Inherit the Stars Part 2: The Network (The Inherited Stars Series) Kindle Edition
STEAMY SCIENCE FICTION ROMANCE...JUST WHAT THE GALAXY ORDERED!
Captain Drea Mennelsohn seems to want far more from the fugitive Sair than just payment for his passage on her ship. Though neither can deny the sizzling chemistry and growing bond between them, Sair must soon make an agonizing decision: maintain his own longed-for freedom or become a helpless pawn in an intergalactic coup against a ruthless superpower.
ABOUT THE INHERITED STARS SERIES
The year is 3500 AD—more or less. No one really keeps track anymore. Since the fall of peacekeeper planet, LaGuardia, two centuries before, much has been lost. Few remember that LaGuardia was once known as Draxis. Fewer still have knowledge that Draxis once guarded a spatial vortex—a crossrip in time and space—and passageway to a legendary world called Earth where the human species originated. Somewhere, hidden in a forgotten archive, is the written history of the known universe and the chronicles of the men and women who helped forge a future in the stars.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2019In my last review I stated there was a part 2, I stand corrected there is a part 3 which is Sacrifice. I hope to get this part as soon as possible.
This part goes more in-depth in the relationship of Drea and Sair. The betrayal by Drea is devastating Sair to his former slave master.
Plot has many twists and turns that the reader has to read part 1 to get all of the characters and the circumstances for the betrayal.
I highly recommend this book. However, I am looking forward to the next to find out what happens to the main characters.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 29, 2015In this second part of the three part Inherit the Stars series, we get more into the intergalactic rebellion that Captain Drea Mennelsohn and her family are involved in. They need Sair’s help to pull off their bold plan to peacefully put an end to the Ithians cruel dominion over the galaxy. If Sair agrees to help, he has a lot to lose, including his hard-won freedom, and possibly his budding relationship with Drea too. This story ends on a cliffhanger as well, so I recommend having Part III ready and waiting so you can find out what happens in the thrilling conclusion to this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2015Greatt trilogy that my son recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2015If you are reading a review about Part II of Inherit the Stars, hopefully you have read Part I. If not, do so right now! It won't take long and you need to read it first to appreciate Part II.
In Part II, there are some mind-blowing revelations about Sair's past. We meet more of the Mennelsohn family. And the relationship between Sair and Drea becomes more intense and more complicated. Here is also where we learn more about the big picture and Drea's role in it. And Zjel's less antagonistic side sneaks out. By the way, my favorite character Zjel also has some interesting history, but if you read Part I, you might have surmised that.
So basically, Part I was a slow burning build up to Part II. The build up and the ensuing uncovering of both characters' histories and civilization's state of affairs is fascinating to read. And because of the way the story was told - the slow build up, the revelations, the hints at future possibilities, I knew there was so much more to come. It made me want to read faster!
There is not much more to say. Loved it! Read it!
