Into You Kindle Edition
Olly and Scott promised to be best friends forever. They grew up on the same street, went to the same school, and did everything together. But one hot summer night, teenage experimentation caused hurt feelings and confusion, and their friendship was destroyed.
Four years later they’re both eighteen years old and in their final term at school. Scott is a football star and Olly’s preparing for a main role in the school play. After a heated argument in the street—witnessed by their mysterious, elderly neighbour—they wake up the next morning stuck in each other’s bodies.
With no idea how to get back to normal, they have to co-operate in order to hide their secret. Spending time together rekindles their friendship, yet feelings run deeper for both of them. With the end of school fast approaching, the clock is ticking. Unless they discover how to change back, they could be stuck in the wrong bodies forever.

About the author

Jay lives just outside Bristol in the West of England. He comes from a family of writers, but always used to believe that the gene for fiction writing had passed him by. He spent years only ever writing emails, articles, or website content.
One day, Jay decided to try and write a short story—just to see if he could—and found it rather addictive. He hasn't stopped writing since.
Jay writes contemporary romance about men who fall in love with other men. Jay has five books published by Dreamspinner Press, and he also self-publishes under the imprint Jaybird Press.
Jay is transgender and was formerly known as she/her.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseQuite predictable and somewhat cliched - but eminently enjoyable. I was a bit surprised at just how well this kind of plot had been handled. (It could have been dreadful). A bit awkward to follow at first considering the "switch" is perspective, but after a few chapters the story was easy to follow. Interest in the characters and story was maintained throughout in spite of its predictability. As with most stories of this kind, there were many "flaws" in how the author had the people surrounding the main characters react but this was easy to overlook as the story continued to be merely the fun read it was meant to be. Would the boys parents REALLY not suspect something was amiss their sons' behavior? I think not in a real situation. But this WAS a fantasy. (For another example, I would not really expect the one father's conversion from total homophobe to even grudging acceptance to have been that rapid).
And amazingly, considering the plight of how grammar is so horribly mangled these days, I only found one mistake.
Recommended.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 27, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a story with a very unusual premise (sorry, no spoilers here) and two protagonists with an unusual neighbor who takes an interest in them. The protagonists are apart and then together and they end up having a lot of fun, even though they sometimes don't realize that it's fun. How this all happens is told in this thoroughly interesting and well-written story. Included is a little sex and and a lot of entertainment. Read it!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2021Format: KindleVerified PurchaseJay offers up a sweet story about finding happiness. Check reality at the door and sprinkle the fairy dust. It’s time to find out what it’s like being in someone else’s skin. 3.75 for mysterious neighbors.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2020Format: KindleVerified PurchaseCan't go wrong with this guy. He is an awesome writer. I like it that he leaves a lot to the imagination when it comes to two guys having sex. So much better than all the details.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2017Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis book was a nice read. It was a new twist on the freaky Friday type body switch although it didn't happen on a Friday. I gave it three stars because I liked it. When I first tried to read this story I put it down. I didn't think the body swap was interesting, but decided to give it another chance. It read easily and the pace was moderate like most young adult (YA) books and it gave enough details about the main characters and a good amount of insight about why Scott's dad had a homophobic attitude. The resolution was very good and the story continued on well after they got back to their original bodies.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2016Format: KindleVerified PurchaseOh I do love me a body swap story, and this one doesn't disappoint!
Olly and Scott have a history, childhood friends who share a deep connection, until their relationship changes causing them to part ways. I really enjoyed the connection these two share, and how when they seek to overcome their rather unique situation, this connection flourishes.
Love Jay's work, and look forward to more from this author.

Not only did two old friends who painfully parted ways - reconnect in such a sweet and often laugh-out-loud way, the boys came to terms with who they really are deep inside ~ while stuck in the body of someone else! This story was engaging, refreshing and sweet!

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this cute story!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseIt was both funny and very sweet, and Olly and Scott are both adorable and I loved reading about them resolving their differences and, in Scott0s case, coming to terms with who he really is.
A feel-good story granted to put a smile on your face!

5.0 out of 5 stars What a gem of a story,,!
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThoroughly enjoyed this tale of teenage love lost and found. A little bit of magic from the pen of the my favorite author of MM romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Can the boys get back together?
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is a gentle book. There is romance and the sorting, or hope of sorting out problems with parents. It is difficult for parents to accept the gay identity of their children. In this story one set of parents is very accepting and the father of the other family has difficulty. The two boys are helped by an older and wizened neighbour and her black cat; which adds interesting intrigue to the story. This story takes little effort to read, it has mild sex between two 18 year old boys. Enjoyable!

4.0 out of 5 stars really dislike the cover
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseThis is hardly relevant to the story but I feel I have to get it off my chest.
I really, really dislike the cover...
However Jay is an auto buy for me so I went for it cover not withstanding.
I found it tricky to work out who was who a lot of the time. It's not a criticism as I think the author did a great job of prompting us to remember who was speaking or who's head we were in, I think it's probably just a problem with body swap stories in general.
I really liked Olly and Scott and Olly dealing with Amy made me laugh out loud!
It's a really sweet and cute story. Yes it's all a bit too perfect but I don't care I really enjoyed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great story
Format: KindleVerified PurchaseAn MM version of Freaky Friday.
Loved it and was funny seeing how both boys - Scott and Olly - learned to cope as each other.
Being a teen can be hard enough but not being honest with yourself is so much harder and like pretending.
Scott and I'll discover just how much they've missed out on and revisiting the moment that ended their friendship was well done
