I liked the way these two had liked each other in school but both in their own way where just to shy to say anything so they did not know how to act around the other. Now they must come together to find out what happened the day Sherry Worthing's fiance died will Liam Collins be able to keep her safe? This book had me on the edge I had to know what would happen next. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

I liked the premise of the book, however I feel that it would have been better if were developed into a longer format. The progression of the character dynamics seemed a little rushed, which to me, took away from the suspenseful nature of the book. I would like to see more of the characters in the rest of the series, but I do wish there had been more time to get to know them in this installment.

Keeping the Spy by Victoria Pinder is a Romantic Thriller

Billionaire Liam is 2 days away from leaving the CIA so that he can figure out what he wants to do with his life as well as spend more time with his family. That changes when Liam gets called into his boss's office to discuss the beautiful and curvy Sherry, Liam's high school crush who's now the town librarian in his home town of Cape Cod. Liam's boss suspects that Sherry is trading secrets with the North Koreans and wants Liam to bring her in for questioning. Sherry is on the run after her fiancé Victor was killed and her car and home ransacked. Victor's last words "trust no one" has caused Sherry to look at everyone as a potential assassin. Sherry is a nervous wreck by the time she bumps into her high school crush Liam at the airport after disembarking from her flight to Miami. When Liam tells Sherry "I need you to come with me", she runs off on Liam. Liam has no choice but to chloroform Sherry.

Liam takes Sherry, her dog Joe and her luggage onto his private plane to head to his family's winter cabin to hide out but when trouble follows them, they go on the run. The mystery of how trouble always manages to find them is solved when Liam finds a tracker on Sherry and after removing it, Liam takes Sherry to his fortified home to hide out. Sherry doesn't believe Liam, the guy she's been crushing on since high school, showed up out of the blue to help her. After all, why would Liam help her when he's hated her all his life? Back in high school, all he ever did was stare at her. Liam has always wanted to talk to Sherry but would become tongue-tied in her presence. Liam's crush on Sherry never went away and he's been secretly checking in on Sherry during his home visits. Will Liam be able to convince Sherry that his feelings for her are genuine as well and keep her safe?

Keeping the Spy is a gripping story that's action packed, hair-raisingly suspenseful and scorchingly hot. Victoria Pinder's latest book had me hooked with an exciting storyline and engaging characters with loads of chemistry. This book is a must read!

Liam maybe the baby of the family but he is the most adventurous, working for the CIA after his turn in the marines. He has been working with the FBI in prior novels, helping his brothers round up the bad guys out to get the woman of their dreams. But all of a sudden, two weeks before his last day, Black Falcon (his code name) is called upstairs to his boss's office to find out the girl he has dreamed of since high school, who is the librarian in Hyannis Port and his mother's good friend, has a dossier and is being tracked to Miami about to leave the country with classified secrets. Of course, he immediately jumps on the case, to protect her from the CIA and every foreign agent after her. Only problem is, she thinks Liam has always hated her, and her fiance told her to trust no one right before he was killed. Liam has quite the challenge to intercept her, get her and her guard dog out of the MIA airport, gain their trust, while flying her in his family jet first to his family's cabin in Maine, operating on her calf to cut out the tracker that was implanted without her knowledge, yachting her to Cape Cod, etc. An exciting adventure indeed, while he begins a relationship with Sherry, partnering with her guard dog to fight multiple followers, introducing her to the rest of his family, while deciding whom to trust in the CIA. A great read!

Liam’s last assignment with the CIA is to track down Sherry, his high school crush, and bring her in for questioning about trading secrets with the Koreans. Sherry is running scared as before her fiancé was killed, their home ransacked and he warned her to be careful. When Liam approaches her, she panics and takes off so Liam has no choice but to take her to his cabin to find out what was going on. When they are followed, they go on the run and as they spend time together they become close but will Liam be able to keep Sherry safe? This story has a great combination of suspense, action and chemistry that make for an enjoyable read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
