Kiss Me, Daddy: An Age Gap MM Romance (Club 83 Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 1,005 ratings

He's an adult who’s determined to fix the mess that is his life, but maybe he needs Daddy to show him the way.

Andy’s a hot mess with a mountain of debt, a useless degree, and a job he has zero interest in. He’s determined to make it on his own without relying on anyone for help… until he keeps crossing paths with a sexy, older man.

Dating isn’t easy when you’re a single dad and you still live with your ex. Funny, a lot of guys don’t believe that exes can be friends. But Joshua needs something to pull him out of the rut he’s stuck in. He never thought one night out with a buddy would lead him to the boy he can’t stop thinking about.

And when Andy accidentally calls him Daddy...Joshua can’t believe this boy could be his perfect match. But will it be too intense, too complicated to last?

Kiss Me, Daddy is the first book in the Club 83 series, featuring a stubborn boy, a first-time Daddy, and an extended family that’s a little too supportive. Set in the fictional town of Annandale, it features cameo appearances from the other connected series but can be read in any order.

This book was Great. I loved every part of it.

When I think about books with a "daddy" and "age play/age gap" involved this is exactly what I am hoping and looking for.

Andy and Joshua aren't just playing at "daddy & boy" and throwing those words around in a playing/joking manner but it's an actual lifestyle for them. Its who they are to each other. You can feel their bond in every word and action and neither of them can deny their feelings and who they are to each other. And that's what I've been looking for in these types of books.. I did find the living situation a little odd, but if it works for them, then whatever *shrug*. I enjoyed Andy and his personality and how Joshua seamlessly fits into his life and tries to make it all better for him just the way a real "daddy" should. Looking forward to reading more in this series and more from this author. Definitely going back to check out all their other books.

This is the first book in the Club 83 series. Although the books don't have to be read in order they do reference the couple's from the other Annandale series.

    * How did the book make you feel?: Daddy kink is not my kink but this story got me thinking more about it. I've read more m/f daddy kink books and that is just not for me. Reading the m/m daddy kink is different. I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read.

    * How do you feel about how the story was told?: The story was told from the perspective of the main characters. I was able to understand them more and get to know them better with the story being told this way.

    * What did you think about the main characters?: Andy and Joshua, they are just too sweet. I liked that Andy wanted to support himself and do what made him happy and Joshua was there to support him no matter what.

    * Which parts of the book stood out to you?: I loved when Joshua's wife stood up to her boyfriend when he made a nasty remark about Joshua was 'queer'.

    * What did you think about the ending?: The end was sweet, the story was complete with no loose ends.

    * What is your impression of the author?: I really like this author. I already have the next book to read.

This is the first book I've read from this author. I try not to judge books by their covers, or titles, but I would by lying if I said that I didn't have some expectations from books based upon those. This story was a bit different than I anticipated, but in a good way. I like when a story leads me along instead of going in a predictable route. This story was sweet, and I loved the age dynamic of their relationship. While I wouldn't necessarily want a daddy, I can say for certain I think it's amazing to have someone who has their lives together. Someone who is strong, confident, and supportive can be an anchor in an otherwise adrift life. Great read, looking forward to book #2.

But this really needs another edit or two! I had a hard time with the context for some of the supporting characters, I was often confused about who was who. I also didn’t think Gabe’s character was believable as a ten year old, in dialogue or in the way he acted. Also Paul became Peter at the end which is something that a first edit or beta reader should have caught easily.

That all being said though, I loved Andy and rooted for him constantly especially when he stood up for himself. I wish there had been more detail about his dad though. At one point Andy’s sister eludes to the fact that their dad cared about Andy the most, but if that’s true then why? It seems abnormal that the youngest son would have all the pressure when the older brother had a “perfect” life as Andy said at one point.

I love a daddy kink but this one was all over the place both their vanilla relationship and the daddy kink. Needs a good bit more development and detail plus a much better edit to really shine.

I liked it for 3.5 stars worth. It's a nice HEA May-December Daddy kink that isnt very heavy with the sex side, and family included - story worth reading especially if it ticks your boxes, the type of read that you prefer, but not something that I'd go recommending around to friends as "you need to read this!" I didn't like it enough for me to love it. I liked the first half more than the rest. The reason is that after they got together it somehow started dragging, for me. Something didn't work to engage me enough. I started scrolling and that's not good.

I thought the kinkier side of the daddy dynamic and that part of Joshua's character in it maybe came a bit too out of nowhere. It didn't feel right. It didn't fit, felt off with the original character portrayed. That's just how it felt. It also felt off that they didn't go over what the rules are, like one typically sees in any kinky titles. If they neither had experience, Joshua's MO was a bit too out of nowhere, out of character. If Joshua had experience, he should've know better. I'm sure the author knows these things as one of the genre authors, so why the blunder?

Oh how my heart aches for Andy, his parents have truly done a number on him. He needs all the love and affection in the world. Joshua is so caring, kind hearted and willing to go after what he wants. Gabriel is a sassy 10 year old who is wiser than his years. This book drew me in from the first page and I loved the dynamics. Great read.

This book was not over the top and not under written either. It falls into the in between of the two which is perfect. Its hard to stick to a book if its too much or too little. It kept my attention and I couldn't put it down its an amazing book and would recommend it to anyone.

The synopsis gave me the impression this book would be about age play, but that's not what this is. It's not even D/s either, not completely.

IT IS STILL A GREAT BOOK THOUGH

I liked meeting Andy & Joshua though, and I thought Gabe was just the best kid ever.

This is a cute, lighthearted read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great read with an interesting and unique family dynamic

I know the author says the series' set in this town can be read in any order, but it really felt like this was a spin off and I was missing something at the start. I was able to catch up pretty quickly, but that initial "what am I missing" feeling made it a little disjointed to begin with.

I did enjoy getting to know Andy and Joshua - their chemistry was scorching from the start, and Joshua's family dynamics very unique and interesting. I have never read a book in all my years with a dynamic like this (perhaps I haven't been looking in the right places, but I loved finding something so new to me!).

The storyline flowed well, and I loved that we got dual POV so could really get to know both our MCs well. I also enjoyed the secondary characters, including Joshua's son, Gabriel, and ex, Amy.

I’ve read ‘daddy’ books before but haven’t heard of a mm ‘daddy’ book and I’m so glad I found a new trope that I enjoy reading. It was a really great book and it’s also a new to me author which is always a plus.
I really liked the storyline, it wasn’t full of steam but had the right amount for their story. Joshua and Andy were perfect together and I really liked how their relationship grew.
If you like reading mm and want to add in a bit of kink you need to read Daddy and Little Ones book.

A nice Daddy-Boy story with age-gap and Single father pieces. A lot happens in the story but the forward-slow breath-waiting aspect in the relationship was a Bit frustrating because i expected more intimacy faster. ;)
