Inherit the Stars Part 3: Sacrifice (The Inherited Stars Series) Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 12 ratings

NOTE: This is PART 3 of a three-part serialized novel. INHERIT THE STARS is also available as a complete novel through Amazon.

STEAMY SCIENCE FICTION ROMANCE...JUST WHAT THE GALAXY ORDERED!

As the truth behind Sair's place in the galaxy and Drea's unique existence are revealed, it becomes clear that they are vital to the success of the coup. But their part in ending the Ithian Alliance may come at a terrible price for Sair: the loss of the remarkable woman he has fallen in love with—and their chance to inherit the stars.

ABOUT THE INHERITED STARS SCIENCE FICTION ROMANCE SERIES:
The year is 3500 AD—more or less. No one really keeps track anymore. Since the fall of peacekeeper planet, LaGuardia, two centuries before, much has been lost. Few remember that LaGuardia was once known as Draxis. Fewer still have knowledge that Draxis once guarded a spatial vortex—a crossrip in time and space—and passageway to a legendary world called Earth where the human species originated. Somewhere, hidden in a forgotten archive, is the written history of the known universe and the chronicles of the men and women who helped forge a future in the stars.

Author LAURIE A. GREEN is a multi-Golden Heart Finalist and space enthusiast.

By now these characters are so real to you, it's painful to watch the choices & the sacrifices they're forced to make as the book gallops to its conclusion. Ms. Green's imagination is marvelous. Her descriptions bring her Inherited Stars alive. I loved being on the Ship that Drea pilots, a character in its own right. The concept of a near-bloodless coup is fascinating. And there's Sair, risking his life for those he loves and believing in the impossible so strongly the impossible must become possible. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.

Wow! What an awesome conclusion to the Inherit the Stars adventure. In Part III, Sair and Drea must make the ultimate sacrifice to make the galaxy a better place. The chance that they will reform civilization while losing each other is great and heartbreaking. I don't mind telling you that I had tears blurring my view of my e-reader. Several times.

In addition to the story of Sair and Drea, there is more of Zjel's saga to enjoy. I love how Zjel always shows up when she is needed. Will there be more of her story in the future? I'd like that.

In Part III, there is so much going on and so many story lines to resolve. Ms. Green pulls it all off in a very exciting manner. I devoured this third part to get to the end. And then I sighed. You know how it is when you finish a book that had become a part of you. Inherit the Stars is amazing!

In the thrilling conclusion to the three part Inherit the Stars series, more information in revealed about Sair’s role in the rebellion against the Ithian Alliance. He has some hard choices to make about his future and what his role will be once everything is resolved. He knows one thing; he wants Drea to be part of that future, despite some of the issues he’s learned about her and her link with her ship, Specter. I enjoyed the side characters, including Drea’s brother and Zjel, who have their own issues to work out. We see more action in space, which is always a hit with me, and even though it seems as though there’s no way to resolve the situation at times, I was happy to see the wonderfully satisfying resolution.
