Sunshine & Lightning (Jackson's Bay Mini Series Book 1) Kindle Edition
Karl Spencer walked out on Rebecca Patterson ten years ago and has regretted it ever since. There wasn’t a week that passed by that he didn’t regret running away from her that night. Karl spent a lot of time hating himself for not fighting for their relationship.
Rebecca used her broken heart to fuel her determination to achieve her career goal, Editor-in-Chief of Ipris Magazine. She ignores that she had never had a relationship last more than three months. An enforced week off lands her in Jackson’s Bay at the same time as Karl Spencer.
No matter what, Karl is determined to find out if she still feels anything for him. Will Karl win Rebecca back?
Sunshine and Lightning is the first of six books. Ipris Magazine has its gala ball at the Imperial Estate on top of the cliffs, and this year they are celebrating 140 years of publication.
The town is basking in an usually long heat wave. Clothes are coming off, and inhibitions are being lost. We follow twenty-two people throughout the week leading up to the party. Secrets, revelations, ambitions and desires will come to the forefront. Will the men and women overcome inhibitions, stigma and blackmailers by the time they attend the Gala celebrations that will have over a thousand people in attendance?

About the author

Born and raised in Wales, in a sleepy town just outside Cardiff, Grace developed a love of stationery at a very early age. She still can’t pass a pen shop without nipping in for a quick look around.
Writing and publishing since 2012, Grace has many books in her back catalog, all in the Romance genre. They range from Rock Star Romance to Small Town Romance and Family Sagas. Be warned, her books have a high heat level!
In a nutshell?
21st Century Romance – Writing about understated powerful women. Understated love stories with a powerful message, each and every time.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 12, 2018The book opens a lot of stories but leaves some of them open. I am not a big fan of that. BUT well written, the interesting
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2018This book wasn’t very long, and the last paragraph leaves the reader hanging to find out what announcement the female protagonist is going to make at the gala.
Just combine it all into a book of decent length and finish the story! Now I feel like I’ve wasted today reading this, because as a matter of principle I will not buy the next book when the author ends with a cliffhanger.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2020Cliffhanger! That upset me to begin with. I thought each story would wrap up one couple, but not. You have to read them all to see what happens... Second, the story is full of typos (I won't mention grammar simply because I think this is a UK based author). I had a hard time getting a read on the characters though, as they're not very well developed. Maybe they grow as the story continues. I won't know that because I have no interest in continuing.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2018This was a nice book. A bit disjointed in parts. I liked this book but was crazy about it. Seemed jerky in spots. I am not sure if I will read more of this author work.
