About the authors
Lisa began weaving intricate stories inside her head early, but these days her words find themselves bursting forth in the forms of flash fiction, short stories, and novels.
She's a sensory writer and delves into sensitive subjects that will lift your spirit and steal your heart, and conjures worlds of fantasy and post-apocalypse which will ignite your imagination.
Lisa was born and raised in vibrant Brighton, England, and living by the ocean heavily influenced her lyrical and emotional writing. She works with the senses, description, and colour, and her readers will easily visualise the narrative. She draws inspiration from her family, memory, and imagination. After she had her first of three children she and her family moved to Carmarthen, West Wales, a market town also rich in legend and lore.
She loves family time, walking in forests with their dog, watching waves crash on the beach, photography, crystals, art, and last but not least, writing.

Essel Pratt is a purveyor of horror and fantasy, conjuring tales that haunt souls and inspire imagination. As a student of psychology and teller of tales, Essel writes to share the complex nature of his imaginings with the world. His ever-expanding catalog of short stories spans multiple anthologies and collections, ranging from whimsical fantasy to bizarre horror, including everything in between. Dedicated fans have praised his creations, labeling his talents as prolific in substance.
Hailing from Mishawaka, Indiana, his passion for writing began in the early years as his imagination taunted from within, begging for a release. Dabbling in art at first, he found that the stories that pleaded to be told could not be imprisoned by ink and paint alone. His most notable and prevalent accomplishments include Final Reverie, Sharkantula, and the multiple short stories that have garnered a following of their own, such as the adventures of Detective Mansfield.
Inspired by C.S. Lewis, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Harper Lee, William Golding, and many more, Essel doesn't restrain his writings to straight horror, instead exploring the blurred boundaries of horror within its competing genres, mixing the elements into a literary stew.

Nick's life really has been stranger than fiction. He has travelled and worked in Africa, South America and all across Europe. His jobs have included digging ditches, reconstructing ancient monuments, protecting politicians and criminals, and the writer's standard of pumping gas. After gravitating to London, for many years his life included a mix of firearms, fast cars and fistfights. Now settled in rural Northamptonshire, he lives with his decidedly strange dog. Many of his eclectic publishing credits can be found on Amazon or via his intermittently populated writer's blog, 'Tales from a Tightrope'. He is definitely not working on a novel.
Sara Daniell’s story started in the quiet little town of Cedarburg, Wisconsin until her dad’s job transferred him to Arkansas. She thought life would officially be over with that move, but to her surprise, Arkansas is where she found love, married her best friend and had her two amazing daughters and son.
For years, Sara was a closet writer. Something most knew nothing about because she felt like she’d be looked down upon since most weren’t accepting of writing about fantasy worlds and magic. It wasn’t until her best friend and husband told her she needed to pursue what made her happy and to hide that for no one. So, with a deep breath and a beat up laptop, she did it.
Sara has made many close friends in the writing business and says it feels like a family more than anything else. She says she feels more confident in herself for pursuing what she loves and not letting the limited perceptions of others’ define who she is. She’s a go getter, a dream chaser, and if that makes her crazy, that’s fine with her.
I have always loved reading. In middle and high school, I could be found with my nose in a book between classes while others were flirting and primping. In a small way, I hated to turn 16 because it meant I could drive to school and didn't have the extra hour in the morning to read a few extra chapters. I love paperbacks. Hardbacks, not so much. They are heavy and cumbersome and come with dust jackets, which I loath. I adore my Kindle. I love the ease of buying books and the secrecy I can enjoy them in. No more bright pink or swarthy man-laden covers being seen and judged by cashiers for this gal! I quit reading for fun in college; there was just too much to do. It was a hard time after graduation-in a new city with no friends and a first husband who didn't like me very much. One day I went into a used bookstore and tripped over a display of the Dark Series by Christine Feehan. I bought each one as they came out. Because of that, if I had to pick a favorite genre it would be paranormal romance. I do read tons of other stuff. I like action and adventure, and choose paranormal, fantasy or sci-fi over everything else. If a book only has romance without all the running and chasing and fighting of vamps or dragons or cyborgs, then I'll probably pass. I am now married to a kind, artistic, highly intelligent man, who looks like a nerdy biker. He rocks the sideburns and forearm tattoo better than anyone I've ever seen. Eric's paperback collection is one of the main reasons I married him. He had a massive amount lining the walls of his bedroom (how sexy is that!) and I knew I had to have them-and him-as my own. Eric is the reason I have time, and the inspiration, to write. We have a genius daughter, Gwendolyn Ygraine, who has energy of four children and may take over the world one day. I love to play card and board games and I am a sore loser- the worst. I was born and raised in East Texas and I have lived as far from home as Austin, Texas where I earned a BFA from UT in Acting with a History Minor.

