    Jude is a MMA cage fighter who thinks of nothing else but fighting. His older brother Jax is more successful but he's good too and is just waiting on his chance to prove himself. When his coach asks Jude to take his daughter Sadie to her senior prom, he had no desire to babysit. Although Sadie is only three years younger, Jude had never thought of Sadie that way. Then the coach ups the pot by promising to sign Jude up for the biggest fight of his career if he'll go forward with the date. Reluctantly he agrees both to the date and to keeping her dad's involvement a secret.

    Sadie has had a crush on Jude for years. She can't believe when he asks her to prom after her ex-boyfriend dumped her. When Jude sees the transformation Sadie goes through, he actually sees Sadie through news eyes and is instantly attracted to her. Their share a hot night that turns into more. But secrets have a way of coming out and can ruin a good thing before you know it.

    SPOILERS ahead - stop reading now if you don't want to see them.

    I really liked Jude and thought he was a great guy. He saved himself for someone important and he truly cared for Sadie. I didn't like him keeping the secret and I knew it would eventually bite him. Sadie however overreacted. I know she was hurt, but what she did was pretty bad too. The scene with Matt, the secret text from the ex regarding the video and also allowing Jude to believe what he did before the big fight... Those things added up to more that what Jude did and I thought they should have apologized to each other, not just him doing the apologizing. It works out in the end, but I was still annoyed with her character. I liked Linc's character and his story is the next in the series.

    Lane Hart's second installment in her MMA Romance series is featuring my favorite character from the first novel. "Jude" is a complex story of young love. There are many "tentacles" to this romance that make it a bit dicey. First, Jude is a fantastic character he is exuberant, protective, and rather guileless. Sadie is young, not so innocent and because she is so young she is a little stupid. She makes some stupid choices and actions that are sometimes manipulative, sometimes hot-headed, and sometimes plain dangerous. There are also other machinations, by someone else, in play. Sadie is the "Wild Card" that almost caused me to give this novel a lower score than I did. However I thought back to when I was a college Freshman and remembered how incredibly stupid I was so I cut her some slack. We get to revisit Jax and Page and their one year old son. Coach Briggs plays a prominent and delightfully devious role. Surprisingly Jude's major opponent in this novel, Linc Abrams, is a fantastic secondary character who is delightful and has charisma to spare - and I love him. The character growth in this novel isn't as straight forward or as remarkable as it was in the first entry of the Cocky Cage Fighter series, "Jax". But Jude and Linc are so wonderful, and Ms. Hart covered so many emotions in "Jude" - laugh, sigh, cry - that I "closed" my e-reader smiling.
    "Jude" is most certainly a New Adult Romance. Lane Hart puts in lots of twists and turns in this novel. Jude is always a fun character - enthusiastic, optimistic, and just over the top with his feelings. The other character you'll love is surprisingly Linc Abrams! He is laid back, hilarious, and an all around good time. He's just a good ol' Southern boy. I cannot wait to read his book!!! Sadie is a really young heroine and so it can be really tough to understand her motivation all of the time. And who knew that ol' Coach Briggs is actually a maniacal Puppet-Master? But she really loves Jude to distraction. It's interesting - these are all stand alone novels in one series and they completely run the gamut ... This is definitely a series that has gotten my interest in a choke hold and I can't wait to read more!

    ok, j'avais bien aimé Jax, et on avait rencontré son petit frère Jude. Il paraissait intéressant et sympa. En fait, lui, il l'est... mais l'héroïne, c'est autre chose. D'accord, elle a 18 ans, mais elle est immature, égoïste, inconsciente, irresponsable, c'est une allumeuse de première, prête à aguicher tous les mecs pour rendre Jude jaloux, au risque d'être obligée de se taper un mec dont elle n'a pas envie, suit des hommes qu'elle ne connait que depuis 5mn et dort avec eux, en tout bien tout honneur, évidemment... Hallucinant. Et les conséquences de ses actes ne la dérangent pas du tout.
    Bref, impossible d'aimer cette héroïne : en plus, à part ses attributs physiques super hot, et que c'est une nerd, on ne sait pas grand chose d'elle, donc, ça n'aide pas.

    On rencontre le héros du prochain tome, Linc, mais je n'ai pas compris le personnage non plus : quel mec de 24 ans s'encombre d'une jeune fille de 18 ans en pleine crise d'adolescence et se comporte comme sa meilleure amie 5 mn après l'avoir vue ?!

    Je crois que je vais sauter la suite.

    Second book in the series. Jude, the younger brother of MMA champion Jax.
    Jude is offered the fight of a lifetime by his head coach. But, he has to do one favour for the coach first. Jude has to take his daughter Sadie to her high school prom after Sadie's original date dumps her for someone else.
    Sadie has grown up in the MMA gym with her single father running it. She is a Tom-boy and has had a crush on Jude for a while, so when he asks her to prom she is over the moon and is excited. Sadie wants Jude to see her as a woman and not as a kid or his coach's daughter.
    When Jude goes to pick her up, he is struck with lust at seeing her dressed up and looking sexy as hell.
    Passion grows, emotions run high and what happens if Sadie finds out the real reason Jude took her to prom? You will have to read it to find out and trust me, you will love this book.
    This book, I think was better then Jax. I love Jax don't get me wrong but, Jude and Sadie are just that little bit more.

    You find out a little more about Jax and Jude's past about their mother and how to move forward also Sadie finds what it is she really wants to do at college. It's just a great book. I'm soooooo loving this series.
