    This story is part of the Criminal Delights series. The Criminal Delight series is composed of a bunch of different standalone books which share an overall theme of dark, gritty, twisted love. It’s in My Blood focused specifically on obsession and how it can seep into a person’s psyche and morph them into something unrecognizable from their previous self. Mark, in the start of the book, was an average, middle-age man who was having a difficult time aging. From the beginning, Mark wasn’t a paragon of virtue, but he was a law-abiding man, if a bit self-centered and shallow. The blood transfusions transforms Mark from average and middle-age, to a young and hot stud. The more Mark transforms, the more his darker and twisted desires begin to manifest, and his self-center and narcissistic behavior intensifies. It becomes clear, no matter how hard Mark tries to justify his behavior, that Mark’s only true concern is his own pleasure. It’s like a Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde transformation if Mr. Hyde was sexy, hot beast of a Dom. There was a ton of sex in this book – super hot, kinky, delicious sex. I loved the kinky sex club which hosted many steamy scenes.

    Overall Rating: 4.5 Stars. The characterizations and sex scenes were very well done. The main purpose of the plot seemed to be a way to showcase Mark and his transformation – which was done very well – but I would have liked a little more exploration of the relationship between Mark and Sean. I hope there’s a sequel featuring the two of them.

    I also listened to this book on Audible. The story was just as steamy and delicious. Zachary Zaba did a good job of narrating the story, and I enjoyed listening to the book just as much as I enjoyed reading it the first time.

    It's In My Blood is dark. It's steamy. And it's very, very good. Blood follows Mark, a journalist, who has recently turned 40, wishes he looked and felt younger, which is something pretty much everyone can relate to. Mark gets offered an assignment, where he receives blood transfusions, from a younger male, that are supposed to make him feel younger. After starting the transfusions, Mark starts noticing personality changes, including awakening to some darker desires.
    It's in the Blood was fascinating. Seeing Mark's personality change, and wondering how dark he would go, which gave the book a nice psychological edge and feeling. There are some very steamy sex scenes. Where will Mark's dark desires take him? It's In My Blood does a great job of showing just where Mark's journey goes

    The darkness in this book probably gonna last me a few months . If you are into darkness, kinks and orgies this is for you. I didn't like the excessive steams and kinks included in the story. The character lacks development and it's just very bizarre. It's just a non stop rant about aging and evolving and sex.. didn't really enjoy this book.

    I really liked this right from the beginning. I was hooked just from the prologue. There were some very hot scenes throughout, and the darkness of some parts really intrigued me. I feel it had a very satisfying ending as well.

    But... I had to give it only 4 stars instead of 5 because there is still some editing to be done. There are sentences with random words capitalized, and some very bad uses of commas where they are not needed. And the incomplete sentences really got to me to. There are of course instances where something like that works, but it just didn't work where the author tried to use them and annoyed me every time.
