    This was downright fantastic. I absolutely fell in love with Layla and Jude. Layla is a strong, confident woman who fiercely loves the foster kids she volunteers to work with on her weekends. When she’s not volunteering there, she works as a professional burlesque performer at a fancy club.

    Jude is the perfect enemies-to-lovers romantic “enemy” and their chemistry is downright off the charts! Their enemy status starts off with Jude mistakenly assuming Layla is a certain type of girl who burned him in the past, just by how she looks. He is instantly antagonistic towards her and Layla just doesn’t take it! Completely outraged, this sparks a feud between the two that is full of hilarious pranks and moments of really hot chemistry up until the pinnacle of when they realize they have a lot more in common than they thought and the biases and assumptions are cleared up. After that, it’s no holds barred for their romance and ends in a fantastic HEA.

    Absolutely loved it. Can’t wait to read more from Ms. Prince!

    Jessica Prince has written some amazing books, but this one just didn’t do it for me. In one of the first chapters, it’s mentioned that Layla gets to listen to Jude have sex with another woman. This author has put this scene in at least a few of her books and I absolutely hate it every time!! Why?? Do readers actually like it? I absolutely hate when I have to read about any hero having sex with another woman and the fact that the heroine gets to listen to it—just gross.

    I didn’t find Layla or Jude likable. She was snarky and immature and he was just an all around jerk. The push/pull, hot/cold and mixed signals went on forever it seemed. I found their constant bickering and insults just annoying and immature. They go from enemies to just friends and back to enemies and by 50% in I didn’t even care if they got together or not.

    Once, they do finally get together, the nonstop insults and fighting finally stopped, but I wasn’t into them as a couple. They break up for a little bit and I wasn’t even sad. There is a HFN which I found disappointing because he was talking about putting a ring on her finger for real in the previous chapters but he never does. They just move in together.
