The Sword of Fire (Joe Hawke Book 9) Kindle Edition
Still reeling from the destruction of their headquarters, Hawke and the rest of the ECHO team must retrieve the stolen manuscript and translate its mysterious clues to solve one of the oldest riddles of all time and secure an ancient weapon of awesome and unpredictable power.
With their boss, Sir Richard Eden, still in a coma, the team are forced to rely on the guidance and back-up of the enigmatic Magnus Lund if they are to secure the manuscript and complete their mission, but no one knows if he can be trusted.
As the mission unfolds they face challenges like never before: Lea Donovan learns a difficult truth about her family; the Oracle is deepening his infiltration of the upper echelons of the US Government; and the Zodiacs – a notorious snatch squad of assassins employed by a secretive department deep within the Chinese Ministry of State Security – are hunting a member of the ECHO team and have devised the cruellest of traps to snare her.
From Boston Harbor to a private Mediterranean island, from the canals and backstreets of Amsterdam to the Welsh mountains, The Sword of Fire sees the ECHO team fighting as never before as they try to deny their enemy the prize it so desperately craves.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2020Villains who are pure evil, characters with fun and quirky personalities. History, myth, and lots of heart pounding adventures. As soon As you finish one book, you can't wait to start the next book in the this series.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2017Another great story from Rob Jones. Its what we readers have come to expect from this author. Quick action and I particularly like the quirky humour through the story. Looking forward to book 10 in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2018More action than you can shake a stick at. Great stories. Awesome characters. Loved the whole series. Can’t wait for The Kings Tomb. I read all 9 novels back to back. It’s the best way!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 6, 2020I liked everything but the distracting banter some is ok but after that it’s too much. Look forward to #10
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2017As usual the Hawke series is fast paced but it needs an ending before the next one starts. Still good reading though
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2018Can't wait for #10 in the Joe Hawke series. With all the action and sub plots you are left wanting more!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2018Sword of fire was a g[d read with more violence than I've ever read before bringing cultist into play. Mr Jones should have an aviation expert verify the facts he uses, one being a Westland helicopter can't fly at 25,000 feet, heck no helicopter can do that.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2018Just a great action story and well written

4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable just waiting for the follow up.
Great. But still waiting for the follow up book. The King's tomb. Which was promise for 2017 I have to ask are Rob Jones and David Leadbetter one and the same person ?? As they both seem to write the same stories and just change the names.
