Victoria Heckman is the author of three mystery series, "K.O.'d in...." Hawaii mystery series, & "The Coconut Man mysteries of Ancient Hawaii" as well as the "Elizabeth Murphy Animal Communicator" series set on California's Central Coast.
Pearl Harbor Blues, a stand alone mystery set in Hawai'i, begins on Dec. 7, 1941 and a series of events is set in motion, finishing fifty years later with long held secrets exposed and a family dynasty destroyed.
"K.O.'d in the Banzai Pipeline," is her latest in the Hawai'i police officer series, set in the world of pro surfing.
"White Fox" is the newest of the Elizabeth Murphy Animal Communicator series. Elizabeth and her cats rescue an abandoned kitten who is not what she seems. Also, Elizabeth and her fire fighter husband are expecting their first child when their friend and employee gets himself in trouble with some suspicious characters. While Elizabeth tries to help the kitten adjust to the household, some mystical challenges occur. Are they because her pregnancy is making her off balance, or is the mysterious creature helping to solve a bigger is problem? Either way, she has to figure out before the baby arrives!
Victoria Heckman divides her time between Hawaii and California's Central Coast and belongs to the Central Coast Chapter of Sisters in Crime.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2013I have just finished the second book in this series and can't wait to start Book 3. KO is a great, likeable character. The story lines in Books 1 and 2 are interesting, and I look forward to reading more from this series.