Michael was born the youngest of 7 children in a home where money was always in short supply, but love never was. - Reviewed in the United States on October 4, 2014Because sometimes its okay to judge by the cover.
That is exactly what I took from this one. When I looked at the cover image I knew it had to be great inside and I was not let down one bit. This is an anthology of short stories centered around the title, which left broad scope for what creepy could possibly mean. It was a real eye opener to see exactly where the authors went with it. What is creepy ranged from the natural (lets use that term loosely) human kind of creepy, to the supernatural kind of creepy, to the traditional Halloween kind of creepy, and on to the fantasy monster kind of creepy. I really loved where each writer went with it, and how I was wandering about the house bumping into things in the night because I didn't want to put it down. so I suppose I should say thanks for the great stories and thanks making a creep out of me
If you are reading this review and I could make any kind of recommendation I would say use the look inside feature, check out the first few stories and give it a go. you will be very happy that you did. I know I was

For the most part, I loved all of them. There were a couple I couldn't get through, but the great thing about flash fiction is that I just skipped them and went to the next.
For a spooky Halloween feel, this is a great read. I was a bit creeped out at night.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 4, 2014Creepy and interesting...what a collection!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 21, 2014Horror isn't always my thing, but I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
The stories vary, which is really nice because there's something for everyone (Don't like zombies? That's okay...there's a 50 shades of weird with a little old lady that will make you shiver).
I enjoyed the stories, so three stars is actually pretty awesome from me. I will say, personally, I would have like to see some of these authors have an editor go over their work...or maybe like a story editor. They weren't always the strongest and there were several trope and cliche moments that could have been avoided.
I'm probably just being a snob.
Seriously, if you enjoy horror and are looking for a fun Halloween read check these guys out, and read it with the lights on!

I couldn't put the book down. Wonderful collection of "Creepy"
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2014The first thing that grabbed me about this book was the cover. I find it super creepy and I couldn't wait to see if the stories were as good as the cover. I wasn't disappointed. There were a few stories that didn't really do much for me, but for the most part I was very pleased with this book. I read several of the stories out loud to my 13 year old son and he commented, more than once, how "messed up" a story was. In case you were wondering, that means he really liked it. ;-) Most of the stories can be read in under 10 minutes, which makes this a great book to pick up when you don't have much time to dedicate to reading.
A few of my favorite stories were:
The Loop -by A. D. Trosper,
Ghoul's Night Out -by J. Whitworth Hazzard,
Closet Door -by Ryan T. Nuhfer,
The Face of Evil -by Kevin G. Bufton,
and
Now You See Them -by Kayleigh Edwards

5.0 out of 5 stars Be afraid as in creeps the night of fear.
Format: HardcoverVerified PurchaseWorth 5 stars for the book cover alone.Brilliant art work. The stories themselves are unusual creepy, menacing with just the right amount of twisty ending.I give no spoilers to any of the tales, other reviewers may be inclined to do so,I will just say I will never look at a pumpkin in the same way again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent collection of stories
A wonderfully varied mix of tales from this collection of authors. It was interesting to see how each writer interpreted the ‘creepy’ theme. Some tales were chilling while others leaned more towards horror and gore. Well worth a read, but you might want to leave the light on!
