When you’re the daughter of the King and Queen of England, you have a birth given duty not only for your family but for your country. A Princess does not have the choice of love. Marriage is nothing more than an arranged match to boost alliances and feed the greed of the rich.
Princess Grace is now old enough to enter court and her journey is about to begin. Court wasn't what she had imagined, and Grace realises quickly everything she thought to be true was far from it. Through the depravity of court, the deceit and betrayal, she finds out that love is everywhere, even if it's not the usual kind.
She’s been raised to protect her virtue and in turn, her family’s reputation. If Grace gives in to temptation, she could ruin everything and that cannot happen. Not when your father wants you as a future Queen. But it's not only flirting that puts Grace in danger, hidden in shadows are people who would love to ruin Englands reputation and Grace seems the perfect target.
Can Grace find her way through many lies and deceit and find herself the right husband for her, even if her King has other ideas.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2016This book captured my attention and held it the whole way through. I love how it was very realistic as to how Princesses were treated in the past, not as a person who craves love, but as a object to gain land, loyalty, and treaties. Grace got lucky when she met James in the stable, and since he didn't know who she was she was able to be treated like any other person instead of someone needing to be courted. Grace and James fell in love over their secret meetings, and when it was brought out that they were both royalty, that just made everything better. But just because they fell in love doesn't mean a Happily Ever After with no additional surprises.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2016The King's Daughter is a revamped tale of love and duty. A wonderfully written story that takes place in historic England when a Princess married for duty, not for love, and put country before all things. K.T. Fisher has a way of sucking you in to her narrative and falling for her characters very quickly and thoroughly. She makes you want to jump in and make your feelings known, whether its slapping a fool or defending those being attacked. You root for the good guys and hope the bad ones learn their lesson.
Grace is the eldest Princess of King Stephan and Queen Marie, the rulers of England. She has just turned the appropriate age to attend court and marry. Her older brother George is already at court looking for his future queen when Grace and her ladies in waiting arrive. As the future King of England, George also must marry responsibly, a good match or an ally to the crown before love. That does not mean that his heart has to listen to his brain, as we quickly see a relationship blossom with Grace's good friend and lady in waiting, Jane. Drama abounds when Princes start vying for Grace's attention. Meanwhile, James is the future King of Scotland visiting England to see if he can find a future queen for himself. Can they all find love? Can their secrets be kept?
This is the first book I have read by this author, and I am intrigued. This is the first in a new series and I am looking forward to the next book. I hope it is about George and the dilemma he finds himself at the end of this book. I am becoming a very big fan of historical fiction and since this book does introduce us to a young Mary, Queen of Scots, I am hooked to see how this wonderful series unfolds. There is a major theme in this book, love. Whether it is love for family or spouse, it rings true and it is powerful. There are no small characters, just some we haven't had the privilege of getting to know yet and I look forward to diving into their stories. If I was able to pick a character to be friends with in real life, I would be honored to know Princess Grace and her friends.

This book was written unlike Ms. Fisher's other books but don't let that fool you! It's so full of emotions; I found myself laughing, getting tears and then angry for some of the characters! The story flowed wonderfully and I cannot wait to read what comes next! Definitely one click this today! I couldn't put it down. Another awesome book from KT!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 14, 2016I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review.
I'm a massive fan of KT Fisher and her writing style and although this book is very different to anything she has written before it was a really good read. I loved Princess Grace and the other characters even though I wanted to strangle a couple of them at times, the flow was excellent it really pulled you in until you reached the last page. Definitely a book to one click and I'm so hoping we get a book about Prince George next .
- Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2016I was kinda worried about reading this one at first cause it's not my usual type of book I would read but honestly I really enjoyed it. And can not wait for the next to see what happens with everyone else in the book.
