let go of their troubled pasts and embrace an enthralling future filled with new relationships and opportunities. Beautifully written, this little gem of a book balances the overbearing families pushing each character in a certain direction with the gentle nuances of budding artists finding their medium. Quick wit and saucy sequences tantalise every reader’s taste and leave just enough for the imagination. If you love sweet romances, this book is perfect!
