An impending apocalypse. A lone soldier at the end of a galaxy. Witness the fate of the universe in a startling collection of science fiction tales. The limits of the human condition are tested as ordinary people face conquest and revenge.

Cyberpunk and space opera combine in these dystopian far future adventures. A trail of forgotten lives will have vast consequences for all civilization.

"From android wives and interspecies lovers to robot soldiers and sinister AI grandfathers, Inhuman Pressure is a compendium of action-packed stories that take place in a fantastical intergalactic universe where mankind and machine love and hate each other. The nine short stories written by Rimmington depict a grim yet wonderfully exciting universe rife with conflict. As you make your way through each story, the rich worlds delicately crafted by the author truly come together, leaving you with both the feeling of an intimate understanding, but also a yearning to learn more.

Not all nine stories necessarily follow the same genre or style, so it is likely that each reader would have their favourite. If you are a science fiction lover, I fully recommend that you give this one a go.

First short story collection I have ever read and not disappointed. Very consistent quality storytelling from the author. I've started reading the second book in the Inhuman Pressure series.

The only comment I have is that I got so involved with some of the stories I wished they had been fleshed out into their own respective novels so that I could read more.

Highly recommend following Richard as he publishes more of his work.

Richard's exploration of his cyberpunk dystopia through short stories allows him to weave an epic tale spanning eons but without the cruft. I enjoyed the speed with which a detailed picture of the universe was built up, with it's vast distances and stark differences in technology between worlds. Looking forward to reading the next instalment!

Interesting mix of mostly stories of war and violence with some strange and bizarre odd ones amongst them well written and at times strangely confusing and get compelling.

Amazing first outing. I'm so exciting to see how Rimmington develops his universe further. His ability to write in multiple perspectives is breathtaking. As a reader you get increasingly engrossed with every story and are left wondering where the infinite void series will go next. Brilliant.
