About Brina Brady

From the streets of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, where I ruled as the eldest of five siblings, my life’s journey has been an adventure. After marrying my partner, we started a family and welcomed three amazing daughters into our lives. In 1973, the waves called, and we answered—moving to the sun-kissed beaches of sunny Huntington Beach, California. It was a dream come true.

Later, I married my loving second husband, and when family called, we packed up and headed to Indiana. Retirement opened a new chapter for me, filled with the laughter of my four adorable grandchildren and the company of two sweet cats. It’s a life full of love and completed goals.

For twenty-seven years, I taught at a Continuation High School in Los Angeles, California, where I shared my passion for learning with my students. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Secondary Social Science Credential, and a master’s degree in Secondary Reading and Secondary Education from California State University, Long Beach. I also took creative writing classes at UCLA, which helped fuel my love for storytelling.

Speaking of storytelling, I’ve been hooked on it since I was a kid. As a child, I’d spend Saturday afternoons writing novels while sipping on my grandmother’s homemade, comforting chicken soup. Even as a busy stay-at-home mom, I made time to write every day—it was my escape and my joy. Later, while teaching, I kept writing, though the demands of the classroom meant I had less time to devote to it.

Today, I’m a contemporary romance author who loves writing LGBTQ+ stories. My books often explore complex relationships and emotional journeys, with several series diving into BDSM dynamics. I also write MM romance without BDSM themes, focusing on engaging plots, well-developed characters, and plenty of steamy moments.

When I’m not writing, I’m indulging in my other passions. I’m an avid reader, always getting lost in new worlds and characters. I also love graphic design, where I get to blend art and technology to create something beautiful. And when it’s time to relax, I’m hooked on Turkish TV series—their rich stories and cultural depth totally captivate me. Each of my hobbies reflects my love of creativity, storytelling, and exploring new horizons.

    The Runaway Gypsy Boy book 1
    Daniel flees Limerick after losing his job and fear of being exposed as gay. Daniel is a gypsy and runs away to Galway. He ends up at Cleary’s Pub which is a leather bar. There he meets Ronan, who becomes his Dom. They have several issues they need to address if they want to be together.
    Master Cleary’s Boys book 2
    Kevin and Jack are cousin’s who escape their abusive Dom and run to Galway. They shave their heads and end up at Cleary’s Pub. They look for work and Cameron Cleary the owner questions their story but hires them. Cameron is very interested in the boys. He hasn’t had a boy in awhile but doesn’t know if he can handle two. The storyline and characters are outstanding. There is plenty of drama and trust issues involved. Plus the cousins past comes back to cause problems.
    Master Braden’s Houseboy book 3
    Reece is homeless after being kicked out by his father. He is found under a cardboard box by Connor Braden a police officer and Dom. Connor hires him as his houseboy. Reece is confronted by Patrick his previous sub who left. This makes Reece take off and homeless again. Connor has no interest in Patrick at all. There is a lack of trust and communication between Connor and Reece, but Reece loves Connor and Connor loves Reece.
    This has been a great series of books that I couldn’t put down until the end. The stories center around Cleary’s Pub but are complete standalone stories.

    Brina Brady has written three beautifully told BDSM stories about four lads (who are subs) in three different situations whose lives are changed after serendipitously finding sanctuary in Master Cleary's pub. Each story is a full-length novel. In each story, a young man is trying to escape from a life of betrayal and abuse. Master Cleary and his friends are doms, looking for subs.

    As one would expect from any Brina Brady novel, the characters are well-developed and you see growth as the story continues. Each story starts with the young man having been betrayed, and abused emotionally and/or physically.The doms in the story are all men who truly understand the BDSM culture and nature of the dom/sub relationship. They understand the consensual nature between dom and sub. They demonstrate the unconditional love and trust important in any true BDSM relationship as well as the importance of aftercare. Such things have a tremendously healing effect on the young men in these stories.

    Ms. Brady's novels subtly intertwine the main story with secondary themes of homophobia, misogyny, and social injustice...sometimes as a constant whisper and sometimes as a shout. These three novels show us how cruel, black-hearted, and hateful some people can be but also how we can choose to rise above such things. We can choose to be the best we can be. We can choose to help those in need. We can choose to allow ourselves to be loved. As always, the author ends her stories with very satisfying happily-ever-afters. The world certainly needs more of that.

    A wonderful boxset of three books with helpless subs finding safety with reluctant Doms. The first book is The Runaway Gypsy Boy about Daniel running away from his home where he won’t be accepted when his secrets come out and finding a Dom in Ronan in Cleary’s Pub. The second book is Master Cleary’s Boys where Pub owner Master Cleary find two boys, Kevin and Jack, on the run and not wanting another Dom but needing one. The final book number three is Master Braden’s Houseboy in which Braden is a Dom who stumbles upon Reese on the streets and gives him a home and more. This was a steal of a deal 3-for-1 that is quick to read and enjoyable.

    I really enjoyed this series. They are the first books I've read by this author. Very well written and well paced. Each story features a different Dom/sub couple and dynamic. This boxset includes:

    Book 1: The Runaway Gypsy Boy
    Book 2: Master Cleary's Boys
    Book 3: Master Braden's Houseboy

    An enjoyable Series. 4 stars.

    I enjoyed reading this series. I've only read some of Brina Brady's books so when I saw the boxset, I was happy to review it. I wasn't disappointed. it was well-written, and each story kept me involved. Loved it.
