    Jaxon is part of a secret, unsanctioned-by-the-government, crime fighting group that helps people. When the Indie Rebels give him his next assignment and it's the woman he's been putting off, Jaxon knows his life is about to get that much more complicated. He's stunned when his feelings for Holly explode, and soon he's falling hard for her. But when his long-lost brother shows up as Holly's bodyguard, his life gets even more complicated. Can he keep Holly safe, figure out what's going on with his brother, and keep his secret all at the same time?

    Although I haven't read the first book in the Indie Rebels series, I was able to easily pick up on what was going on in Jaxon. I liked Jaxon and Holly together, they're both likable, engaging characters. Add in the suspense and the mystery, and I ended up really getting into this story. I can't wait to read Bryce's story next.

    This book portrays a protector a damsel and a whole lot of confusion. Holly is a star but because of this she has bad luck in relationships, she is in love with her brothers business partner in his security team, Jason is evading Hollys advances because he is afraid of hurting her, finding out his long lost criminal of a younger brother is going to be her new body guard sends him in so many confusing emotions, jealousy, anger, fear, loss. He has to put her in the line of fire to catch a bad group of fellons. Does he sacrifice the love of a great woman to do his job, now that Holly finds out the truth will she still want him?

    "Jaxson; The Assignment" is Miranda Charles second book in her indie rebels series.If you love, intrigue, mystery and a sexy sweet romance then this book fits the bill.
    Jaxson Caine successfull business man and indie rebel agent in training receives his new assignment from the rebels he needs to complete to become a full fledge rebel; that assignment , protect singer Holly Sterling from possible kidnapping in light of another performer recently being kidnapped and held for ransom. Should be an easy assignment, he knows Holly, through his best friend and trainer Xavier who is also part of the indie rebels . However an easy assignment it will not be. Jaxson and Holly share. Mutual attraction for one another , one that Jaxson keeps avoiding. Jaxson really does not want to avoid a relationship with Holly, however he has issues with his family that the Indie Rebels are helping him with, issues that he does not want Holly exposed or drawn into.
    To be able to be close to Holly and protect her though, he embraces a relationship with the intention of letting her go once she is safe, so she asks holly to keep the relationship secret from her brother Xavier; jaxson's best freind, giving her the excuse that he does not want to be in the public eye, he wants to stay away from the paparazzi that follow her.
    To add more intrigue, suddenly jaxsons brother Bryce who he hs not seen in years is Holly's new body guard but he is using a different list name..
    Can Jaxson trust Bryce, is he really here to protect her or is he working with the kidnapping ring?
    Will the paparazzi catch them? Will Xavier find out? Will Holly actually be abducted? Will Jaxson be able to walk away?
    Will you be able to put this book down; doubtful , too many questions and to well written.
