In Death Together (The Undead Detective Agency Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.6 out of 5 stars 494 ratings

You’ve returned... good! Octavius Evander here, your lovable vampire detective. So, where we ended things last time, everything had gone horribly wrong. What can really be said, besides that change is a fact of life, and unlife. Turney, my love, my heart—unfortunately, he has much change to deal with. No matter, we will all get through it together! Some of us will be getting through it together, much closer than we ever expected, if you know what I mean.

But, enough about that. On to the cases! We will have a new one come up, one with love and questionable family relationships, and even a murder! We don’t get to witness the murder, but we can’t always get what we want. Either way, it’s going to be fun.

Lastly, I suppose there is also the old case looming over us. The 'pain in the ass' case. Prepare yourselves for pain, blood, betrayal, glitter, and devastation. No, hint’s as to whose…but remember, this is a love story. Stop worrying, you silly humans. It will be fine.

CONTENT WARNING: This is an M/M paranormal romance book, with a little F/F on the side. There will be blood, violence, gore, mention of SA (no on-page details), and death. Please do not read if you find any of the previous situations triggering.

This was another fun, action packed addition to the series! Turney is learning how to be a zombie and function in the real world with humans.
Lots and lots of stuff going on. It was a real pleasure to read. I loved it! Highly Recommended

At this point I love the crew though I still hate that it isn't always clearly stated who's POV everything is in. The time line is a little confusing. **spoiler alert** if Turney dies in Friday the 13th of October how is it october 12th after the raid? There is also at least one chapter which is titled from the wrong characters perspective so it can be a bit confusing but I am in for the long haul on the story!

I have been anxiously waiting for In Death Together since I finished book 2, Keep It Together, which left me with a broken heart. However this book made up for it...omg...so many discoveries, twists and turns...it's so hard to write a review without giving any spoilers and do it justice.
The action and suspense continues with Octavius fighting an old enemy, and now with even more vengeance. Turney is adjusting to a whole new way of life. But Octavius and the gang are by his side every step of the way. Octavius (much to Scarlett's dismay) is up to his hilarious antics. And after his huge painful experience, he deserves to have fun. Turney and Octavius's relationship continues to grow, becoming even stronger with what they experienced.
And this book also gives us a little more on the loveable secondary characters, some good and some not so good. Cormac is dealt with a shocking betrayal that will take time to heal. Scarlett realizes that maybe she doesn't have to be so rigid, and give life another chance. As always, the bad is perfectly balanced with humor and does not overwhelm the reader.
Just when I think the world building and characters cannot get better, Shelby Rhodes proves me wrong. They keep getting better and better with each book making me fall more in love with them. I cannot wait for the next book and see justice served and Octavius finally get his revenge (I hope, lol). Also, want to see certain characters find their HEA.

I loved In Death Together by Shelby Rhodes. It's the third book in The Undead Detective Agency series. I loved the continuation of Octavius and Turney’s adventures and the rest of the agency. I loved how Turney is adjusting to his new life, and I love Octavius's obsession with glitter and how he makes a scrapbook of each of their cases. I can't wait to read the next book in the series!

I swear this series has led me on an emotional Rollercoaster that I don't ever want to end. Though now I'm off to the final book in the series.

This series is so much fun! A sugar addicted, hyperative, glitter obsessed vampire, his newly made zombie boyfriend, his best friend zombie, a witch extraordinaire, a vamp assistant, the wolf who wants him, and an adorable cat. They are back! This story is full of humor, zany antics, sexy times, and danger. Ooh, did I mention Pixie Sticks? This book does have its serious side. But the verbal banter keeps the mood light. You will never look at glitter the same way again. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did. Please, take the time to read the previous books in order. Time. Well. Spent.

I couldn't put it down!! From the cliffhanger ending of the previous book to all the twists, turns, betrayals and changes these characters have me hooked!!
I love Turney and Octavios and their growing found family! There is heartbreak and sadness as well as hope and new love. The overarching storyline is still continuing but less chaotic than the previous cliffhanger. I can't wait to see what Shelby will do with these characters next!!
While this is a continuing series I highly recommend every adventure!!!

I love Turney & Octavius who are so good together and along with the other characters make for an outstanding & fun but effective investigators. Book 3 takes us on another murder solving adventure as well as seeking out the monster that is Dayan. The characters all continue to evolve & grow with each book learning more about themselves and each other and how they all fit together. I look forward to book 4 and hopefully Dayans downfall, however I hope it isn't the last book for these characters as they are some of my favourites.

The story starts off where book two ended. One of my favourite scenes is bat with pom poms. I think these books would make an excellent anime. We have a new interesting case and the main story evolving. No major cliff hanger this time and a happy for now ending. Can't wait for the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars All the stars for this amazing next instalment!!!

I’ll admit, the cliffhanger on the last book was meaaaan with a capital M but I this book completely made up for it. There isn’t any real cliffhanger in this one. Yes the big bad is still out there but the story ends on a pretty complete note. For now everyone is together and mostly happy and healthy (a certain someone is still really struggling but I think he’ll be okay - also, it’s not Octavius or Turney so the MCs are all safe and happy and snuggled together). I loved the mysteries in this one and the amount of learning we got to do about different paranormals. It’s crazy how much there is to learn but what I love about this series is that you feel like your learning with the characters not in a massive info dump. I don’t want to write too much because there are spoilers galore possible but I will say that I’m really enjoying where the series is going and desperately hope there will be spin offs (there is a certain reaper I desperately want to find his special someone and in time a certain werewolf also deserves to find happiness) in addition to more of our primary MCs (please let there be a book dedicated to a troublesome bat and his wolfy because I am completely shipping those two!).
