- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 2016I am falling head over heals for this amazing series!
Just One Week is Book #2 in the series. Although I feel like it might could be read as a stand alone, I would HIGHLY recommend that you read the previous book first. The first book introduces you to the characters and how they met. I really feel that it helps make the story even more beautiful after already feeling like you know the main characters and all the supporting characters in this book.
In this touching story you get a better insight to the relationship between two very broken people. Their pasts have cause them a lot of heart ache and forced them to fear love. Their journey is very sweet and beautiful. It reminds me of that saying "a great relationship is not between two perfect people, but instead two people who are perfectly imperfect for each other". This couple is PERFECTLY IMPERFECT! I loved the ending. It could not have ended any better.
The characters are very complex and lovable. The supporting characters are the best. They are all wonderful and you quickly fall in love with the entire group of friends.
I have adored both books so far and can't wait to read more in this series! I highly recommend this series and any books by Stacey Lynn!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2022Mia’s best friend Nicole has found her second chance at love after tragically losing her first love. She found it in Zack Walker, the lead singer of the band that Mia loves. Along the way Mia found herself in a FWB fling with Chase, the drummer in the band.
Mia has a great career and for the most part enjoys her life. She misses Nicole after she moved to be with Zack permanently but she tries to see her as often as she can. The upcoming wedding is something she has looked forward to for a long time and she can’t wait to see Nicole marry Zack, getting the happy ever after she deserves with such an awesome guy.
What Mia was not expecting was to be swept off her feet by Chase in a carefully planned pre wedding getaway. All he asks for is one week, just the two of them spending time together. This completely blind sides Mia, their no strings attachment arrangement seems to be veering in a direction she doesn’t want. Mia shies away from love and commitment but she reluctantly agrees to Chase’s proposal.
The thing is, Chase has fallen in love with Mia. Sleeping with groupies is a thing of the past for him. Once he realized that he was beginning to feel things for Mia, he has been exclusively hers. Now he just needs to show her how much she means to him and how he sees a future with her. However, Mia is harboring a few secrets that she doesn’t want to share with anyone, not even her bestie Nicole.
Mia has decided that Chase deserves better, he deserves a woman who can give him all the things he wants. Chase is frustrated that every time he thinks he is getting closer to something more with Mia she runs away. Why can’t she see what is right in front of her eyes, a man that loves her unconditionally and wants to give her everything she desires.
Mia’s personal struggle highlights an important health issue faced by many women worldwide. She battles with what she thinks is the right thing to do for both her and Chase but forgetting that he has a choice too. This is the second part in this series and wraps it up nicely with lots of Zack & Nicole moments.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 26, 2014This is the sequel to Just One Song, which turned out to be one of my FAVORITES. : ) It also, surprisingly, was not a planned book. This story, Mia & Chase's story, was written for the fans. Aside from the beauty of the story itself, I just think that fact is awesome & had to share!
So! We met Mia & Chase in Just One Song. Mia is Nicole's best friend; Chase is the drummer in Zack's band (and also one of his best friends). They had an instant attraction & began a friends w/ bennies relationship in JOS. Chase was starting to get a little too serious, Mia was starting to get really freaked out, and when Just One Week opens, Mia hasn't spoken to Chase in about 6 months.
This story was hard - a lot harder for me thank JOS. Part of it is that I wanted to strangle Mia for most of the book. She is going through A LOT of crap. Enough to break anyone, really, but she doesn't break - she just gets bent so far down, and the part that bugged me is that she refuses to reach out her hand and accept the help that both Chase & her best friend are trying to offer her. She's super stubborn. And Chase... he's hot and talented and so in love w/ Mia...
And, as a bonus, we get to see Nicole & Zack's wedding! : )
Beautifully written, amazing story, so happy the fans demanded more Mia & Chase! The last chapters & epilogue are spot on to what they should be, and this one is definitely on the keeper shelf along w/ JOS. *hearts* : )
- Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2015Loved this book. I couldn't wait to hear how Mia and Chase's story was told. Mia is a girl who is afraid to "love" and settles on a "friends with benefits" kind of relationship with Chase. After witnessing her parents struggle with their relationship Mia sees that love only hurts and it isn't worth the pain. Mia is faced with breast cancer and this book shows her struggles and how she manages to overcome all of her fears about love. Chase is so sweet and the perfect guy for her. He never lets her down and is just there for her. He loves her with or with out her hears. He just wants to love her. This has a HEA ending.
Happy reading!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 26, 2015This book was heartbreaking but was beautifully written. I was happy to read Mia's story as I had a feeling there was something behind her need for casual relationship only. The fact that she and Chase were meant for each other and that he has the patience of a saint, only adds to the loveliness of their story.

5.0 out of 5 stars Just one week
This book is the perfect follow up to Just One Song. I loved getting to know Mia and Chase better and still see what was happening with the other characters as well. Even the appearance of Ethan was well timed and a good follow up to what happened to him after the first book. In short, another amazing book by Stacey Lynn. I highly recommend these books to anyone and will be keeping an eye out for other books by her as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyed
This was the first book by this author, and thoroughly enjoyed the story. I didn't read about Zack n Nic first and do think I've missed out a bit. I think I would enjoyed how these two first met. But never mind, enjoyed it still.

This has been an emotional listen so well told by Meghan Kelly and Neil Thorne I did find myself deeply affected by many parts of the story, especially near the beginning and my heart broke for Nicole. Zack is a fabulous character. A wary rockstar who meets a beautiful woman who has absolutely no idea who he is! Caring, careful and kind, he is just what Nicole needs. I loved this story and both narrators were fab. 💖💖💖💖
