    This is book number 2 of The New York Nighthawks series and focuses on Nixon and Ember. Nixon knew from the first time he looked at Ember that she was his, but he was so focused on making his rookie year a success that he put his wants on the back burner. For seven months, he butted heads with Ember any time they were in the same room until his sister, and Ember’s best friend, decided to set her up on a blind date with Nixon’s teammate Jordan (whose story we get next!). Nixon knows that he needs to get his head out of his butt and go after his woman so what does he do? That’s right, he intercepts the date and steals her for himself. Y’all, this book was everything I knew it would be and then some!! I LOVED this story sooooo much! Like seriously, Nixon and Ember were great together! This series has been nothing short of spectacular and I can’t wait to read Jordan’s story now!

Meanwhile, Naomi is plotting to set her up with Nixon's teammate...

    So, yeah, Nix isn't real keen on that, and makes sure to sabotage that date. But, because his teammate (who will be getting a book soon...*grin*) is a good guy, there's not really anything drastic there.

    I love the way these two get together (and it's a FD book so of course it's hot hot hot) & the way Nixon takes care of Ember when she needs his support & love the most.

    Quick, awesome read!!

    Loved ember and nixons story!!! Getting both POVs you can see they both want one another but he is fighting it for his career and that sake of ember being his little sister best friend and ember is out by the fact she thinks he can’t stand her. So all the bickering ensues. But really they have white hot chemistry. Loved how he made to stop the sage cause he couldn’t deny what he wanted anymore. They were so adorable together. Can’t wait for more.
