Immortal Conqueror: New World Kindle Edition
An immortal master without purpose finds renewed meaning in the form of an inter-dimensional distress call.
The plea: that he saves the Universe's Core.
The complication: to pass between worlds he must relinquish the power he has amassed and begin his journey to supremacy anew.
Invigorated by the notion of a worthy opponent, Aaron pays the toll and steps through the portal.
On the other side, he finds a medieval world controlled by a game-like system. Holographic panels appear at a mere thought, defining each living being in numbers, determining their classes, and changing their very selves. Conflict, wild beasts, and magical items are commonplace in the local denizens' lives.
In a world where might makes right and morality is fluid at best, the weakened Aaron at first tries to lie low. However, it is soon evident that there is no hiding who he is, what the Everwar forged him into.
The Immortal Conqueror has arrived—and will leave a river of blood in his wake as he once again ascends the path to power.

I always loved games, but as time went on, I started to feel that gaming lacked something. There was too much grinding, weak stories, repetitive mechanics and other annoyances, like the dreaded microtransactions.
I had always loved reading, but eventually the novels I found began to feel stale, they were too cliche to keep me excited to turn the pages.
Then the stars aligned and I found GameLit; it was the perfect blend of my interests, it recaptured the way I had felt when gaming and the fantasy genre. I could follow the story of a character in a world that ran on game rules, whether it be in a parallel universe or full-immersion VR. I could vicariously enjoy all the parts of a game I’d loved, without being subjected to the interminable grind. I was drawn in by the notion of hyperrealistic worlds and NPCs controlled by advanced AIs, where magic required actual understanding to cast and actions had tangible consequences. The genre ticked all the right boxes for me, I’d found a new love.
Yet, the stories were so few, I’d read everything available and still, I wanted to read something nobody had written. So, I started writing myself.
Today, I write full time and am best known as the author of the Unbound Deathlord series.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2024This was genuinely excellent, right until the end. There was no need for any sort of cliffhanger! The MC was largely well done, there was an excellent coterie of characters that opened up several story arcs to explore. That is disregarding the main storyline which has so many paths already! Why? Anyhow, going to hope second book is out soon. Nuff said.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2023I was entertained through the whole book. I liked that the MC was experienced enough to be over powered but was still constrained by some limitations. It was also a nice change of pace to have a character that was already sure of themselves and their moral code. No moral dilemmas or coming of age angst. I mean, like those tropes too, but it is nice to have some variety.
I'll look forward to a second book and hope it gets released soon.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2025I just came back to reread this and once again I find myself disappointed that there isn’t a second book. The world was well thought out and the take on a hero summons was new. I love Aaron, and characters like him so, please continue this story!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 2, 2023I truly don’t understand authors obsession with harem building or with subservient attitudes. I mean how degrading is it to pet someone on there head and act like they are a good dog. It’s annoying anime tropes that delusional folks find appealing. Other than that I like the magic system. Cultivation based systems tend to be boring and have slow progression but this one was half way interesting (and the only reason I give the book 3 stars). General writing and story were also well put together.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2023This adaptation of a eastern cultivation system combined with game lit mechanics was a good read. The MC attitude and behavior is fitting for a being that migrated to a diff realm. I can’t wait til more books come out.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 31, 2023This is a modern western-influenced cultivation novel that has the usual paradoxically weak yet utterly OP protagonist in a desperate situation where he must use his secret advantages to gain power in an impossibly short period.
Reinforces the crapsack trope that cultivation means amoral ruthless power fantasy tyranny but with a decent justification that works well enough to keep the protagonist feeling like a monster we can sympathize with. But still a monster.
The writing was fairly tight and not sloppy or inconsistent like some of the transferred serials from King's Road or other forums. The omniscient 3rd person tight POV moves to different focal characters but not in a jarring way, and it's infrequent so not confusing or tiresome.
There are a few specific new ideas that made me want to continue reading at points where I might otherwise have stopped - and not for lack of interest or disgust, which has happened in too many similar stories.
First, the perspective on the forced isekai summoning of The Hero is not a bad take, and ties into the justification for our protagonist even accepting the summons despite knowing that it will strip away his universe-level Godly levels of power.
Second, the limitations imposed on everything by having a Universal System overlaid on an unwilling universe. (Also the Universe Core as a sort of uber-dungeon-core, which is another odd trope in Western Cultivation fantasy.)
Third, the way the overlaid system screws up the clean functionality of Cultivation (which is given the same levels of unexamined and self-justified irrational acceptance as Capitalism in our own society at least by the protagonist) and yet context is given for why the otherwise intelligent and superficially affable protagonist formed those opinions.
It's not terribly blatant in setting up straw arguments but it does show protagonist bias, and it's not necessarily author bias because the understanding and empathy with other characters is well shown.
Four stars only instead of five because it's in a very specific sub-sub-genre and shows that the author has room to grow.
I intend to read the sequel(s) and I hope that the author will go on with other stories as well.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2024This is a really good book! The premise is that someone at the peak of power must start over in a new setting but retaining all their memories.
They act as a disruptor in almost every situation without regard for tradition or commonly accepted limits.
I found myself highlighting a lot of quotes from the MC.
Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Refreshing!
This is the first novel I've read in a long time that has not been polluted with the ubiquitous sycophancy and apologist rhetoric that so many current authors apparently feel compelled to include. As such, it was a very enjoyable read. Thank you for that!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good twist to the genre
Very entertaining book, I liked the character and the setting. The main character going voluntarily to another universe is a good twist and made his point of view refreshing.
The book does fall into a miriad of common tropes to the genre though, so take that into consideration. Also, Aaron is a bit too much of a bully in my opinion, makes it feel like he is the young rich lord that demands respect everywhere and keeps saying "how dare you?". It fits his character, it's just that it's a bit jarring.

5.0 out of 5 stars much fun
The massively OP MC is well aware of their relative strengths and the complications resulting from the central conceit of the story.
Worth reading if a trifle formulaic at times.

5.0 out of 5 stars Seriously good read
A well written story with great world building and character development.
Love the take on the morally questionable Aaron.
Look forward to seeing how he progresses in his goals

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
In my opinion it was a unique take and very enjoyable to read because he is overpowered almost to the point of being ridiculous but in a fun way that makes go „ ha! As if you could hurt him you weak mortal muhahaha! „ and simultaneously makes him kinda relatable and realistic in a cynical/ hardened way
