Kacey: The First Premise: A Dark Daddy Kink Trans/Gay Romance (Transitivity Book 1) Kindle Edition
His student wants him and won't take no for an answer.
Hunter Fitz keeps running from his past, but the dark claws of memory follow him everywhere he goes. Taking another new job in another new city, Hunter hopes that maybe, just once, he can finally settle down.
Then he meets Kacey Reynolds, a free-spirited student who is as beautiful as he is exasperating, to say nothing of the unbearable arousal Hunter feels whenever the boy is around.
Hunter knows he can't give in to temptation. He's managed to stay celibate for two decades, and breaking that streak would make him just as bad as them.
But Kacey might prove more than he can resist.
Kacey: The First Premise is the first book in the Transitivity series. It features a stern logic professor who's haunted by his past, a sassy FTM trans student with an affinity for makeup and belly dancing, and philosophical musings on different cultures' views on sex and relationships. It has an HFN ending, leading to an MMM HEA in book three. **This series contains content of a taboo nature. It also takes place in a fictional world, where the rules are different.**

About the author

G.R. Lyons stumbled into writing as a form of trauma recovery when traditional therapy wasn't working.
Then the story ideas just kept on coming.
Pulling from a vivid imagination as well as real-life experience as a trans man, a sexual assault survivor, and a person living with mental illness, Lyons has written multiple, interconnected series set within his fictional world of the Shifting Isles.
When not writing, Lyons can be found belly dancing around the house, studying anarcho-capitalist philosophy, buried in his never-ending TBR pile, or working out at the local CrossFit gym.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2019Yes, I read the taboo warnings, but didn't see it so much, as I expected. Ages vary in different parts of the country or world, and what I saw was a college student, of legal age, worthy of finding another man attractive. This story between Kacey and Hunter was well written, and well defined. Some of Hunter's excursions were hard to get through, but I kept on delving in. This turned out to be an amazing, and well written tale of possibilities and the means to get and push you further into it. Cuddo's to the author. I fell in love with the characters in the mix, which is a good sign of good story-telling period. I can't wait to read the next one by this author.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2019Wow! I'm trying to come up with words to adequately describe this book. Twisted, dark, taboo, disturbing, and brilliantly written are just a few of the ones that come to mind. This book really pushed my comfort zones and, yet, was entirely too addictive to put down.
The story centers around three main characters: Kaycee - a FTM trans college student, his step-father, Austin, and his Logic professor, Hunter. As we come to know them, we discover that all three are harboring some pretty potent emotional demons and that they are heading towards a collision with each other as their pasts and presents collide. While I really loved Kaycee, I felt that he was very self-destructive in his obsessions with his step-father and professor. I found Austin to be rather weak in character and Hunter ... Oh, Hunter was just so screwed up on so many levels. Despite these, though, the story is so addictive that you are compelled to keep reading, just to find out if the characters somehow redeem themselves.
I've struggled to say that I liked it because it isn't so much like but more like passing a car accident on the highway. You know you should look away but you just can't help gawking anyway as you go by. That said, the author did a brilliant job in, not only tackling something so taboo, but also in putting it in to words. The writing is strong and compelling and despite feeling a bit uncomfortable I know that I will be reading the second book in the series to find out what happens next!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2019I found this book when I was searching for some Daddy kink, Daddy and twink never goes wrong.
Though the blurb never prepared me for how the book actually is, it gave me a much more sunshine outlook on what I could expect.
This is not sunshine by a long shot, it's dark and messy.
For Kacey, having his stepfather would be perfect and even more so, his professor along with it. And he goes to long lengths in his attempts to tempt either man to want him.
Hunter have been celibate for twenty years, to keep the darkness of his past from consuming him, only it just takes a too eager Kacey to unravel it.
And the Hunter you have endearing feelings for in the start as he dodges the boys advances, twists to darkness.
He manipulates to get what he wants, but somehow excuses his behaviour, still seeming vulnerable when it comes to Kacey.
I had so many moments in this book where I thought "This is so messed up." And it is.
But it also shows what a horrid childhood can do to someone that is barely holding on in the first place.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2019While this book is not exactly what I thought it would be, I did find it interesting. Mmmm good. I liked the trans aspect, but it took me a while to get into the sci-fi genre.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2020I'm glad I decided to give this series a try. I've heard alot of good things but I waiting because of the other world aspect. But I didn't have any trouble getting wrapped up in this story. I'm excited to read the next one. This story has a beautiful lovely trans FTM and a troubled professor who has dark issues. Part 1 of 3 in the series.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2019Wow! Kacey is so charismatic, confident and self aware that he truly came to life. Hunter is a fascinating character with so much mystery. The storyline was great, the intrigue, sexual chemistry, and plot just captivated me. Loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark but delightful
I never fail to be surprised at what new dark and twisted idea comes out of this author's mind but I liiiiive for each and every single one of them. Every dark, twisted, taboo and controversial theme is always perfectly executed. Kacey is no exception. The extent of the taboo themes were slowly revealed as characters became more and more morally ambiguous, and I LOVED it.
