Review
"The world building is so original. Frankly, while I love 'real alien aliens' and the fantasies of relationships with them, I don't always love he's stories. I love Gia's independence and adventurous life." — Kindle Customer, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★
"A great read. This was a short read by a new author to me and the storyline was intriguing and held my interest. The characters were likeable with great personalities, and their interactions kept me swiping left." — Gckyle02, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★
"This is the 2nd book in The Falcon Station Series. I personally found it better than the 1st. I enjoyed the way Isla Noir has defined in detail the Lyran species. I like the interactions between Tiro and Gia. Looking forward to reading more about His and her adventures." — Edward Family, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★
"I'm loving this series I can't put it down. Great characters well written. I am amazed at how the author makes everything work." —April Weiser, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★
"I enjoyed Tiro and Gia's relationship, I think their push and pull love life is a good representation of a modern one. A dysfunctional relationship, lol, but still brings modern problems to mind. The role reversal is still fun for me to read, Gia has the power, as a WOMAN in a PNR SciFi book, but Tiro is sneaky in his attempt to tie them up. Karen is despicable, and I totally think that Gia needs a better friend. Also, the doctor is borderline skeezy, but it's space, so I guess beggars can't be choosers, yeah? One thing that I questioned was if Tiro really was not seeing other humans, based on some of his comments, even with his species marriage contract pending." — L. Nunn, Amazon Reviewer ★★★★★

About the author

I love science fiction romance, so expect my stories to always be lasciviously alien and heavy on sci-fi world-building.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2021Author/zoologist Isla Noir offers no biographical information other than that she borrows heavily from Swedish author Alma Nilsson. Having read works by both authors, the possibility that Isla Noir, apparently born in New York, is a nom de plume Nilsson uses to create ‘novelettes’ of the same sci-fi genre is a possibility! Isla summarizes The Falcon Station Series, of which Rrrr is Book 2, is being about ‘a woman in the 27th century living her best life on an intergalactic cosmopolitan station. This independent, sassy, self-sufficient gambler of the future will go on intimate dates with a variety of different aliens from across the galaxy in her on-going quest for love and companionship. However, aliens being aliens, might not always be physically compatible with humans which makes dating aliens tricky.’ In any case, the ‘connect’ between these two authors is a bonus to readers of sexy science fiction!
The writing style Isla uses is light-hearted and as easy to read as it is erotically creative. As this novella opens, we encounter Gia: ‘I know that rising and falling notification. Or at lest I think I do. I don’t want to get too excited. Unfortunately, my body takes no such precautions. My heart is thumping like a bass drum at the climax of a Russian opera. I grab my IC off my bedside table and shriek with delight when I see that there was no reason for prudence. My ears were not playing tricks on me. The message is from my former Lyran lover Tiro…I don’t want to make myself too available. Also he’s a cat. He likes the chase. Two seconds later, I get a reply, and I can’t help but smile as I read it….I put my IC back on my bedside table and smile. I have not seen Tiro since we said our goodbyes on Vega about a year ago. Despite us not being a romantic item anymore, he will always hold a good piece of my heart.’
So much of what Isla does with this delectable, naughty little novella is found in the above quotation, but to clarify the direction, she supplies the following: ‘Lyran Lover from the Vega Star Constellation. A handsome Lyran diplomat wants to marry me and will not take ‘no’ for an answer. Of course, he is a tall, muscular, and jaguar-like god of a man, but I’m not ready to give up my freedom in the galaxy. However, I can do dinner. He says he has two surprises for me. I am human. I am curious I must meet him for my surprises.’
Making a ‘cat and mouse’ game into a Cat (Tiro) and human female (Gia) seduction creates a fast reading, futuristic, intergalactic, hilarious, and yes, wise, little story. Whatever the origin, this is a fun read by a lady of skill! Grady Harp, July 21
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2021“Rrrr,” is the second book in the “Falcon Station,” and it is honestly the first that I have read by author Isla Noir. I have to admit, based on the cover I was a bit put off, but all in all, I have to admit that this book is insanely well-done for a comical sci-fi adventure. The relationship between Gia and Tiro is fun and engaging (and oftentimes completely hysterical), and the others residing at Falcon Station are equally awesome (including the ones you love to hate). If you are looking for a silly sci-fi adventure to check out this summer, look no further than “Rrrr.”
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2021I am better thinking of these books as "installments" as the author has mentioned, they are too brief and end too precipitously to be novelettes. I enjoyed this one, meeting the heroine's rather sly feline lover and her frenemy. I'll watch out for the next installment.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2021This book was recommended to me as a "bit of a weird romance" and I have to say it certainly fit the bill. However, weird and romance in the same sentence describe my favorite romance books. This book is number two in a series of novelettes about one human woman sleeping with different alien species. This is the second in the series and I'd recommend picking up the first as well. Come on, they're both about 70 pages so they will be a quick and enjoyable read. This one features Gia and her jaguar like alien lover but does mention a lot of things that happened in book 1. Overall, it was a lovely little read, but only for adults to enjoy!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2021Rrrr: by Isla Noir is the second book in the Falcon Station series. I will admit, I was a little hesitant based on the cover of the book alone. Even as I delved into the pages of the story, I was not left all that impressed. Maybe my expectations were a little too high for this type of science fiction or fantasy book. As I read the story, I could not take it fully serious. It is just a little too silly for me. It is not that I have not read a similar story before but the way the author writes about it was too simplistic and too careless. Perhaps that is the purpose here. Still, this was one of my least favorite books I have read in quite awhile. Regardless, the story is short with less than 100 pages, so I did not waste too much time. Perhaps some young kids would better enjoy this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2020This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read is not your traditional romance rushing towards happily ever after. There's a 'How I Met Your Mother' sitcom aspect to these stories... these are the antics and hijinks that happened on the way to true love.
In this story His, our main character, a professional gambler, gets a visit from Tiro, an on-again off-again beau who probably has her best interests at heart, and most likely just wants to check in after realizing she was involved in the events of the previous story.
Light and fun entertainment, full of bigger than life personalities, and taking place in a Universe Gia only understands a portion of, this story finds humor around as many corners as it finds relatable honesty.
“What’s romance without danger?” Gia's young enough, and adventurous enough to still wonder.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2020Now i can't give details about the book because they would end up as Spoilers. So how do I share about the Heroine's conquests and day, well whenever, job, her accidental sex tape, frenemy Karen, mstchmaking service for the Alliance spy network ... See? There's a lot going on here.
👍👍😂💖
- Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2021Disappointed, the ending was not that great. Should have had a Happy ending, disappointed she didn't marry him, he was a great guy!
