- Reviewed in the United States on July 21, 2024The ECHO team is embroiled in a terrorist takeover of the United States government. The Secretary of Defense relies upon Joe Hawke to rescue the USA from the curse of Medusa.
- Reviewed in the United States on August 20, 2017Loved it. Lots of sarcastic humor. Main character Joe Hawke should think more about defense before Trouble comes. Anticipating the actions of these villains should come as second nature to an SBS veteran. Instead, the same things happen time after time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just gets better
Yet another excellent read from Rob Jones. This time we find Joe on his own after walking away from Lea and ECHO in the last instalment. He finds himself in the middle of massive terror attacks in the USA and searching for the President and all the time trying to understand what a Greek Myth has to do with it all. Its not load before Scarlett and Ryan turn up to help. Meanwhile Lea is off on her own chasing ghosts!!!Very well written with some good twist and turns and a great cliff hanger ending, looking forward to the next keep up the great work Rob.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read.
When I started reading this book I was expecting it to be along the same lines as his other novels & although the story was good &well written the Medusa scenario didn't work for me at all. It really was way too far fetched. No-one seemed to bat an eyelid or question how this mythical skull had gone from years of fantasy to the actual real-life existence of such a lethal`weapon`. The actual plot was really good & there was plenty of action throughout but I would've preferred something that was more believable. Still an enjoyable book & if you are able to get past the credibility of the deathly evil Medusa then you will probably enjoy this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Okay read.
Again similar format to the rest but if you like the other books then this has a slightly more political flavour. Okay read. But still a bit formulaic along the way. I just like the twists on ancient history.
